We were always told how great India was by our grandparents, I never realized how much until watching this channel

The colonial powers were authorized by Papal bull 1452,1453, 1492,1493 to CONQUER, CONVERT and ENSLAVE the world.
In order to enslave, people from one part of the world were ruthlessly uprooted and carted to some other land. This ensured perpetual slavery.
Moreover, the masses were converted by aggression, bloodshed, massacre, terror, torture, violence, intimidation and deceit.
The fear of God ensured obedience.
The colonial powers, supported by the church, exploited, colonized, looted and controlled the world.

@@artificiusintelligence4996 Population density wasn’t as a huge an issue then especially in South India. Also, Britain may have had benefits but it doesn’t take away from the bad things they did. India didn’t need colonisation to develop just like China. Brits even worsened caste system and religious tension a lot in the Indian subcontinent which still hugely impact the subcontinent to this day which has a knock on effect on the development of the countries.

Two observations as an Indian who's extensively traveled all over india.
    1) The monuments, temples captured from 1860 were at that time itself very ancient monuments. Some dating back to 500 to 2000 years old.
    2) As the British power centers were in Delhi and Calcutta at the time, the photographs capture mostly the architecture of that region. So we see a lot of mughal monuments in the picture. Apart from these, there are tons of very ancient hindu temples in other parts of India existing to date.

Hey Guys c'mon not everything is a joke. Yes indeed, there are many beautiful buildings across the world; you have caught the bull by the horn here. So we had the best architects build many amazing structures across the world. In the indian sub-continent there is a second layer on top of structures, these are where the Artisans give way to Artists.. every building commissioned was to be built to convey one or more or even whole concepts that should remain with the later generations. So when you see the ornamentation it's the written history & the same depicted in the most iconic and significant structures.. before 1200 AD, writing down and ensuring it's longevity was a major concern, so the ornamentation is basically a level of documentation as well as a showcase of the work of Artists. Artists in Hindi is "Kalakar" ; "Kal" = Tomorrow "Akar" = Shaping and creating a framework.
Result: Those who shape the future of the society and imbibe framework and concepts into the next generation.. Constantly evolving and perpetual; that is the significance of Ornamentation. Many thanks for your keen observation.

The exact beginning of idol worship as known in current Hinduism is unknown. It could actually be quite recent (Recent like around 500 BC. ). During the period of the Indus Valley civilization, there many statues and idol like objects found.
Historians have shown that at the time of the oldest Hindu sacred text, the Rig Veda (dated to the second millennium B.C.), cow meat was consumed by Indians. Over time, particularly from the fourth century B.C., vegetarianism began to spread among India's Buddhists, Jains and some Hindus.
Archaeological evidence from the islands of the Aegean Sea have yielded Neolithic era Cycladic figures from 4th and 3rd millennium BC, idols in namaste posture from Indus Valley civilization sites from the 3rd millennium BC, and much older petroglyphs around the world show humans began producing sophisticated images.

I think we should actually, but also most structures here are still there and some actually restored.. Lovely photos and Kudos to the gentleman who took them.. it's very well exposed and most don't recall; in 1860s taking a photo was not like touching something.. it had to be done with a lot of manual labor and hard work.
Coming back.. if you get to see one with your own eyes; you will see why it's more beautiful in person and then exactly why these photos are so well shot. On-Point.

Jainism is a religion founded in ancient India. Jains trace their history through twenty-four tirthankara and revere Rishabhanatha as the first tirthankara (in the present time-cycle).
The last two tirthankara, the 23rd tirthankara Parshvanatha (c. 9th-8th century BCE) and the 24th tirthankara Mahavira.
Jainism is one of the world's oldest religions, originating in India at least 2,500 years ago.
The spiritual goal of Jainism is to become liberated from the endless cycle of rebirth and to achieve an all-knowing state called moksha.
They Worship The Jinas [Jinn In Arabic]
The Jinn Are Created From Energy, Whom Can Travel At Any Speed, Take Any Form, Whom Have The Free Will.
Angels Do Not Have The Free Will, Whom Are Created From Light.
They Too Can Travel At Any Speed & Take Any Form.
Lucifer Was A Jinn, Whom Earned His Way Up To Work Amongst The Angels.
When God Created Adam, He Taught Him Vast Knowledge.
He Presented Him To The Angels,
God Said Since I Have Created Adam, Greater In Knowledge,
I Command You To Prostrate To Him.
All The Angels Obeyed [No Free Will], Except Lucifer Being Of The Jinn [With Free Will], Refused To Bow Down.
He Said He Was Greater Than Adam,
      Being Created From Energy,
Whilst Adam Was Created From Earthly Mud.
Then He Was Banished As Satan [The Accursed One], Given Power To Deceive The Whole Of Creation.
Attaining Respite, Till The Day Of Judgement.
The Good Jinn Believe In God, Worship & Praise Him.
The Evil Jinn Become Demons, Assisting Satan, In His Evil Master Plan.

