Try to leave room for people who don't "always smile" as well, they are great too and should not be left out of the conversation. Ever heard the saying "don't judge a book by its cover" ? Kind of matches here with the whole "if there always smiling I must surround myself with them" concept. Ted Bundy was always smiling, and I don't think he was a good example. Rethink things before trying to make blanket statements, DUMMY.
Pia's live commentary on your Twitch Channel was fantastic and very touching. Of course you felt sad immediately after the game, but you were playing fabulous positional play for most of the match, just ran out of time a little. Love the content, well done.

Keep going Anna, these tournament videos are tough, playing a classical and then uploading the videos, but we certainly appreciate your hard work. Thank you
Yeah, "a little bit low on time" is a quite a bit of understatement. I watched the game up until this moment and then I had to go, but I knew it would be impossible to avoid mistakes for another 13 moves with less than a minute against opponent's 15. It was literally a matter of time.
Well done Anna, don’t let that game ruin your momentum! Tomorrow is another day be positive and remember you drew against a grandmaster! Get back to that level of concentration for your next game! We are all supporting you 🎉
@@gtrmusic69 she gets very broken and feels TERRIBLE at times. But she forces herself not to show it too much in her vids. It breaks my heart too, when i notice it. Hikaru nakamura is GREAT at keeping his sanity and attitude in hard times. But he too, is very human.
Just remember that you are living your dream. I grew up way before the internet with no one to play and no where to learn. I fell in love with chess when I was 9 but there was no opportunity. I love watching you and the other streamers and learning. I am finally OK with losing knowing that I can learn from each game. I used to get so depressed thinking I was not making progress, but now I just do my best and love the beauty of the game.

Aw, i didnt watch the match but i could tell by thumbnail this one didnt end well. You played very solid game though, must be so stressful. Glad you aren’t letting it get to you too much, but of course you wont feel great after a loss. This is such a great vlog series so far, i love how you have two loving GM parent’s supporting you its so wholesome.
i think giving up the bishop pair on such an open board with all the center pawns traded off was a mistake, even if the engine doesn't say so it will always be much easier for the opponent to play.
In my first over the board tournament a lost a game so bad in just few moves, but i shake hands to my opponent and i didnt want to get angry with him because the fault was mine ☺️ so i just said "i made too many errors" And some days after, i finished the tournament with a point more of that opponent that defeated me so easily. Youre right at the end, we are not enemies 😊 we are battling against ourselves
i want to see your moms commentary, i love her input and calm voice. please upload it to youtube! edit... and as always, love your videos, best of luck moving forward in the tournament
Lurve the jazz, it WAS a great game, it looked like growth to me, I never heard you drawing GMs when you started but now you are. You're inevitable Anna and you're good for chess.
Anna great coverage of the tournament hope you don't overheat your brain all the best for future rounds hope you win the next one and the next all the best long days you're keeping
I play alot of blitz but don't have the nerves for classical. Great job hanging tough in this tournament, though. Despite the loss, it was quite a fight.
Putting too much pressure on yourself you're a great player just play and have fun don't worry so much about winning for your fans because they will be there for you win or lose.
Anna, I think you are delightful (and a much better chess player than I am!) and I really like seeing you with your parents. They must have been great parents to raise someone like you (I know I am making these based only on the evidence of what I see in your videos, but I like seeing how you and they relate). Also I find your instruction useful to help me be better at playing chess. Best wishes!
Chess, like any sport or Art form I guess, shows you that apart from skill, practise and technique there are still the elements of randomness, luck, psychology, how life is affecting your day and so on... which will affect whether you win or lose. You chose to resign against a 'lesser' player [in comparison to the GM the day before] yet played to a brilliant draw with that same GM. And that's my point. Anna, you are an inspiration to all amateur players - including myself in that description; to the young players [I imagine especially girls - though I'm sure all the straight boys will have a crush on you]; and to wannabe chess players. The World, I'm sure, adores your honesty about maybe the bad moves you've made [I'm speaking in general, not about these last two present games] - because [a] that's a good way of learning for all of us in life; [b] you show your open, non-arrogant personality - something many many other chess players could learn from!
It was a very interesting game and you played really well, don't be too disappointed. Can i also say your mother did a fantastic job commentating as well. Best of luck with your game tonight. You've got this Anna!

You can be sad when you lose games, but you should never be *super* sad. You've got half a million followers who love watching you on TH-cam, not much to be sad about.
Mom the GM who was commenting on the game said as the end approached all Anna had to do is play safe moves for a draw and named them. Instead, she choked and played sub optimal moves. By the sound of her postmortem does not seem to accept that she has done that and needs to improve. Instead, is focusing on her 90 percent accuracy in a LOSING game.
Don't be sad about losing, you're always going to learn from it. The biggest weapon you have in your arsenal is the positive mental attitude, and you're still young. Keep going and you will be a GM eventually, even if you don't make it you're a damn nice girl and no rating can take that away!
