As you can see in some of the photos, some of the buttons on the control panels are still lit. There's also still the electricity buzzing around and the dehumidifiers keeping the equipment dry. It's still a very 'alive' place.
@modgemtb the radiation signs are for special level measuring.they use radiation to detect how much quantity of some material is inside a tank. usually used for measuring the coal inside the storage silos but it is used for liquids as well.
One of the switchgear corridors is live. I think it powers the core systems and is the reason why you can still switch a lot of the lights on in that place.
That's the funny thing; the place it still buzzing with power and as you've seen, even some of the lights still work. There are many places in the building where you can hear switchgear and other electronic equipment that is humming and there are machines still left on!
The 2nd song is called "Distortion" by Mark Knight. It was part of the Duke Nukem 3D Atomic Edition (Playstation) OST. Find the song in his "gamesounds" website. should find it no bother with a bit of googling.
@drummer1495 Thanks for your comment. These are my visits from Summer 2009 and I only had a compact camera with me - but I have since been back with an SLR and will probably make another video soon of my better pictures. In particular the ones here really lack wideness!