@7:22 just a glance should be more than enough evidence to dispel all questions about advanced stages of civilization before 1800s. For the skill using chisel tools, this would be a marvel, given significant time to construct these statues. But since a different method was used, it is evidence the technique used for consistent statues like this was highly advanced - for masonry alone would be impressive! From an indian youtuber who has access to these historic locations, he has found that they ARE NOT all stone, some are metal type materials and so on. Furthermore, the depictions (heiroglyphics you may call it) he seems to have discovered are actually ANIMATIONS of movements of figures, animals and more if you lay out the entire panels over each other you will see MOTION. Marvels, alone, but combined with anomalous advanced references to genetics, energy tools and weapons, it is a real epiphany if you can accept it.

I have been to India around 10 times and the south at least was much better than the north. Rivers in Delhi and other places had no water but just trash piled up as far as you could see. I also was in Himachal Pradesh and it was a nice countryside but as soon as you enter a small town the mess starts again. Friendly people, if it were true it doesn't really help because of the mess around you. Driving to Agra from Delhi was the first most horrific and sad experience as I have never seen slums of this size in my life before. So I wonder if we visited the same country.

these were taken in the very early hours. Just like if you visit the Taj Mahal...you go very early in the morning when they just open. There are hardly any people especially during the winter months when it is cold. Most Indians stay up late, have their dinner at 9 to 10pm. So they don't rise up too early. If they do, it is still very cold outside. They don't have heat in their homes like the West, so their houses are very cold in the early morning hours..Who wants to get out of a warm bed?
If you stay in a 4star hotel you should have central heat and air, so you can afford to wake up early to visit the Taj. It is better to pay more and stay in one, so that you can visit the Taj before the crowds.

      Sat Sri Akaal,
      1. The British Colonists Created The Caste System, For Their Divide & Rule Policies.
      2. They Also Created Sikhism To Divide & Rule Hinduism & Islam.
      3. The Greek philosopher Pythagoras is considered the father of ethical vegetarianism. The Pythagorean way of life was followed by a number of important personalities and influenced vegetarian nutrition until the 19th century.

Yeah the British might have came to rule and ruled for couple centuries but before that India has been invaded multiple times from the west.. from the Persians and Afghans .. one guy invaded 12 times to loot Delhi of all it's treasures .. Alexander even was tempted to loot all of India ,if it wasn't for the Nanda Empire at that time and King porus he might have succeeded. Here's the fact, might sound WILD but half of the ancient world, Ancient Imperial China and India ruled the world and both are the wealthiest nation's rich in gold and opulence as well as art, literature and culture. It is not Assyria or Mesopotamia or Egypt or Greek ,No disrespect but history is written by western colonialists so.... There it went.. oh and democracy wasn't a Greek invention either , before Athens figured it out ,my ancestors ( a small group of people in North eastern India) were living the perfect democratic republic life.. the difference between Athens Greek democracy and mine is,we do not own slaves,we do not divide ourselves between men and women,we did not kill off the old and infirm and the idiots. The society took care of everything, men go to war, women were left to take care of everything, education, business, agriculture, women inherited lands alongside their brothers, they have the first choice to pick , welcomed to speak at the senate and represent her household and speak for it. Ancient India might be the greatest of all .

