It sounded sad but also hopeful at the same time. Judging by the lyrics and how it changes along the tone from the verses to the chorus and instrumental break, I think both of those emotions were exactly what they were going for with it.

yes, it sounds weird at first when they do key change in the chorus without any string run to fill the gap.
but, after hearing this song a lot, I found out that maybe they did that to represent the urgency of the lyric "ANDWAE! ajik modeun ge neoro gadeukae" ("NO! everything is still filled with you"), this part really wanna show us the 'argue sound in their mind'.
like "I wanna eat junkfood, ANDWAE! I'm on diet.." haha what did I do here 😂

I do like the jarring effect of the key changes, I‘d like to know if the key changes mirror the intervals used in the chord progression in any other part of the song, I’ll have to listen to it again to find out but I would love it if there was a correlation between the macro and micro here.

I really dig the Japanese influence in this. Having watched a lot of anime in my youth I can hear the similarities and paired with the M/V I really dig the story they are telling. Thanks for another great React video!
The song is amazing. I just find the audio mixing of the voices really strange for some parts. Like in the chorus, Eunha and Yuju voices sound so..effected, compressed and "behind"? The high notes, especially Yuju's, also sound very sharp and treble-y. Another example is the catch phrases with SinB/Yerin singing "pyeolcheojineun Singing star", which all sounded very effected. Yet, we all know they are more than capable of sounding great without all these effects. I don't know what the person mixing it was thinking. Anyone feels the same way?
The whole song sounds strangely muted. I picked up on that first listen but thought it mightve been a YT compressing the audio strangely thing...I was going to buy the song soon and see if the itunes song quality was any different from the YT one 🤔

She has a beautiful voice and has written some genuinely great songs - the harmonic and melodic quality of Aurora and Fly High will melt your heart - but she is in desperate need of support from the public. The problem with Crossroads, and other songs on the Labyrinth album, is autotune, which does have a strange effect on the texture of voices, making them sound hard and shiny like polished steel. Although there are a number of examples of it in previous GFriend recordings they're generally quite difficult to spot, but this is very different. I noticed it immediately when I heard the teaser and it completely ruins the song. One of the reasons I love GFriend is their natural vocal tone and expressive singing, but those qualities have been discarded in favour of artificial "perfection." This comeback is not just disappointing - the music has lost its soul and listening to it is painful.
When I read about Source Music being bought by Big Hit I was worried because the two companies' musical values seemed to be completely different. Big Hit had achieved enormous success with a crappy rappy autotuned product. GFriend's first Korean since release then has been rendered intolerable by autotune and I can only think that it must have been forced on them by the company I now call Big Shit, which is a major producer of K-poop.
Someone who agreed with me about the autotune told me not to be so rude, and normally I wouldn't, but when a company ruins my favourite group by destroying their musicality for no reason except that the technology makes it possible I can't accept it without protest. The rudeness is just to emphasise how strongly I feel about this and make people think about why this song sounds as it does. There was no reason to use autotune because it makes singers sound worse and GFriend had already proved that their audience don't demand it. The company probably thought that more precise intonation is better and would increase sales, but what they have done is wanton destruction of art. It's a crime against humanity - obviously not as serious many we can think of, but it does rob us all of the chance to hear the music as it should be. There is no pleasure in listening to singing when the software has destroyed the singer's performance.
Until now I have always kept quiet about hating the music of BTS, but now their company has forced me to speak out. How can they be so successful when their songs sound so awful? Either the audience are so used to autotuned vocals that they don't know what good singing sounds like or they just don't care. It's the same with the dynamic compression applied to recordings, and here Source Music are as guilty as anyone. It makes the music sound soggy and constricted but hardly anyone seems to notice.

I don’t monetize any of our react videos :’) they’re all monetized by the label that owns the music.
So even if I turn monetization off, it’ll automatically turn on once the video is fully uploaded + copyrighted.
(So in answer to your question: I have no idea 😂 the new series that i’d start up would be copyrighted by the music labels who own the music in the vid, so it would gain the same amount of traction as any of my other react vids)

Source Music was acquired by Big Hit Entertainment.... I think that being in the music industry for five years have made them being more comfortable with the music they want to create and not follow typical styles for girl groups, and that is what makes gfriend special, they also even said it like they don't want to be the no. 1 girl group but the group that last longer. Also "from me" is a song that Bang Shin Hyuk (big hit founder) participate in.

Gfriend's performance is the best in the kpop girl group. In particular, the stage of "LABYRINTH" is their transformation, and they are in perfect harmony with their beauty, performance and vocals.
