I have 2 of these right now deployed. They're on solar at the moment connected to a HB3. But i plan to connect one lf them to continuous power once i get the powee source ran. Thanks for the update.
Cool. I'm planning to hardwire the one in my front garage area too. Routing the wiring which for me getting up in the attic will be the challenging part.
Hi LifeHackster, Thank you as usual for the excellent update. One thing I'm experiencing that you didn't mention is that the 24/7 recording isn't available for about 3 or 4 minutes. In other words if you scroll on the time line backwards you see the recorded footage as expected. But if you are within about 3 minutes I get a message that says the footage is not viewable yet because it is buys encoding. Are you running into this problem? It is pretty aggravating from the stand point of needing to view something that just happened in the last few minutes but it didn't generate a motion alert.
@@LifeHackster I also use the nest cams with the Nest Aware Plus and they don't seem to suffer any delay at all with the 24/7 recording. It is one of the things I really like about the Nest software. But they have fallen WAY behind on the cameras and image quality. So everything is a give and take when it comes to all the security cams out there. Thanks again for all you do.
Hi Lifehackster, I'm wondering if you can help with this question. My S3 Pro camera has the some firmware as yours and my home base is one level higher than yours. But when I go to the timeline like you did and put my finger on it and move slowly left and right I do not get the fast-scroll video like you. For me nothing happens until i release my finger and then I get "Establishing Secure connection" for about a 1/2 seconds This happens every time. Any thoughts on why the behavior is different than what you are seeing? I'm on an iPhone 13 Pro running the latest IOS.
Did you enable snapshot by any chance? Turn it on and set it to every 3 mins. This might be the one that eufy uses to do the timelapse effect. I'm not sure on this though.

ALSO, I just saw in the COMMUNITY section of the app that EUFY is releasing an all new version of the APP in January. I'm 2 months into the S3 Pros and Homebase 3 and I'm getting all sorts of flaky behavior that changes from day to day. I may just stop until the new app is released. I'm hoping they have addressed a lot of issues I'm seeing and reporting.
Hey lifehackster I'm having an issue with my S3 pros. When recording 24/7 in infrared mode I've noticed during the playback that the infrared will constantly turn on and off. Have you experienced this issue?
I haven't really put it in IR mode. I set it in Daylike mode. The switching might be caused of something in the area of the camera that lights up and triggers to turn off IR mode...if not, it might be a bug that hopefully they can update and fix.
I am not sure i understand. 24/7 to me means i can look at continuous recording. But it still sounds like it is event based. Isn’t that what most wireless smart cams do now?
Event based and 24/7. If it is in battery mode like any battery camera, it will only record when there is big enough motion to trigger it... let's say a person at 50 feet will not get detected but you can scrub the timeline to see when that person was seen by the camera.
Falling out of love with Eufy. Last version of the s340 all 3 became brick’s within a month of each other. Appears to be a fault with the solar panel/battery. My 3 year old eufy battery cams still going strong. Their customer service is really poor, and the software has been buggy.
Attention attention there is a major glitch in this every few seconds it record somebody and then they just disappear in the thin air. I’m switching right back to the normal battery mode. It’s like it’s still in beta or something.
I haven’t noticed it in my setup. Events have the 4 second pre-recording and will record the whole event and 10 seconds after the motion is out of the cameras view.
They should make all their solar cams have 24/7 recording

So the new timeline allows you to quickly scrub the footage? Seems the older 24/7 continuous recording timeline doesn't have this feature.
Yes. Hopefully, they will update their other 24/7 recording cameras too.
I really wish they would give the ability to snooze all cameras with one alert just like ring does. If they did that they would be unstoppable
I totally agree on this and also per camera snooze on the notifications too.
I hope they update the E330 timeline search to the same as this, currently it will buffer 1-2 secs when you search the time line

There is no definite way to check on this but the last several days that I have 1 camera in 24/7 recording, I still have 93% left out of 1 TB HDD...

That is usually the case when recording 24/7 even with NVRs. The more important motion events that triggered the camera are saved within a minute.

Hey LifeHackster. Have you had any issues with the C210 indoor cam’s person detection when not connected to home base? Mine keeps false detecting.
I don't have the C210 and I haven't experienced this with the indoor cams that I have.

Bring it to S340 if it is also wired in.
Does eufy cam 3 has that feature too?

Yes, it seems like it uses camera based detection when plugged in.
Can this camera plugged in by light bulb USB socket. Like the set-up as wyze camera?
As long as the USB socket is able to output 2 amps... which the Wyze socket not able to..it is only 1 amps.
Wish they had a temperature Guage on them. Would be nice to know what the outside temp is.

I had the Ring Floodlight Cam years ago (black) and had no issues with the heat.