According to local Hindus, that was a Hindu temple. Most 400 year old mosques in India and Pakistan and even ancient churches in India were built after demolishing the existing temples. Shahjahan the mughal king who sanctioned the Taj Mahal had 13 wives. So the love story is BS. There was a temple there. Some basic arcehology proves that but the muslims wont allow more exploration there.
Because most of the architecture inside any ancient Indian mosque is Hindu architecture which is forbidden in Islam.

Ya you're right that kings could marry more than one but in this culture it has always been marrying to one partner at a time is considered the best that's why we look up to Ram and Sita not Ram's father on marriage. That's why even today Hindus happily accept one partner marriage. On backwardness can you tell me what that is in both because the many beliefs in both are contradiction to each other. As my great gradma used to say, people just didn't care if they were ruled by the British. It was only in the political hubs in the big cities where the egos collided. Normal life, according to her, was much better under British rule. Everything worked like a well-oiled machine. The government departments weren't a nightmare. Everything happened on time. If a bus driver was late even by 5 mins, he had to give a written notice stating the reason for the delay, which was then investigated. British Raj had its problems, but again, according to her, who lived under the British and even after independence, the British rule was much better. Nowadays the history colonialism is used by academics and politicians as a scapegoat excuse for the lack of progress in the past 80 ish years. After all, China and Japan too started from nothing alongside India at the same time, and well, look where they are whilst people in india are reverting to religious fanaticism under the current despot.

The old world building seem out of place compared to how the people lived. They don't seem to make sense, there is no way they did this without some help of some kind. These building are perfect, no mistakes I doubt they could do them even today. So how were they done and who did them???? So many questions but they will only tell us what they want us to know.

The people in the photos didn’t build these structures. They are just the “founders”. Built by a previous civilization that was gone by the time of these photos. And to this day we have not rediscovered the knowledge or technology necessary to duplicate their achievements.

@@jonathanm5661 I think by now we know we didn't build these or you should. Every reset we just accept these old world building and the story they tell us. The previous civilization were much more skilled but with what? Some of that work looks like lasers did it.

These buildings could be built today, there are people with the necessary skills. The Swaminarayan temple in Bhuj (Gujarat) was so badly damaged in the earthquake of 2001 that it had to be demolished, and a new one has since been built in the same style as many of the old buildings with elaborate stone carvings.

@@jonathanm5661 Lol. How far will you white people go to discredit and invalidate India's history??
They are built by ancient indians, with their own knowledge, skills and technology.
In case you didn't know, India has been brutally invaded, destroyed, killed in billions, all of their discoveries, inventions, knowledge burnt and destroyed, add identity and ethnic and religion based genocide (if the term exists), that had gone continuously for around thousand years by barbaric invaders, tell me how in the world can anyone survive and protect their knowledge or themselves for that long period of time? But still indians survived and protected as much they could. Atleast Research before blabbering imaginary theories.

In 1942 when the socialists (Gandhi, Nehru, Jinnah) were yelling QUIT INDIA, my grandfather as a young IAS officer in the Raj travelled from Madras to Quetta.
He travelled 2,000 miles in trains through the Madras Presidency and various Kingdoms and by ship between Bombay and Karachi and then again by rail through the Bombay Presidency and Kingdom of Patiala.
He never met or saw 1 Britisher during the journey which had him wondering who was to quit India. And that is what he did.

When analyzing these photos , I can’t help but notice that the ancient Hindu temples were far more intricate in their design, architecture, built and ornamentation. When I compare to the English and Mughal built objects, It’s not even a comparison. Also the Hindu temples are much older in date . Fascinating . Thank you for posting .

Glory days of lost Bharat..... the temples where meant to last and vibrate a certain energy frequency for centuries... thanks to Islamic invaders most of them are in ruins or converted to grand masjid.... the population became stripped of all their identity, culture, spiritual knowledge leaving them fighting over petty mundane things just to survive, making it easy for later British to take over. Wishing Bharat full glory ✨

The question has to be asked where is all the people? I have seen similar pictures of Moscow around the same time period.. where is hardly no one on the streets Amy and then 15 years later or so the town is bustling. Some of the shots were in Calcutta where is today the crowds are phenomenal. Baffling as the structures are as to who built them the question of where is all the people? And a couple of decades later where do they all come from?
