If you're using the 12v, then you aren't putting anything in the compartment anyways? Previous version had it inside the center console, so this is much better placed.

They have hidden 12v outlets for years. Cayenne passenger floor board where it meets the dash. Great for hiding cables to radar detectors and auxiliary accessories.
Also the steering wheel comes off 🤯 i acc did not believe it but i tried it’s very hard to take it off at first but then it loosens up a bit but then it has a smily face you guys will be shocked

I'm totally fine in switching to LHD in my country so that everyone has the same standard. Ik it would be a lot of pain to switch a whole country that way. But I would rather do that than have the blinker stalk on the wrong side tho.
Same as the drain tubes on many models. Find your car battery with its own swimming pool. Highly advised people to get familiar with these and clean out regularly

Steering wheel heaters are standard on any slightly luxurious car since the early 00s, had a 2002 Lexus ES 300 that had it And that's not a cup holder, and it's pretty hard to spill shit in there
I would have rather them add it to the 8 million buttons for the center console. Have a button that lifts that cover up and exposes 12v cigarette lighter 😂😂😂
The heated wheel button is in the same place on every Porsche since at least 2011. It ain’t exactly sneaky if it’s been that way over a decade and it’s in the manual. In fact the GMC Acadia and a lot of other vehicles have that button in the exact same place. 🤦🏻 this isn’t even newsworthy

The strap handles and plastic fully removable 12V cover at the very bottom of a common spill zone are very very tacky.
Never spilt a drink in 14 years of driving... I don't understand this point at all.
I used that sneaky button in my Macan yesterday.
However, I'm grateful my 2021 has real buttons and a less secretive power port.
I prefer the real buttons in the console. I also have a 2021. The piano black just gets so yucky.
