Man I really gotta admit, Scout is such a good addition to a horror game. I mean, every horror game seems to be the same now... "Puzzle don't get caught puzzle puzzle puzzle don't get caught" but having Scout there for comedic relief is such a breath of fresh air. Reminds me of the days of OddWorld. Creepy with some comedy relief.

Maybe their next game, or DLC for this one will provide more info on the idea of this studio continuing to try to gain world domination. Hell, I'd be glad to see a DLC or second game where the world IS dominated and you have to re-visit this studio, except it's gotten bigger and deadlier. I could see the master puppets (especially Riley? The scientist, can't remember names worth a damn rn) perfecting their craft of making puppets, and repairing any damages done to them. Making harder tests, and bigger, more terrifying monsters. I'd love to see a game where you return to the studio, in an attempt to shut down the show. Maybe even using the show to break the spell on anyone else. Either way, Scout being a part of this universe is a super nice addition to the game. Edit; maybe when the host escapes the studio with scout dead, he tries telling the world about the show and studio in an attempt to shut it down. Maybe he's recovered by police on the outside and they end up accidentally giving the puppets the means to start their world domination. I'd love to see the idea explored that he left the studio, spreading Scout's message of "stop these evil bastards" only for the big puppets to not only stop any attempts at shutting it down, but use it as a catalyst for their army. Who knows. It'll definitely be cool to see where they go with the story, hopefully it's one they continue on.

Moat likely the next game will see the protagonist coming back, like the journalist (cause he's just a college reporter, no one will believe him, although his mouth is sewed shut so hopefully they at least believe he was kidnapped and drugged. Which will hopefully lead to finding the other kidnapped people in the holding room. Mortimer will probably flee the studio, Riley is probably gonna be fused to her dog next time we see them, and Knick knack will probably take their place as main problem since Mortimer himself doesn't seem to take an active role in torture. Either way, if Scout were kept alive at the end, it would make things too easy for the cops/army/everyone to believe the protagonist and thus thier would be no second game cause cops would just that place down the same night. And vigilantes would torch it.

It's like when you finish bendy and the ink machine when you finish the game toy get a device which can reader hidden messages. This game is is a lot similar to bendy and the ink machine
At the tea party bit, if you didn't switch to scout and just did the puzzle as yourself it would have been easier to control the teapots. Plus, if you did that you could have seen the device Mortimer had flipped to your side as he slammed the table in anger.

Edit : I now realise we met daisy, but I think we should have got a better version, what I mean is, where she is not a horrible sock puppet thing, like actual daisy. Edit 2: Turns out the sock puppet wasn't actually daisy, she was named Kathy

