- I was inspired by Pablo Cimadevila and his amazing videos along with his masterful jewelry design. I wanted to see what it was like to make a videos in his style just to see how much work was involved in making one. This was very humbling just seeing how much work goes into making a video like this. That being said I still don't even feel that my video is close to the level of Pablo's work.
Just to give some info about this video. It took me 3 days to shoot the 110 clips needed to make this video and it was about 25GB of 1080p video. Editing this video took me another 2 full days. I do find this video style to be very rewarding to make but it takes a lot of time, planning and work to get it done right 😅

Small tip. You need no bees wax if you select the saw blade so that at least two teeth matches the tickness of the material.
Reduces the snapping also.
You did a fine job with both the manufacture of the ring and the making of the video sir. I was a bit confused (it's not hard ro confuse me!) about who I was watching at first but enjoyed the experience in any case!
Blessings and peace
These type of videos will get you followers galore. And you deserve it. Very talented. I see where you said you watch Pablo the magnificent. Amen brother!

@@georgealderson4424 I enjoy watching Randy work. I personally have learned so much from him. If you have watch his recent videos Randy I have been going through a rough time. And you probably already know this if you do watch all of his videos like I do. And this video he did with the music was a complete 180° then his usual videos. I found it extremely refreshing and I’m hoping that Randy is finding himself again. But I’m really glad that you noticed the difference the change in this video. The fact that you were not sure who you were watching because it was so different. I think that was what Randy was trying to get across to all of his fans... and he did it because you had to do a double take, I had to do a double take. I haven’t read all the comments but I think the video with the music was fabulous. And to Randy you will definitely get the hang of doing music videos. You’ll be able to do them in your sleep eventually. You are a perfectionist Randy. But that’s OK too and that’s what makes you an excellent jewelry designer and teacher...
Very Creative and Beautiful work
I am also inspired by Pablo Cimadevila to show my talent to all the beautiful people out there....😍
Keep Making Videos
Great work Randy! Yeah Pablo is amazing he definitely raised the bar higher in jewelry making videos in the way he shoots scenes and edits his videos , he is an inspiration for all of us. Really enjoyed watching this video 👍
Thank you very much 😊 👍
Beautifully done. Love the filming and design of this one. Pablo is such an inspiration for me too
Thank you and yeah making art out of making art is a very interesting concept. 😁

amaizing work. from greece . i love it

I love opal, this was a great video!
This was awesome! Loved the visuals, you were right all that hard work paid off. Your rings are never disappointing. Keep up the good work man!👍
Thank you and I'm happy to hear that you liked it 😊
I never get tired of this video.. The music is so beautiful and the lyrics are so heartfelt it really draws you into your video... but this time I was listening to the lyrics waiting to watch you use the star bond glue and how you placed your gem chips onto the ring I began to cry. It wasn’t a bad thing it was a good thing. Randy thank you for everything you do!!! You are amazing!!!
Do you know the song tittle?
Awesome video. Beautifully done and just what I needed today. Thanks!

Thank you very much, I was fun to make 😁
Can you please share the full machine detail of the lathe. (A full purchase if what's needed) I only see the attachment for rings from most videos.
I would like to see more Videos like that. Its amazing and satisfying to watch it.
I will be making more but I will still make my other type of training videos too. That way people can make the stuff I'm showing off haha
Great .....made the the job so intersting.video is really good to watch every thing is so clear..it was so nice.

