22:13 Wow. Blast from the past. I remember jumping off that waterfall when I was a kid. It seemed so high then, now not so much. Fantastic days out on our bikes riding from Montie to Jezzie Dean.

I have a few family ties to Jesmond Dene, my Grandfather was born in North Lodge in the 1890's he also worked at the council greenhouse nursery for a couple of years until retirement. My late uncle also worked there and myself in the 1980's. Within the Dene, Armstrong park, along with Heaton park. There was a spring water cistern in Armstrong park on the bottom path named King John's well. Not sure if it run's today but it's water was crystal clear back then.
The wife and I visited last year it has changed a bit over the past years.
I have been in the banqueting hall, and it was quite an experience. Even if it had suffered fire damage at the time.
Thanks for bringing back some memories.

The abandoned building I recall in the mid 80s as a community center. Saw The Bruvas theater group there, films, kids events etc.

Misspent youth in jezzie dene. I'm in my seventies now and it's not changed, thankfully. We used to access from Mathew bank, happy days.

Just watched your two part walk video. In your second video along the Ouseburn road you showed the tower block overlooking Heaton and Armstrong parks. That's the 27 storey Vale House. I live on the 18th floor. Amazing views. Love walking through the Dene in summer and winter. Great videos. Thanks.

Also, you walked down past the entrance to Heaton Park not Armstrong Park :) The sign post had it. Opposite there is the Bluebell pub if you want to do a boozier version of this walk. Great vid again :)
