    I feel bad for single dads not having a changing table in the men's public restroom. Dads are just as important as moms.

      its sad that society thinks that moms should do the "taking care of the house and kids" part and the dads should do the "jobs that need you to get physical and/or involves tools", its even worse when some people reach a point and expect moms to be a stay at home housewife while dads are expected to work so hard to provide for their family to a point where they barely have time to interact with their kids.

      If you have ever had the misfortune of cleaning a public restroom those thing always end up damaged or abused by women either sitting on them and ripping them off the wall or leaving shit covered diapers inside them. If those things are installed in men's room they never get like that.

    I find it strange that a woman can accuse a man of doing something horrible without any prove than the man needs to prove it's not true. But if that man accuse the same woman of harassment and threatening with unaliving with prove the police looks him straight in the face and say: "we see no case". Loyer did not agree with the police. Yes this happened to someone I know in may 2023.

    For the first story, if a salesman adds on charges you didn't agree too, don't call to take them off. Instead, get a lawyer and file a lawsuit. They'll have to pay a small settlement that'll cover the lawyer fees plus some nice little pocket change. If you call to remove it, all that happens is they stop charging you for the thing they never should have added.

    Story 13: I had a math teacher in middle school who would let students hug him if they were having a bad day. He was a pretty cool dude who cared about his students. He could be strict but he genuinely cared about helping us learn the material. His name was Mr. Van and he was probably one of the better math teachers I've ever had.

      Mrs. Stone was mine. That woman taught me more about math in that one class my 8th grade year, than I ever got anywhere else. She was strict asf, always about business (regarding teaching during her class time) but one thing that can’t be ignored is why she was the way she was. The woman genuinely gave a shit about sending us to high school with the knowledge we needed.

    When a story attempts to make a character be unlikable yet tries to make you sympathies with another character that did worse, especially when the unlikable character has a more compelling backstory and/or reason for a chance at a redemption. To me, literally any double standard involving gender I despise with a passion. It would be unfair to say “I hate the one that affects my gender, specifically/doubly”, but it is more prominent while somehow being more obscure, if not outright ignored, and I have to fear it happening to me.

    • @Benjamin1986980
      @Benjamin1986980 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Well, you feel the ones that affect you personally far more than the ones that affect others, and you see them. Many, if not most forms of us are completely unofficial and more less invisible unless you're directly involved.
      The double standard that irk me most are the ones that are official. For example, you can specify that you are not going to hire anyone who is a straight white male. However, if you replace any of those three words, it's suddenly illegal. This is despite the plaintext of the civil rights act. However, laws that aren't enforced effectively do not exist and so blatant, well-documented discrimination goes unchallenged

    Ooohh!!! That respect one and "men don't cry" REALLY drove me up the wall, because they both hit too close to home! I have a great aunt who has been treating my like dogshit since I was freaking five! Every time she screams her head of at me for doing what she thinks is wrong (which is literally everything I do), I used to cry a lot. Then she snaps at me, saying and I quote "You a boy! Boys don't cry! Girls cry!" Keep in mind, I was a kid... when I grew resentful towards her as I got older, she had the gall to lecture me about respect. I'm 22 now, and I talked to my mom, who was also treated badly on a daily basis by my great aunt, about this too. She asked if I'm alright, after my great aunt recently mistreated me, as usual. I told her how much I can't stand that atrocious excuse of a woman, and she said "I understand how you feel, but you have to remember that she is your aunt. You have to respect her, even a little."
    As if she ever deserves any...😒 It doesn't matter whether she's family or the fricking president of the United States. Why in God's green earth should I show even a little respect to someone who has never respected ME as a person, since freaking childhood?! No hate towards my mom at all, but make it make sense!

    • @Juzokinnie
      @Juzokinnie ปีที่แล้ว +7

      That is so horrible. Personally, my great aunt was the sweetest and loveliest old lady ever. I think there's a standard in general that you must respect your elders even if they treat you like garbage. I've been told I need to respect my grandparents when I tell people that I hate them. I've gotten the "But they're your family so you have to love and respect them." It makes me livid because my grandfather has groped me, screamed at me for not meeting his standards, threatened to destroy my stuff, gaslit me, screamed at me about how I'm lying to "make him look bad" when I try to hold him accountable for his actions/abuse. People constantly tell me he's a good man and it takes all of my willpower to not expose the years of manipulation and abuse he put me through. In other words, I completely understand your pain and anger, and you have the right to be angry. That lady does not deserve your respect. I think people need to break the standard of "older people deserve respect automatically." There is a certain amount of authority older people have, which pertains to ensuring needs and priorities are taken care of. But an adult does not deserve to be the highest being that can not be defied if they don't earn that respect. An abusive adult doesn't deserve an ounce of respect.

    21:15 That kind of thing happened all the time when I used to fence in high school, along with spelunking and other rough and tumble activities. My friends took me aside before a concert and asked me about my bruises all over my ivory arms in my short-sleeved black dress. I was positioned in the front row, as was my instrument, so everyone saw and made comments. I chuckled and regaled about my sparring matches and asked why the other fencers weren’t getting interrogated. The response was: you’re a girl, and a tiny one at that. We were scared for you. You shouldn’t do anything that would put you in danger.

