That's a fantastic idea! Imagine the adventures a clever crab could have after such a daring escape. It could be a story full of humor, heart, and a powerful message about resilience. What if the crab teamed up with other sea creatures to outsmart the machines? Pixar would definitely work its magic with that plot! What kind of twist would you like to see in a movie like this?
How come when the fisherman haul up the cage, like at 1:50 and 1:59 it was small cage with snow crabs. When they opened the cage @1;59, king crabs came out? At the same time, before the cage was opened, all the crews wore bright orange outfit. As soon as the cage was opened, the outfit became blue ? Through out the video, like at 2:38, 2:39, up to 2:52 snow crab. All of a sudden, at 2:53 the snow crabs turned into king crabs. Switching between snow crab and king crab also magical happened in the processing plant ? Like snow crab at 7:22 to 7:26. But turned into king crab at the other part of the plant. The worker's uniform colour changed from blue to white to mix too.
Used to go to a buffet years ago where they had unlimited king crabs to eat. It’s now not found. They said the price has made it prohibitive for the restaurant to make possible to put it on the menu.
Yeah, they could follow several boats and show the drama between the guys who work on the deck and the captains who sit upstairs and watch them. They could even showcase young guys trying to become captains, and the things they have to go through to work their way up to the wheelhouse. It would be awesome!
The fisherman fishing these crabs are risking their lives every-time they go out onto the Bering sea.. They have almost a 100% workplace injury chance.. and many lose their lives while trying to get these crabs onto your plates..
I've bought these FLASH *FROZEN,* and *THAWED.* Obviously the shell is waste. After removing the crab and re-weighing the meat and shells, here's what I found. At $37 per pound *THAWED,* (which I bought today) it works out to around $50 per pound after you subtract the weight of the shell. At $29 per pound FLASH *FROZEN* (which I bought last year) it works out to around $100 per pound. The *_HUGE_* difference is because inside the legs there's a good amount of water filling the voids when they flash freeze them. After they thaw, that water drains out. So if you're buying these frozen, you're paying for meat, the shell and lots of *hidden ICE!* _While it seems like a 'no-brainer' to buy these thawed, you have to ask how long they've been thawed, because the taste does degrade (becoming less sweet) as they sit unfrozen in the case._ It was noticeable enough so the next time I buy king crab, it will be 'partially' frozen. *I hope this helps!*
Seems like working on a king crab boat is a nice easy-going and relaxing experience where you can get away with being lazy! Im gonna give it a try Im sure Ill do fine!!!
Crabs are spiders of the sea and shrimp are cockroach’s of the sea yet we love them so much fishermen were able to over price something that was for lower class
Overpriced, huh? Ever try to buy a boat? Pots? Rope? Floats? Emergency gear? Radios? Sonar? Bait? Fuel? Pay a crew? Fishing is just like farming. Everything involved in the process has gone up, except the price you get for your product. I grew up as a commercial fisherman in Wisconsin. Boats, gear and fuel all got more expensive, the price for fish stayed the same. You have to catch a helluva a lot more fish to make any money at it.
@@angelcedeno5605 Snow =Tanner & Opies the product you're talking about are just lower grade product. There was a lot of Tanner and Opies in the film. No wonder why when it gets to the table it tastes like crap. It’s because you like to freeze everything, eventually relying on butter to enhance the taste of everything from steaks to seafood.

Question? First we see the crabs alive and kicking- knees up Mother Brown etc.- and then we see them beyond moribund unto crab rigormortis. At what point do they give up their crabby ghost and bid it enter the Pearly Gates of Crab Heaven and meet its Maker? This rather crucial point is unclear.

That automated cutting process is straight outta horror games material like quake or prey.
Deadliest Catch is the best show to get the full experience
We need a pixar movie. A crab escaped and watches the machine cutting process.
would be a good movie idea for the guys that made sausage party
I thought about this as well
Definitely sounds Pixar
The crab escaped from the plate into the kitchen, friend.

Because everything is fake and staged for content. I bet the people who made this video have never even touched a live crab.
it's a documentary
That's called "video editing". They spliced together footage recorded on multiple different ships and facilities. Amazing right?

Lobsters were the ones called the cockroach of the sea until the fishing industry found a way to market them better.
