- Having established a secret base on Atollon, the Ghost crew, now led by a more powerful Ezra, strengthens the rebel fleet by acquiring new resources and recruits eager to stand against the Empire. However, the Imperial efforts to eliminate the rebellion are now being led by the coldly analytical Grand Admiral Thrawn, whose strategic, tactical and cultural insights make him a threat unlike any they have faced before. Well, you can't go wrong with copying an idea from a show that is so close to perfection.
Say what you want about rebels the Bendu is one of the best additions to star wars canon by far.
People judged Rebels for not being Clone Wars instead for what it was.

@@Aaronreacher Imo, rebels should've focused more on the planets and places affected by years of war and the reconnection to the nature of the force. Rebels does do this with the Bendu and Loth wolves where it seemed like we were focusing on other creatures that pocess the force. Instead of Kanen and Ezra being Jedis, it wouldve been better for them to just be force sensitives seeking out what the force is without war. WOuldve made for some clone wars tier story telling.
The Bendu wasn’t added by Rebels. This specific version, sure, but the Bendu as a group of people by his philosophy is a very old concept that goes back to Legends.

@@NinjaTyler She healed him pretty quickly after his 'death' - Force healing is something that was in Legends, and there was even a Jedi iirc that could resurrect people entirely.
Its a rare power, and my guess would be that its something that harms the user in some way. Lets not also forget that the force itself has a sort of consciousness, one that might find some strange objection in the power being one granted to anyone for any reason. The only instances of any of those powers have been 'in the moment'. Not to mention, in Rebels itself we see force healing...'in the moment' none-the-less.
I get that some people hate the new Star Wars movies, a mix of feeling that a 'happy ending' was ruined, the same nostalgia that led to a hatred of the prequels, a disdain for disney, or some darker reasoning - but lets not let that blind us too much, shall we?

At 2:39 Bendu literally summarizes Anakin Skywalker. Perfect scene.
This scene and the next one is so meaningful me, having dealt with some sort of blindness in some period of my life; this made of Kanan my favorite Star Wars character, for all of the lessons I’ve learned from his journey related with blindness and trust.
The first time I heard Bendu... I felt so defenceless then the scene continued and all was beautiful to watch... hope we could see more of him in the future.
I love how they reference the old republic era's lore so much in these modern shows, even after all of it became noncannon.
For those who don't know. Bendu is named after the Dai Bendu monks, a force organization that eventually became the Je'daii, and after the Rakata war the Je'daii pushed out all of the dark side, becoming the first Jedi. Pls let me know if I got anything wrong

Now this creature is actually a play off one of Lucas ideas, Lucas wanted there to be creature that...kinda made the force called imps, it's kinda what he was suggesting in the prequel trilogies talking about the meticlorians, I think it's cool of the creator to involve that idea

Bendu is honestly the perfect depiction of what the so-called “Grey Jedi” were in Legends: In the middle between the Jedi Light and the Sith Dark, but still good because only those in the light will strive to maintain the balance in the Force.

This probably isn't important, but seeing those massive Atollonian spiders crawling around makes so much more sense after watching that one episode of the Mandalorian. You guys know what I'm talking about right?

When you realize The Mandolorian recycled their spider monster from an entirely different planet from another Star wars show.
Could be that babies or eggs were somehow transfered on ships to other planets by accident, kinda like how we accidentally transferred many species of bugs, insects, arachnids, and small mammals with naval ships

I kind of hope if Kanan lives to see the fall of the empire that he gets artificial eyes like Wolffe has one. They probably can't give him new ones because it might be a bit pricey and finding a surgeon to do it would be hard and expensive even if they are the more skeevy, unlicensed, don't ask questions doctors. The only reason Luke has a cybernetic arm is because arms aren't as complex as eyes are.

If Kanan's eyes can not be healed, then they can be replaced by advanced cybernetics. I wonder if in the future Kanan will become a test subject in order to help others in the Rebellion which would tie in to when Luke gets his right hand replaced.
