    This esc is amazing, on a stock pack it performs very well up to 120line current and 550 phase. Bypass will 140line and 650phase. I’m running it at 72v 208 line and 650 phase on my sting and it’s just bonkers !!!!

    • @SwarmMcReynolds
      @SwarmMcReynolds 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Same with the bac 8000 at stock settings I can pull no bypass 7500w at 125 dc amps at 550-600 phase amps with a 72 no idea yet will test soon but I’m assuming I can pull 12kw+ and dc amps should be 165 and phase should be fine at 650
      Yet I pull 8kw-9kw stock bypassed battery and I get 150 dc amps and 650 phase amps I run those settings all day like 8kw-9kw 650 phase amps at 150dc amps
      Aswell as the bac8000 able to handle up to 90kw

    Excellent review! Will be placing my order for this controller tomorrow! Also to any people on the fence, KO is running a 10% discount on the current batch of controllers and or motors. Check out their Facebook post recently explaining details.
    On another note, can you provide further info on exactly which rear fender you're running and or how you made it fit?

  • @musicbox4022
    @musicbox4022 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Do you think an aftermarket motor provides better range? I have a heavily modded Surron with tremendous power and I don’t see how a different motor would benefit. Great channel

    • @electricisbetter
      @electricisbetter  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on who makes the motor. But I'd say in most cases yes. Just with the K.o controller and stock battery I'm seeing better range and higher top end speed.

    • @musicbox4022
      @musicbox4022 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@electricisbetter yeah, I have the full EBMX set up .. battery and Controller. The thing rips in single track and tops out around 60. Range is about 30 miles if I’m ripping single track hard. I also opened my motor and put larger wires to the coils (which wasn’t needed). I just don’t see the benefit of swapping the motor too unless someone tells me significant gains in range… then I’ll have that motor off in no time! Lol

  • @dirkmohrmann8960

    So you're running it with the stock battery at 100A, so 6kw?
    BMS bypassed or not?
    Any way you could do a video that shows the performance compared to stock? Also, I hear that aftermarket controllers tend to be more efficient than the stock unit and actually improve range (or give better performance for the same range), was that your experience as well with this one?

      @@electricisbetter well I hope you're getting some kick backs from KO ;) because I just ordered one. I really was going to keep the power train stock on this bike but it was too tempting. Either would be able to handle the 12.5kw fine. I really like the look of the Pro, But the Nano will run it no problem. Running 12.5kw on a stock motor will be hard on the motor however.

    Sweet, been looking forward to this review!!
    It looks like the controller integrates and uses the stock display unit - is this correct?
    If so, does the stock display unit retain the same features, such as gear ratio, power modes, regen levels, etc?
    Cant wait until the Talaria BFM (Big F'n Motor) comes out!!
    I don't know if you have any experience with the ASI BAC controllers but do you have any thoughts comparing them?
    (edit) I like how the connectors are laid out on this controller so you don't have to futz with the motor phase wires. Increasing length and adding connections increases resistance - especially with big amps.

    Would getting the motor help with long distance full throttle road riding or will that still damage the ko motor? Very new to the emoto world. Just got a sting and want to start modding it but I wanna make sure if I increase the power that the motor can withstand it with road commuting

    • @electricisbetter
      @electricisbetter  2 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @electricisbetter
      @electricisbetter  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it's constantly beeping, its in a set up mode. I refer you to k.o website and double check to make sure you haven't skipped a set up step. It could also be a soft brick beep. If the controller is interrupted during a format update, it will soft brick. And it will continuously beep until you unbrick it with the hard wire that comes with the controller. Your controller with beep different for different problems. It would be worth reaching out to k.o to see what your beep rhythm means.
