In Rochelle Illinois 11-16-2023 at about 10:10 a.m., Hirsbach tractor #240003 drivers just pulled out in front of me(failing to yeild right of way) from the westbound I-88 off ramp at Rt-251.
Safety officer: "hey Bob, I got a video where you made another trucker slow down a little bit because you were in a hurry" Bob: "oh yeah, my bad.. but at least you saw it was nothing dangerous or something. he really took the time to edit this and send it in??" Safety officer: "yeah... lol.. I dont know man.. so.. how are the kids?"
The man who posted the video is correct, the other driver is in a hurry and driving like this is normal for them. It was stupid and I hope they were reprimanded.
I am 71, retired after 46 years and 3 million accident-free miles as an owner/operator hauling hogs, cattle, grain, etc. in the Midwest. I have had this exact same thing happen although much closer to where I had to hit the brakes and swerve into a shallow ditch. I wasn't mad at the guy who did it, I was proud of the great job of driving that I did to avoid contact.
Sorry, as a retired driver with 40 years experience, you only had to de-throttle when you first saw him, no big deal...mountain, molehill springs to mind.
As a retired driver with 40 years experience, you should have heard me let up off of the throttle. Now, quit making excuses for douche bag semi drivers.
@gsxrinfrance5827 you were the one being agressive and accusatory to me, while defending the Hirschbach driver. So yes, I'm gonna be aggressive right back at you ya steering wheel holder. Hell, you didn't even hear me lifting off the throttle when it is very clear that I did ya jackass. Don't like me? Then stay the fuck away from me, boy.
@@mav1269I’m retired with 45 years of driving so you had to slow down a bit,you said you had to take your foot off the throttle so I guess you didn’t have to brake , quit be a cry baby just to get likes
That was bollocks, the lorry pulling out didn’t force the driver to brake or swerve, perhaps he should have taken his foot off the gas for a second or two? It would have been courteous and courtesy is the epitome of good driving.
A driver calling out a company name with a truck number and saving it is not a petty or impatient and it's not an indictment of his driving habits! It's a man that's reached his limit, he's had it up to his fucking eyeballs and he's using it to vent his anger. How many times in a 14 hour period does an 18 wheeler get forced into being courteous? Too many. From one of his own over and over, you get tired.
Bobby boy, are you REALLY such a window licker that you can't figure out that I'm not on an interstate or other restricted access highway? But hey, keep on proving that you have no common sense with dumbassed comments like that one.
Get out of left except when near your exit I know you are a big time big truck driver courtesy does apply to you Slow down you came upon him pretty fast speed limit is 40 mph
This is a city roadway Ralph, not an Interstate. The speed limit here is 45 m.p.h., AND I was doing less than 40 m.p.h. since I had already slowed down for the flatbed. Any other erroneous advice you want to give me? Full disclosure, I'm on this route about 50% of the year. Now, quit making excuses for shitty semi drivers.
🤣🤣🤣 no respect either , obviously . Your attitude exemplifies your critique . Probably retired by the time you got a wheel in your hands . Disrespect , earns No respect . Good luck .
Dude, snitching is when both the informant and the violator have common cause against the authority - criminals can snitch to the police on criminals, but citizens can't snitch on criminals, they can only complain. In this case, the cam trucker and the offender have no common cause - they aren't supposed to be operating against the interests of their employers, and doing dumb stuff as shown here is definitely against both employers interests. If you want to drive like a douche bag, buy your own rig.
@@MrSunrise- you're obviously an outlaw. Like in the actual true meaning of the word. Either that or you're really close to one. Or maybe I'm wrong about common sense being uncommon and the general public isn't all that dumb. Regardless, I couldn't have said it better myself Stay real and stay free 🙏
IF your gonna call out every idiot driving truck YOUR GONNA BE BUSY
So far, just the ones who I've sent the videos to their Safety Officers.

And what did your insurance company say about it?
Insurance company? I had no claims while driving.
I drove out of the shallow ditch with no damage. Never even came to a stop.@@mav1269

Hi! Your video is amazing, and we would like to use it in our new episode. Can we have your permission? We'll give you full credit.
Yes, you may use it. Thank you.
Truck driver calling out a fellow truck driver, what goes round comes round
In other words, you have not a damned thing to say.

Bullshit, the driver pulling out SHOULD have stayed at HIS stop sign!

Actually, this video was sent to Hirschbach's Safety Officers. They were not happy with their driver's behavior.
