    I have the KO controller for the Talaria, installed last weekend and have put 200 miles on it so far, Ian from KO is fantastic, customer service is top notch. These are new items and out of the box they wake the bike up just like when you cut the factory loop wire to limit the bike in the first place. Beyond that once you get the updates loaded the performance doubles again, the acceleration is fantastic and the top speed is respectable. I have a 58 tooth sprocket and burn about 70% of a stock battery on a 20 mile commute, top speed downhill on the eggrider was 74, on flat ground in 90+ degree F weather 65 mph, Speedo is off by 10% according to police radar, so 56-58 realistically. Company is fantastic, product is already as good or better than anything else out there, their dedication to the entire program is where the real value of their product lies. You can certainly run the software upgrade at the recommended 95 amps and know that the $1k was worth every penny, make sure you read and watch the tutorials, and upgrade your brakes!

      @@SwarmMcReynolds you need to tweak the settings then most likely, KO controller on a bone stock Talaria battery and motor hit 64 on two different flat ground radar traps. That is on stock wheels, Shinzo 244 and 58 sprocket with x-ring chain.

      To be fair it is tough on the battery and motor, my trip ends in a three mile 1000 elevation gain and it routinely throws codes until I added a 21 ah second battery pack. The battery is happy even though the motor gets quite hot!

      As a talaria owner myself this sounds tempting! Is this with a bypassed battery I'm guessing?

    got mine 2 weeks ago. RS Motor and KO Controller.
    Using a 20s Samsung 40t 12p 48ah 72v Pack , with a maximum of 300amps.
    Now iam at 650amp Phase and 250 amp current.
    with a 16" backtire and 56t Sproket, its a flipping machine. at 89km/h Gps Speed
    Going to try a 52 Sproket.
    Not able to go with full throttel, its going to flip u.
    The power feels like a 250er mx 2t, but with way morge torque.
    While Yoloing around at summer temperatures (25 degrees) i reached around 54 degrees of Motor Temperatur (Celsius)
    The Support ist amazing, Ko Moto is great

    I just got a KO nano controller. While the hardware looks great the software still seems to suck. Tons of problems just trying to get the computer software to communicate with the controller.

      @jimlahey5354 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@progressive_e yep I just tried the wired connection and couldn't get it to work for the longest time. Turns out it needs to be 9,600 baud. Too many little gotchas. But once I am connected though and try to change a setting sometimes it just won't change. Painful initial experience.

    Thanks for the video, the quality is top notch 👌🏾.
    What would you recommend for a bypassed battery on a Sur-Ron between the KO Moto controller and ASI's BAC8000?

    • @progressive_e
      @progressive_e  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey mate I wouldn't recommend anything over 7KW, if you want a battery that only lasts 4-8 weeks I'd say load it up to 8KW. Obviously there is always safety risks asking more from battery not designed for this too. So please be careful 👍

    • @progressive_e
      @progressive_e  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would say KO controller it's so much better built, it's plug and play no cutting connectors and it is more powerful so if you get a bigger battery later / KO motor you can have some insane power. The upgrade ability is so much better with KO you can't run there motors on a BAC. PS I would be looking at running a better battery because I wrecked 2 running 8kw which is not that much power.

    Getting it because of the no water throttle issue always scared me that I’d be waiting at the lights and my Sur Ron would just randomly boost into the traffic

    • @progressive_e
      @progressive_e  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I personally had the bike shoot out from under me at full throttle before I knew about the issue. Scared the shiiittt out of me!!
      Bike literally hit a block wall and continued to spin the wheel until I turned the key off.....
      Haven't had one issue since using the KO, very wet riding and washing the bike, it's been perfect

      @@je7647 It honestly should have been advised how bad it can actually get for sure. Like I said scared the life out of me!!
      It was after I'd washed the bike so kind of makes sense, but I'd washed the bike maybe 20 times before with no issue. So you just really don't know when it's going to happen either. My procedure had always been remove the BAC wiring plugs after washing and blow out with compressed air👍( after that big scare)

    So many updates so it's not reliable ? Many are complaining

    • @progressive_e
      @progressive_e  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      100% reliable, have been running on my bike for months now. The base code did need tweaking to get it perfect.
      When we first had it, was very reminiscent of the older original ASI tunes everyone was putting out with multiple small issues. The most recent HEX (Base Code) file we are running is zero complaints from us and is definitely hard to pick an issue at 19KW.
      Me personally, I'd pick this over an ASI just because I can adjust practically anything in the tune.
