That's one sweet setup ! I never did any plowing or tilling in the Fall I would be afraid of erosion with most of my land being on a hill . Just got back from Tasmania helping the now ex fix her boat. Back at the boat in Indonesia. And it was Farmall Friday. My Gradpa was a Massy Harris guy. Pony's. One spread legged an one Row Crop with the two tires close together. I must have rode a hundred miles leaning against the fender of those things. He hat a gas-powered Catapiller he liked a lot for the lack of compaction. My Aunt was a Ford and Miniapolas Moline with a hand clutch. I learned to drive that pulling a hay wagon. Got a few gruff words, maybe more until I got the hang of that hand clutch. Best times of my childhood were when I got farmed out to those two. As I grew older I always liked the Cornbinder's best. Even had a 57 and 59 half ton pick ups. When I was a teenager. You have any International flat beds. Love your Videos. ..... Kim Philley of SV Philiosophy currently sailing around Lombok Indonesia. Those childhood farms were in Central Oregon. Both 200 acre dairy and row crop respectively.

The temperature gauges that are out now are all junk as far as I'm concerned. My brother picks corn with his M with a mounted new Idea picker, and the temperature gauge must work. (Don't want to cook the engine)We've had five gauges on the tractor in the last five years, and they've all failed. We even tried two automotive gauges, and they failed to. Nothing is built to work anymore, much less to last.

Why the different wheel offset on the rear axles?
Coulters are way off also. They should cut directly inline with the share. Not a big deal unless there is a lot of trash on the field, but it will definitely pull easier if they are running inline instead of having to rip through the sod with the plow itself.

In my experience I would never use a narrow front end tractor and I definitely wouldn’t use a 2 wheel drive tractor for plowing either using a tractor with 2 wheel drive your looking to replace the rear axles because of the ground you are plowing up you get in hard clay or gumbo your bound to snap an axle or something else in the rear end of that tractor

We used narrow front end M’s for years. Plowed all the time with them in clay and sand never broke a rear axle. It’s in knowing how to use them. Nothing but two wheel drive. My current tractor is two wheel drive. Both of our M’s went to other people in time, they used them a long time.
