When I didn’t make the team the High school golf coach told me it was because I only used my 3 wood off the tee. Told me I was losing too much distance. Yeah sure, I hit my driver 30 yards further but I also have a 100 yard slice with it
I disagree, if your playing a par 4-5 with a drivable distance from your tee, I think you should play driver more often than not, since the driver is the "hardest/Longest" club in your bag even if you might lose your nice ball, having that extra rep of using your driver will get you more confident in the long run. I have buddies who are great golfers but can't hit their driver at all because they are to scared to lose their ball but idk I'm not a great golfer.
350 yard par 4: 4 iron at 210 9 iron at 140 onto the green. 350 yard par 4: 260 driver into the water, drop, 110 yard gap wedge nuked over the green and now you double bogey an easy hole and make dumb mistakes the rest of the round.
I absolutely hate this argument. If you slice the sh*t out of your driver the chances are you do it with 3 wood too. Such a stupid argument as if you just hit 3 wood and suddenly you're in the fairway. Hitting a much smaller club of similar length off the tee because you can't control driver is stupid. Either swap for an iron or just man up and hit driver.
You sound so dumb. There’s 18 holes. 4 of them are par 3s that leaves 4 par 5s and 10 par 4s. So if you hit drive on all the par 4s and 5s that adds up to you swing the driver 14 times a round.
well you dont intend to hit 14 at the start... but after the 7th or 8th go in the water you are in too deep. Tbf after the 10th you should just quit for the day.
You could be the sole exception in the entire world, but I’d bet you don’t hit 3w meaningfully straighter. Arccos has proven this across golfers of all skill levels.
Bro, did you ever consider hitting a 3 wood is harder than hitting a driver?
Seriously, my driver is way more accurate and reliable than my 3 wood 😂
Exactly
Erm, you're weird. My 3 wood is more accurate and reliable than my driver. I suspect you practice with your driver and not your 3 wood.
@@kamalhashmi9851 erm, what the sigma?
You need better 3 woods or swing tweak. 3 wood should be so much easier.

Sounds like you have a slice you need to fix.
Depends on the course and how far it's rolling. Found that out sunday. Rolled out to a water hazard I'm never in danger of normally.
I find driver easier to hit than 3 wood
I feel it's easier to hit driver more so than 3 wood.
When im playing to shoot low I take the 3 wood the majority of the day.
Depends on where you're playing of course
This is why they made mini drivers.
A half swing with my driver is a lot more accurate than my 3 wood and similar distance

I love with a driver or 3 wood and the blu hit 5 iron lol
I don't bag a 3 wood...👀. 1 iron for life!!
350 yard par 4: 4 iron at 210 9 iron at 140 onto the green.
350 yard par 4: 260 driver into the water, drop, 110 yard gap wedge nuked over the green and now you double bogey an easy hole and make dumb mistakes the rest of the round.
The second one is me
Or you can do 330 yd driver, blade the chip shot twice, and 3 putt it like a pro.
Or, 260 driver into the rough, 90 yard pitch.
Yea well use a 3 wood until you get to those 460 yard par fours
you loose more balls because its most likely the only club you use a almost every hole other than like putter
Youre less likely to lose the ball of you hit a putter ❤
As a beginner golfer I picked up a 3 wood instead of a driver to enjoy the game instead of looking for balls
I lose a lot of balls with my woods lol
Consistency is key in golf - keep it up. 👍

I hit my driver 50 yards further sooo ima stick with my driver.
I hit a driver with a 3 wood shaft
What if I lose a ball hitting my 3 wood😂
I put my driver to bed and my score dropped by 6-10 shots…
If you’re not hitting driver off the tee, why do you have a driver?
Who hits their driver 250 and their 3 wood 230?
Everytime you lose a ball it costs you 2 shots? Weird way to put it. You lose a ball, take a stroke penalty, and hit it again.
I always hit driver when I can. You are giving up way too many yards by not.
Nah 3 woods are much more difficult for amateurs to strike purely.
funny of you to assume i won’t lose just as many balls with my 3 wood 😅
The maths for the first one is so dumb. Who hits 14 drives on the same hole 😂
14 drives a round guy

I can only
Imagine this is a joke, and will
Simply not acknowledge otherwise
Please tell me you’re trolling

Yeah. Because no one ever lost a ball with a 3 wood
Or you can just get lessons practice and fix your driver to hit it straight
I snapped my driver only to reveal to me that always hit fairway with a smooth 3 w
You could be the sole exception in the entire world, but I’d bet you don’t hit 3w meaningfully straighter.

@@MEAT0 I mean not extremely better than my driver but I seem to hit a lot more fairways with my 3w than my dricer
That is so dumb
Wow this video is useless…
Its col I find a ton of balls golfing even sometimes find ones I lost weeks ago
This math is 🏳️🌈