Feel like knowing she was dead/gone/replaced would be something Scout would know. That and the hairstyle seemed different, but Riley would be the type to just 'fix' her and not say anything about it. Maybe we'll get a dlc or prequel game where you play the reporter taking the pictures and you get to see Knack and Daisy. Or maybe just an update where you can see them in another room but not interact with them so as to not change the gameplay/story too much, but that's if they're still around.
I love the tea time scene. The glitchy fumbling of the kettle and saucer in the player's hands and appliance physics, combined with the masterful voice acting, character interactions, model animations and the all-in-all chaos of the scene had me laughing to the point of slipping off my chair. That's how comedy is written!
The idea and use of VR was pretty neat, but still lots of room for improvement. I really liked the writing of the characters, especially Scout. Her dialogue was perfect for a horror-comedy. If they update this in future, they should try to patch up the glitches and make the mechanics smoother (It tends to clip a lot) and improve the ques of the dialogue in character groups as it is very distracting when they all yap at once. I thought the lighting looked too dark at times too. Overall interesting concept, plenty to work on. Hope they take feedback on board.
Oh, that sequel could probably have you sneaking back into the werehouse the puppets are all in. You'd/the host will probably have to do some things for Knick Knack to get him to repair Scout
Agreed. Then you and Scout make outta the warehouse and tell the world about what happened. Then the government bombs that hell hole into oblivion and You and Scout get to host the World's top rated talk show *"Talk to the Hand."*
Gorilla Dash or in the sequel you get a package from Mortimer with a picture of Scout's arm and a note that says "Looks like there's something you've forgotten. Come back, we'll let you both in."
Games like this beg to be a bit longer, but I suppose what we got here was good enough. It sucks that Scout 'died' though, since you know...she's a puppet. Plus I'd much rather there was another segment where Mortimer chased you down and you saw Riley getting ripped to pieces for failing Mortimer.
Spoilers In a theory video i watched, She's acually alive! she took over our body before she died and became us in order to escape to the ''Host world'', and it seems like she's not the only puppet who took control over the host's body and escaped to the Host world
There could be many reasons as to why the Puppets became strange monsters of their former selves, like Railey was clearly a brilliant and careing scientist who loved to gather interesting data and well when she was animated by the spell she became twisted out of shape, having no morals since we can see how little she cared for her fellow puppet's lives by transforming her dog into an abomination and tortureing both puppets and people for "data". But the reason for both nick nack and Daisy are missing was that Daisy was transformed into a Sockpuppet clearly by railey through either spite or because Daisy was emotionaly unstable and was either a loving and careing housewife or an angry beast which could have ticked off Mortimer who then ordered Railey to "repourous" daisy into a sockpuppet and now she lives as an abomination, but nick nack could have killed himself in a way of artistic display or who knows what he would have done.but i would think that the spell that Owen used made thr puppets alive and they acted like what they would have done in the start but slowly degraded in humanity

The reason we don't see daisy in the game is because they didn't have enough time and money to put her in without her level being totally shoehorned.
Side note, Mortimer and Riley fighting like a strict parent and energetic child during the tea party was really funny to me. I don’t know why but it was.😅

These guys made an amazing game and Scout is such a great character. You really build a strong connection with her in a short time and it's really painful when she passes. She's such a pal, I'd definitely try to get her out and help her live life to the fullest!

I absolutely love this game because I have an OC for Hazbin Hotel that’s a doll demon, who specializes in puppetry and ventriloquism, so basically any form of manipulation entertainment like -Dolls -Puppets -Dummies -Toys -Marionettes {Which are her favorite version of puppetry because she can control her choice of victim and they do exactly as she says} -Voodoo dolls Those are the examples I can think of that can used for manipulative entertainment. So this game is ABSOLUTELY up my alley, and now there’s a game based around puppetry. This is a cool game, there’s a lot to unpack about this. Scout was an interesting character because she isn’t like other puppets {19:40}
So now after the new tapes came out for the new game now I realize what Mortimer said, the sock puppet on the left isn't Daisy danger it's actually Kathy. 8:25 he says it.
Part 1 has 17 curses Part 2 has 11 curses 17 + 11 = 28 Part 3 curses : 0:29 3:22 4:00 7:14 11:44 11:48 12:05 12:35 14:47 15:08 15:45 16:34 17:10 Part 3 has 13 curses the actual total of curses in Hello Puppets : 41 curses wow this game is sure not family friendly. Most of the curses are Scout soooo yeah She's/He's a sailor mouth :/
The one thing I didn't like about this game was that it seemed like it was meant to have all 4 of the main show's cast but they ran out of time for development. Imagine if NickNack was helping you because he liked defying Rhiley. But you do something that makes him go manic and attempt to kill you himself. Then there was the last one who would also chase you because you angered her too badly when meeting with her? And then all four of them in the end at the table for tea with Mortimer having to keep them all under control showing his overall authority of all of them despite their anger. Finally the final chase being a mix of all three's chase scenes. So much potential and they could have went further into development with Anthony and the creator as well for all the secret spaces. So many missed chances.
After Midnight show, the fact that Riley still cared so much for rosco ignoring the fact that he's controlled by Mortimer and it showed near the end when he says “Have your fun”
A new video? I LOVE IT but the ending made me cry TBH and the creators of the game should make a another ending that can be unlocked be the actions we do to make the game fun.for example by not giving the tea to everyone then be taken to a chamber that you have to try and escape but when you find the exit there would be an epic boss fight then the puppet would live😭
From the other gameplays I've seen I didn't know you could wait to press the button. Normally, people would just press the button and run for it. I liked seeing the new dialogue options
Feel like there could be room to expand on this game. One add on that I personally think would be cool would be a 2 player option, one person as Host and the other as Scout.
If you pause the video at 9:53 Mortimer 's puppeteer has the investigators tattoo on his hand. Edit i went back to the first episode to see if he was the same puppeteer and i found out that yes he did
Yeah I really hope there's an update to it where they explore the other two puppets. Like have Riley's part be only condensed down to the lab tests and the case at the end. Then have maybe a section where you use the Body Swap mechanics to get some peices of the pin where the main bad is Daisy (saying she's the smallest of the main 4). Have one where it's back to corporation based puzzles with Nick Nack in the lead. And have them all tie back in the final chase.