Beautifully done
Thank you very much 😁👍

Well thank you. I hope I can make more like this in the future 😁👍
@@GomeowCreations I hope you do too. I wish I had your talent :)
Nice craftsmanship!
Thank you very much 😁👍
Cool ring
Great vid bro, I stopped doing these inlay rings due to low prices we now get for them hard to make any profit from the demanding work and art skill wet it takes when you look on Etsy even Amazon prices are cheap- I work in mainly gold now and sometimes silver. Keep up the great vids I really enjoyed watching
That's is some very fine work
Thanks you 😊👍
Very nice, beautiful ring and video too!
Thank you 😁👍
Awesome video. Loved your music selection!
Thank you very much 😊
Great video. Thanks for sharing. 😃
No problem and thanks for watching 😁👍
Pablo saludos cordiales desde la Argentina...vos sos el verdadero señor de los anillos... excelente como siempre
Very beautiful and inspirational
Well thank you 😁👍
Man, that looks like so much fun! I'd love to have a hobby shop and do stuff like this.
Thanks and you can for not too much money. That being said you will not have some of the high end tools but you can still make it work. 😁👍 I have a video showing how to make an inlay ring without a lathe.
I started making jewelry in April with an investment of about $1200 and I have made my money back twice since then. You can do it
Edit: A $14 harbor freight butane torch goes a long way
Yeah you are right if you really work at it. I like the $20 propane plumbing torch myself 😁👍
Beautiful.
😁
This was beautiful. Definitely your time wasn’t wasted.
Thank you 😁
Thank you for sharing yet again!!! So glad you are back and up and running. May I ask, what is the gage of the silver sheet and square wire?
Thanks and it's good to be back. The sheet is 0.6mm and the wire is 1.3mm 😊👍
I'd buy it...
Tool & Talent goals...
Well I could sell you one if you would like it or your could try to make one yourself 😁 I have tutorials showing how to do it
Beautiful right here yeeeeeeeeeeeee
Thank you 😁👍
GomeowCreations you welcome
Amazing
Thank you 😁👍
Wow Randy... great work! And to be honest Pablo is like inspiration lvl universe to me as well, but, alas, I lack too much equipment to even attempt some works... Kudos to you! We want more! 👍👍👍👍👍😁
Thank you very much 😊 I hope to be able to continue to make videos like that along with my helpful ones. I have been uping my game in my videos as of late. I have been using b-roll when that was something I have never done in the past.
@@GomeowCreations Man it shows! I know how hard it is to create AND film AND edit the film... so yeah you've come a long way [I need to nag about still using my phone to film LOL]. Also have I mentioned I absolutely love the fact that you make the inlay rings without a lathe? 🤯
Yeah, I did a lot of videos just using a galaxy S3 for some time. I have upgraded my camera and just got a better lens to get detailed shots.
Also yeah making inlays without a lathe can be done like I showed in my video about it but a lathe does make it a lot faster haha
Excellent job on the ring and video. What speed do you set your lathe at?
I knew immediately who'd inspired you for this! You've captured that spirit well, bravo. You do amazing videos yourself and, although we've never met, you've made the deepest impact on me. Your rhythm, speed, clarity and style see why I make rings. Don't think for one second about changing how you teach.
Haha I'm very happy that I was able to capture the same feeling of that video style 😁
I don't plan on changing how I make my tutorial videos but I do want to make more videos like this one every so often 👍
Классное кольцо! 👍
I had no idea how that work was done, so thank you for the demo
No problem and I have some some videos that go in to full detail if you are looking into doing you for yourself. Just look at any inlay video I have done 😅
@@GomeowCreations I looked for it, did not see it, but will look some more.