    When men have reproductive health issues, they’re treated right away … but women who have PCOS/endometriosis pain are told to “suck it up”, as our gender is “built to handle childbirth”, so you’re not entitled to pain relief or treatment unless you’re legit dying (& even then, you get a laughable amount of “pain relief”, only to get scolded/accused of hypochondria when you ask for something stronger). While bias based off of gender in this way is very damaging and things like dirty looks from strangers at the park and being fired from jobs where you have to work with children is super messed up, one point made about this topic in this video strikes me the wrong way. The point about ‘seeing a woman out at night and she starts grabbing her pepper spray and speed walking away’ is a very self important(?) view of the situation. She’s not judging you personally and you have no idea what she’s been through or how recently. She has taken no action that causes you harm or could possibly cause you harm, she’s simply taken action to protect herself

    • @Juzokinnie
      @Juzokinnie ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Playing videogames is not an addiction as long as it's in moderation. Moderation is key. If you do anything too much, it's an addiction. If someone were to hypothetically be so interested in basketball that they skipped sleep, meals, and spent as much time as possible playing on a regular basis, that would be an addiction. Of course I doubt that would happen because exhaustion is a thing and sports helps people become tired, but if that were to happen it would be an addiction. To claim that so much as being interested in video games is a blatant lie. Video games are a fairly common addicition, it's easy and it takes much longer to become exhausted. But just because someone plays a video game doesn't mean you should assume they have an addiction because even as common as it is, majority of people still realize that important things and taking care of their needs take priority over their hobby. If someone is not taking care of things that take priority on a regular basis as a result of it, like their needs (food, sleep, work, bathroom, hygiene, chores, etc.) then yes, it's an addiction.

Luckily, this only applies to his favorite teachers. Another double standard moment are these two girls who sat next to each other for 6 months in a row despite having a seating plan. Even if they’re being so immature, the teacher usually does nothing but I remember a few times that they’re told to be mature. All those poor guys in jobs like teaching or in day care center. In college about 15 years ago, I remember one guy friend of mine wanted to work in day care because he had a natural talent with kids! He was the oldest of all his many cousins and was their babysitter for all his teenager, he loved it, and even took babysitting jobs in his neighbourhood. Where I live you need college education to work in daycare center (those are not the same as someone making a daycare in their house, tho they still need to be approved) because it's more of a teaching environnement like school but with games and activities to suit toddlers, from babies until they enter primary school at 5 of 6. When he had his first internship they said to him that he needed to be with a woman at all time, could never be alone with a group of kids for more than 5 minutes and he was forbidden to enter the nursery so if a colleague needed help changing diapers for like 10 babies, he couldn't help whatsoever. I know rules were different from one daycare center to another, but still. That experience crushed him seriously and proceeded to abandon his degree. That's just really sad. Like it's not because a guy want to work with kids, have a great paternal instinct and loves kid in general that he's a creep!

    Me: "...but everything is 'chemicals'..."
    Morons: "No, natural medicine is from the earth, so it doesn't have chemicals."
    Me: 🤦
    There's just no reasoning with these people honestly. These are the same people who will say cannabis is good for you because it's "natural" and "from the earth". The whole "it's an all natural plant and therefore must be good" thing is such a laughable fallacy and so damn irritating. Like don't get me wrong, I'm absolutely 100% in favor of decriminalization/legalization of cannabis, if not all drugs for that matter and I am totally against the alleged "war on drugs" and the archaic outdated legislation dictating our drug scheduling system. However that aside, I just wish people would stop trying to convince themselves and everyone else of such a illogical and ridiculous argument. Opium is "all natural" and from the earth too. It's just the dried straw/plant matter and sap from the papaverus somniferum (opium poppy). However that doesn't mean it's safe or not addictive! It contains natural psychoactive alkaloid compounds such as morphine and codeine plus a number of other opiate alkaloids that are just as dangerous and addictive as heroin. In fact, heroin is derived from morphine and made from that raw opium. It can be accomplished in someone's garage with some rudimentary materials and a basic knowledge of the processing involved. Wolf's Bane/Monkshood is all natural but also pretty toxic if ingested. Water Hemlock is one of the most highly poisonous plants in North America and even minimal exposure can be lethal. There are dozens of "all natural" plants that are crazy dangerous and toxic, so to say that something is good just because "it's a plant" or "all natural" is silly and inconsistent. At the end of the day the dose makes the poison. Too much water is deadly. 100% oxygen will kill you. It mostly comes down to concentration and time.
    Yes some natural remedies can work quite nicely in certain situations, however how do you think we developed many modern medicines and treatments? We took what we know and has been proven to work in the past and then developed and/or synthesized these natural remedies into pure, more concentrated formulations in order to maximize the effectiveness of while making it easier to determine dosage and ensure the most effective delivery system which is much more difficult, if not impossible to achieve when working with herbs and plants and such that one has no method to verify or test potency; or in some cases may not even be able to use unless broken down and synthesized into a formula that can be administered and properly metabolized to get the necessary therapeutic benefits. This is all accomplished using the scientific method and practices such as double-blind studies and the process of peer review, the gold standards for modern biomedical and pharmaceutical advancement. This irrational fear and blind distrust of modern medicine and the scientific establishment is just beyond absurd and based on nothing more than ignorance because these people can't understand it. This mentality is an absolute plague that is slowly regressing the minds of people all across the modern civilized world and this is how technological advancement is hindered: ultimately nothing more than the result of small minds.
