To anyone wandering what the Prisoner is saying: when relaxed: "I´m just a Soldier, nothing else" "One Day... Home...Spring" "I don´t know anything... nothing" "In Hell, down here in Hell" "A Devil... a Devil for the French Devils" when alerted by the player "Hello, is someone there?" "Leave me alone!" "I can hear it" "Please, Please" "Safe in my Cage..." When the beast is there: "NO NO! PLEASE" "Lord in Heaven!" "Close it, keep it closed!" "I´ts coming!" "Shut the Door!" When the Door is opened: "NO, NOOO!!!" "A DEVIL! YOU ARE A DEVIL!!!" "PLEASE, HELP ME!"
Prison was my favorite. Just a fascinating dynamic with the German prisoner. I was wondering if you could tell the prisoner to shut up. His talking and pleading makes noise. But, maybe the beast had gotten accustomed to it and was taking it into calculation, so to speak? I mean it must have tried before to get in, but couldn't. So, it wouldn't react on the screaming since the poor bastard does that 25 hours a day. I find that stuff fascinating, and is a piece of fridge logic.
he doesnt scream nonstop, he only makes alot of noise when he hears the footsteps of either the player or the beast. so if you were the beast, and you heard the poor prisoner screaming when you weren't there, you would immediately be alerted and go there. just a little addition, i dont speak german but i think the prisoner can distinguish between human and beast footsteps, he can be heard saying 'bitte, bitte' when he hears the player which just means please in german. im interested to read a full translation of his dialogue. i wish you could bind his mouth with a cloth and carry him to the saferoom..... :( and i was shocked to see that only 3% of the players successfully prevented him from being eaten.
@@artemyburakh12 you have to be fast and also be willing to put up a bit of a fight at that moment, that's atleast how i did it. there might be other ways.
@@tremendousrexx Fair enough, not screaming all the time, but he's still talking a lot. I still think/hope that the Beast has somewhat just gotten used to his noises and maybe not yet figured out the path to him. He does have a hole to access his cell from, which is also why you can't trap the beast in the cell permanently. (I loved doing that to Terry Akers in Soma, lol). So, that's a hole in my theory. Still, I think it's interesting to think about how the beast would possibly have gotten used to human sounds if it knew it couldn't get to him since it tried before.