@@GomeowCreations Thank you ! !
I watched one of those Pablo films you mentioned - the butterfly - can't believe the patience and talent. Thanks again
Fantastic video! I have a question though, you've used a square wire to create your ring, in the place where I live such wires are not common, do you think it would be possible to use a regular round wire?
Pretty ring!😀
Thank you 😁
No PVC here ,Quality Rings with love ❤️ 🌹
PVC?
Hi! I love all of your beautiful works and videos! Could you tell me what's polishing tool that you used in end of the video? It looks like a spinning ball vise(with foot pedal) and there's a triangle filing attachment to polish the stones.....and what's the black compound you use to polish the stone? Looking forward to your answer and thanks in advance!!
Amazing.
Well thank you
Impresionante piezas únicas excelentes diseños
Thank you very much 😁👍
Damn you and your videos! You're making me want to ease into making rings like this. All kidding aside, thanks for making the videos, and the rings are beautiful.
Super job...
Thank you 😁
Very Cool 👍👍
Thanks 👍
Muito bonito bela obra de arte
Thank you 😊👍
Great video.
Thanks 😁
Hello sir ring is nicely done! 👌 Can u plz tell me which liquid do you use for sticking stones and also for upper side shining and sticking? I am from India and I want to make it. I am also a goldsmith.
GREAT WORK BRO
Thanks 😁
Прекрасно!!! 👍👏
😊👍
skillful work 👍
Thank you very much 😊
Well done from a previous Jeweller
Where did you buy the metal trays you held the opal inlay material in? I've been looking everywhere for those?
Superbe video .tks so much for share . 👍👍
No problem and thank you 😁👍
I don't know Pablo, but this is bloody awesome!!
Thank you very much and you should check out his work.
I may have missed it in the list, but what is used to secure the shards? Is it just epoxy? Or something else?
My 1st time watching ur video... u remind me of pablo.... :)
Haha thanks 😊 that is what I was going for in this video.
Thats a great choice!!! Keep up the good work... may u get tons of subscribers!!! U have my support
É lindo seus trabalhos com jóias parabéns...
😁👍
오팔 인레이 반지 예뻐요~^^
Wow! I love this and the whole inlay series is incredible.
I wanted to ask if it’s okay to use normal round wire and not the squared one?
You can but you will have some problems getting it flat on the side and hiding the gaps from soldering it
Thats a lot of work. Looks great tho and I love the video style of pablo
Thank you and it was some very different work and thinking style to get this done. 😁👍
Very nice
Thank you 😁
Excellent work, and indeed great filming. What is the resin (or glue) you used for fixing the opal bits? It takes well the polishing... Thank you
So I use the CA Glue from Starbond, I also work with them so I have a 15% off code if you want to get anything from them "GOMEOWCREATIONS" bit.ly/StarBond
As for resin I use this UV resin for now but I'm still looking for other options. amzn.to/39lUrpi
Let me know if that helps and if you have any other questions 😁👍
Again awesome video. I have just started making opal inlaid rings. Im javing a problem of cloudyness though. What do you use for a final sealer. By the way I have figured out the jump ring maker so that I am not beaking blades.
Hey! I hope you are doing well and it's good to hear that you are having better luck with the blades.
What are you using as a glue? I used a UV resin in this video but if you would like to use a good glue that I haven't had any cloudy problems, here is a link. www.starbond.com/?rfsn=3704886.6a727a and you can use code GOMEOWCREATIONS to save some money. I like thin and medium glue with the aerosol accelerator. Also they offer a black, brown and white glue so you have some nice options.
If you want the clear resin I use you can find it here amzn.to/2PH42h6 and you need a uv light amzn.to/3ik1qC6 but keep in mind that resin is harder to polish.
Wow, talk about production value! I'm exhausted just thinking about how much work went into this. Well done!!
Hey off topic but can you recommend any files? I'm using some hardware store cheapos and would like to get some nice wood handle ones.
Thanks and yeah it was a lot of work but as you can see it really shows 😁
As for files, I also use cheap hardware files for the most part but I do have one file that I do really like that I got in a supply box. Grobet USA is what is printed on it. Also I have no files will handles on them, I should 3D print some 😁👍
@@GomeowCreations yeah you should! Haha thanks for info 👌
Great job on the video and the ring . I loved the music and the lighting. The video was very “sexy” ;). Thanks
Well thank you very much 😊
Dope Video, You just showing off now lol. I need to know how to do ALL of that.
Lol here you go th-cam.com/video/3CCiTSnBwfQ/w-d-xo.html this will go over everything I did. 😁👍
I’m looking for a lathe but know nothing about the. Can I use a wood lathe for this?
Love the video....what did you dip the shank piece in right after you filed the ends before soldering? Was it acetone or something to clean the surface before soldering? I recently saw someone pickle before soldering instead of simply cleaning oils and such off with alcohol or acetone prior to soldering. Thanks
Also, what kind of lathe are you using? Metal or wood lathe? Wondering after seeing what you take down the inlay with...tool fixed in rest. And are you using any CA activator? Thanks
@GomeowCreations es un video maravilloso! Me gustó mucho también otro que vi donde hablas y explicas. Que tipo de adhesivo usas? cianoacrilato tipo loctite?

@@GomeowCreations Thank you! I love your videos.
Did you use real Opal? Can you tell me the measurement of the ring, because i dont know how thin i can turn the material, i would make it, 1 mm each side and 1 mm "deep"(do you think its deep enough that the resin will hold the stone? Awesome work!
Complimenti 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️Bravissimo ❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍
😁
Gorgeous outcome! Does anyone know what liquid material was used to keep the opal in place? Is it a glue or resin? Thanks!
It was UV resin 😁👍