Plus as it currently is it maybe considered unoriginal by some people. So having the extension may give it more personality or charm that other games similar to it don't have. Because to me just having Scout was an improvement, not only are they a great comedic relief character they do have some rather interesting concepts of having a character attached to you...
I wish the studio hadn't forced them to keep the game short; I'm curious what the original story might have been, since we were supposed to interact with Daisy and Nick Nack, too.

These guys made an amazing game and Scout is such a great character. You really build a strong connection with her in a short time and it's really painful when she passes.

-Puppets
-Dummies
-Toys
-Marionettes {Which are her favorite version of puppetry because she can control her choice of victim and they do exactly as she says}
-Voodoo dolls
Those are the examples I can think of that can used for manipulative entertainment. So this game is ABSOLUTELY up my alley, and now there’s a game based around puppetry. This is a cool game, there’s a lot to unpack about this. Scout was an interesting character because she isn’t like other puppets

wow this game is sure not family friendly. Most of the curses are Scout soooo yeah She's/He's a sailor mouth :/
The one thing I didn't like about this game was that it seemed like it was meant to have all 4 of the main show's cast but they ran out of time for development. Imagine if NickNack was helping you because he liked defying Rhiley. But you do something that makes him go manic and attempt to kill you himself. Then there was the last one who would also chase you because you angered her too badly when meeting with her? And then all four of them in the end at the table for tea with Mortimer having to keep them all under control showing his overall authority of all of them despite their anger. Finally the final chase being a mix of all three's chase scenes.
So much potential and they could have went further into development with Anthony and the creator as well for all the secret spaces. So many missed chances.

After Midnight show, the fact that Riley still cared so much for rosco ignoring the fact that he's controlled by Mortimer and it showed near the end when he says “Have your fun”
A new video? I LOVE IT but the ending made me cry TBH and the creators of the game should make a another ending that can be unlocked be the actions we do to make the game fun.for example by not giving the tea to everyone then be taken to a chamber that you have to try and escape but when you find the exit there would be an epic boss fight then the puppet would live😭

Feel like there could be room to expand on this game. One add on that I personally think would be cool would be a 2 player option, one person as Host and the other as Scout.

Seriously? No Nick Knack or Daisy? I liked this game but honestly the ending was so disappointing, I wanted to know more about the four puppets.
Yeah I really hope there's an update to it where they explore the other two puppets. Like have Riley's part be only condensed down to the lab tests and the case at the end. Then have maybe a section where you use the Body Swap mechanics to get some peices of the pin where the main bad is Daisy (saying she's the smallest of the main 4). Have one where it's back to corporation based puzzles with Nick Nack in the lead. And have them all tie back in the final chase.

Plus as it currently is it maybe considered unoriginal by some people. So having the extension may give it more personality or charm that other games similar to it don't have. Because to me just having Scout was an improvement, not only are they a great comedic relief character they do have some rather interesting concepts of having a character attached to you...
