Subscribe to my personal channel @kalaimanoa Bendu is a really cool character and I'd love to see more. I love force users who aren't affiliated with Jedi or Sith.
Bendu had some good lessons, especially his one about the Sith Holocron. "An object cannot make you good or evil. The temptation of power, forbidden knowledge, even the desire to do good, can lead some down that path.."
That's why I produced that last droid in the Star Forge back at "KOTOR". Because I believed the Star Forge could accomplish more than what it was shown.
I really enjoy the Bendu, that which stands in the middle. Laughs heartily, enjoys pleasant conversation, and teaches valuable lessons… also takes exception to being called a coward. All in all, a standup fellow.
Thawn didn't need super powers to defeat Bendu. But it's normal for people fear things they cannot grasp. It's just that Thrawn conquered his fears and did the unthinkable while his troops were on the verge of cowering.
It was so epic to cast Tom Baker as the Bendu and then David Tennant as the Jedi training droid. The two best Dr who's now together in Star Wars. How cool is that?
Well I’ll be damned. They should do that to with Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, Paul McGann, Christopher Eccleston, Matt Smith, Peter Capaldi and Jodie Whittaker as well.
Would likely not go well for Yoda. The Bendu seems to disdain the idea of 'wielding' the Force and has a very low opinion of Jedi. They wield the Force to support a horribly flawed concept of Balance, when the truth is that their definition of Balance is just a polite way of saying Stagnation, preventing changes that should have long since naturally come and gone. The Bendu would know the truth that the best thing the Jedi could do was to abandon the Republic, allow what was to come to naturally come, and then clean up the aftermath. He would also know that the Jedi would refuse to see this and I doubt he'd bother mentioning it to them unless provoked, only to tell them this truth as an act of spite, that their mission for the last thousand years was pointless.
Incorrect. Bendu is an actual creature. He has found balance, he is connected to the Force. He is old, wise, and therefore he has learned what Anakin has now learned. He can be both light and dark, he can be the middle, he can be one with the force. He’s the closest thing to a physical Force ghost, much like Grand Master Luke.
My problem with a lot of these compilation videos. They’ll remove a lot of context from the lines being said because they cut the responses or starters.
I would love to see a segment where Luke Skywalker learns about the Force under the Bendu. Though the Bendu may be a poor teacher. In fact, I believe the Bendu may embody what the Sith Lord Kreia once said about the Force, that is a Force with a mind of its own that doesn't care about Jedi or Sith and will let as many die as possible under its Will.
i think hes also missunderstood, he wasnt dangerous until kanan called him a coward and firmly asked both sides to leave. although saying "i bring death" doesnt help.
@@guyfierifeetpics He's very understood, he's an ancient being connected to the force, who wants to be left alone and frankly is uncaring of what happens to the cosmos beyond that. In that regard, despite all his power, he is a coward. Content to hide than immediately deal with threats unless his character is insulted. There's nothing to misunderstand. In the earilest StarWars scripts, the Jedi were called Bendu knights/warriors. Rebels is basically a prime case of reusing old scrapped ideas everywhere.
I love how the Bendu refers to Jedi's home planet of Tython's moons, Ashla and Bogan. in Legends (Which is way better than Disney's canon) Tython is the home of the ancient Je'daii which focused on the Force both both light and dark. Anytime a young Jedi focused too much on the Light they would be sent to Ashla (Which represented the light) and anytime they focused too much on the Dark Side, they'd be sent to Bogan (Which represented the dark). The Idea is from those moons they'll only be able to see the other side of the Force and be forced to reconize both Light and Dark are apart of the Force. It was only after the Jedi Civil war against the Dark Jedi when the now Jedi order were blinded by only following the light side in aragance and ingoring that the dark was as much apart of the Will of The Force.
close, but you mixed up the focus of the jedi. When one was too possessed by the Ashla, he/she was actually sent to the Bogan to relearn balance, and so with the Bogan to the Ashla. Other than that detail, you are essentially correct.
@@PrinceOfDolAlmroth I thought the idea was if your too much in the light you were sent to Ashla so from there you can only see the dark represented in Bogdan and understand both being necessary
