  • Going outside my comfort zone. That's what this tournament is all about to me. Not only am I learning along the way on the very unique blueback herring bite that I'm on, but I have the pressure of making the Elite Series on my shoulders. The journey to qualify has been full of downs for me this season and this is my chance to turn things around in a big way. Day one was full of good decisions, fun, and explosive strikes. I had found all the bass I felt I needed, but adjustments had to be made. Find out more in the video! If you haven't yet, please SUBSCRIBE!

    FISH ON! Has always been a favorite expression for me. Your Guntersville picks (which were my picks, too) are killing that event. I never did retrieve a crank bait that fast in Montana. Good job on the fish landing.

      @@AndrewUpshawFishing I'd already picked my team and you validated my decisions. We both nailed it. I'm now in 39th place. My goal was just to get ahead of Todd and Brad. That done, now I guess, I go for the throat. How long did your white shirt stay white? He's right about your culls.

    Great video, are you throwing spooks?? That would be fun. Thank you for making the video, I know what a pain it is. I am fishing a week at Almanor in California, the bite has been extremely tough because the shad are balled up everywhere and the smallies are gourging themselves. The only pattern is throwing in the bait balls with a pop-r and getting reaction bites. And of course the smoke from the fires are making it worse. Keep Grinding young man.

    Random question...do you/have you told your CO where to cast during the tourney when you were not fishing?? IE after a fish catch? I know you leaned heavy on your graphs to lead you to the fish.

    • @AndrewUpshawFishing
      @AndrewUpshawFishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My day two guy zeroed. But it wasn't from lack of trying. He had 4 or 5 bites and missed everyone. He fished for bigs ones most of the day with a 130 sized whopper plopper.

  • @ordinaryangler4153
    @ordinaryangler4153 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey Andrew once you g err t your limit off a school are you letting your co angler get his 3?

    • @AndrewUpshawFishing
      @AndrewUpshawFishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s a good question. The deal is, I wasn’t throwing to just one spot. The fish were literally swimming around the boat. So a co could throw in any direction and get a bite. My first day guy had 2 keepers and lost like 10. Day two had 4 big bites and didn’t land one, and day three caught like 10 keepers.

    Constructive criticism......love your vids, follow u, Scott, Todd and Hallman. Love all the vids you guys put out. Especially the house scenes, really awesome......but you guys show too many of the same clips in each video. I’ll watch Scott and then see same clips in yours or Todd’s. Maybe try to film travel to the event more. Seriously love all 4 of your vids watch them all just something maybe you guys can work on......hope all u guys make the elites and do it again next year

    • @AndrewUpshawFishing
      @AndrewUpshawFishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The issue is we all have camera's up at random times and don't edit together. So sometimes you will see some overlap. We talked about it in depth a few times, but it's hard to say what Macoy will put in Scott's videos. I try my best to bring original content for my followers and subscribers, but we all have to remember its just me editing, filming, and producing these shows. Thank you for watching and putting the time to point that out. I will do my very best to eliminate the issue, but sometimes there will be overlap.
