Interesting vlog of the weekend! Btw i saw you had electrolytes alongside the Maurten drink - they really recommend you dont do that as it can stop the hydrogel forming. Ive noticed myself in hard water areas it's difficult to get the product not to go clumpy. That said, ive also used maurten in marathons alongside other fuel which contained electrolytes and had no issues! Just throwing it out there if you're trying to tweak fuelling in the next one. Great run despite the stomach issues!
Both ecosystems to different things well. I race with AW SE and my old Garmin FR 245. AW is mostly due to my Stryd footpod, since Apple has the best integration with Stryd, including audible power alerts to my headphones. Plus, having a Garmin allows me to use Ant+ for all my devices, and then Bluetooth for the AW. Garmin also has built in Live Activity tracking so my spouse can see how i'm doing. And then there is the paranoia of 1 device messing up during a race..since I don't 100% trust my own internal RPE at the marathon distance.
Love the video, thanks for sharing! Could you do a haul of all the gear etc you got? I’m excited for when I can go!

why do you use Garmin and Apple Watch? Someone is better?
I’m still testing between the two! I’ll do an in-depth video on the ultra 2 soon😄
