+wayne philip Wayne I love that Brummy accent. Been trying to copy Ozzy my whole life. I'm from Indianapolis, Indiana and I have always loved the way Ozzy speaks.
"We'd be ona ona le bu we'd ne-a-ge-in an-a-a I got so pissed off fubeena owbeenana beeguba n an-first time you go, you get all excited" - Ozzy Osbourne, 2006
This was about what I heard. I love his accent, but I could only understand about half of what he was saying, but there would be little phrases that stuck out like ".......first time....fuck off....."
Well, we'd be on the limp and we'd never get in, an.. a.. and I'd get so pissed off a bit y'know. I'd be in a a *dithers around* First time you got, you get all excited. Second time... etc One just needs to listen to understand about 90% of Ozzy ^_^.
Ozzy is the most honest, real, open star there is. Great interview, glad to see him sober, and for all of you bashing his speech, I understood every word. The man's lucky to be alive, and I'm glad to see him in this light. Great!
@@peternagy-im4be more so than he was before. Of course his accent is a bit tough to understand due to his Parkinson's and slurring drawl, but is also the drugs that cause him to make it more difficult to understand.
It's gotten worse over time showing that he probably has gained minor brain damage from drugs or something else. in the 70s he kinda stuttered but it was clearly just from an accent this is an uncontrollable stutter
Been listening to his music and stuff for over twenty years, I've gotten a pretty good grasp on the Brummie thing. I get where people might not get it at first, but it doesn't take long to understand. The joke has gotten rather stale.
Why does the end of this interview always make me cry!!! We're going to miss Ozzy so damn bad when he leaves the building. Oz is the man- so genuine and full of gratitude.
For those who are wondering his accent is originally from Birmingham, England. A 'Brummie' accent. But its been heavily influenced by his drink and drug habbit over years. You won't go to Birmingham and find everyone stuttering/slurring (unless you're down a pub). Love Ozzy, love Sabbath and Rollins is growing on me.
Alan Yes. His accent is normal - its his delivery which is sometimes off. When he stutters you have to work a little harder to understand but when he's flowing its fine. He has a working class midlands accent. If you're not from the UK you'd be amazed by the variety of accents in the country - especially given the size. As a result from numerous people who have settled over the ages and the language has developed from that. In a way the 'modern' countries who speak English slightly differently are a continuation of how the English language has developed and continues to develop.
+Elliott Brady I'm a Brummie also, I can understand him but with Ozzy it is not his accent asl winchuni22 has stated, he hurries with his sentences and often does not finish his words.
See this is how an interview should be like. Decent, good questions, letting the interviewee talk his part and keeping it genuinely sincere. Henry nailed his part so Ozzy just had to be himself as he always did.
Henry's interviews are just awesome, I've never seen such a personal side from Ozzy in anyother interview. Rollins just gets on the same level, and treats him like a human being. Great stuff
The Bottom line is that Ozzy Osbourne speaks from his heart in a genuine way. Considering the fact that his entertainment career reached the upper stratosphere after Sabbath after his solo work. The average person not knowing anything about him saw him on television as this zany caricature of himself. The fact is that he will always be that wild and crazy guy from the streets of Birmingham England who is totally original and truly loves his fans.
Great interview. Rollins is perfect for this interview. Still a kid inside loving rocknroll and in a little bit in respective awe, and also smart enough to relate and ask the questions fans wanna hear. Cheers to all the great music both have brought to this world
This is one of those videos... if I’m having a bad day, I watch this video and feed off how happy Henry Rollins is to be doing this interview, and how genuine and real both of the dudes are. Pure energy. Thanks for the fuel...
Iv always wanted to meet him he seems so cool so down to earth if I had a chance just to say hi ozzy and that’s all that will be a huge high life in my life

One of the first videos i ever watched on TH-cam i was 27 at the time. Glad it's still up. I am 41 these days... god... Where does time go really. Sabbath was really his passion and always will be. You can here it at the end.
I love Rollin's interviews with other rock musicians. He sits down with musicians millions of people know and it always seems like such a human conversation. It's always like two friends just talking about whatever. It's great. Also, call me weird, but I've always understood what Ozzy says perfectly fine. He's a great, legendary musician. "We were four local guys, I went to the same school as Tony, we conquered the fucking world". - Ozzy This quote is the dream Ozzy lives. What keeps him going. We won't have another man like him. Rock on Ozzy. Huge respect for you.
I love how they tallk like they are best friends. Usually in interviews, the famous person doesn't care or want to be there its a quick conversation. But they both are having fun
They actually are friends. Henry called Sharon and asked if he could fly to England and hang out at Sabbath band practice when they were rehearsing for a tour, Sharon asked the band and they said no worries. Henry telling the story is amazing, he literally couldn’t believe he was there.
Ozzy said he's the luckiest man alive having not died from drugs etc. He said in this interview 2006 that the way he will die is he will trip and break his neck. Fast forward to 2019 he got up to go for a piss lost his footing in the bathroom fell and broke his neck and survived 😂 he is the luckiest man alive.

I like Ozzys comment about being convinced that when he dies its becauses hes done something stupid like tripping over and breaking his neck. I've always said when I die I want it to be funny. Like falling off a cliff and landing on a "warning! heights!" sign.
when he first starts talking at 0:51 , I would like to point out the iron will that Rollins must posses to not have literally shit his pants from laughter. caught me off guard and I have to say, one of the funniest things i've seen in a while.
