The chord sequence I hear Yussef Kamaal playing is... (F#m7) to (Fm7) to (D#m7) to (G#7) to (C#m7). It's a descending (minor 7ths) sequence that end in a 2-5-1 cadence but the 1 chord isn't a major chord like a lot of 2-5-1 sequences end in. It's another minor chord. Actually the 1 chord could have been the start of another 2-5 sequence. Also, I played the minor chords without the 5th note (a three note chord) to keep the guitar sound from cluttering up the keyboard chords which take up a lot of space. Plus the 3 note chord makes it easier to hear over the massive keyboard chord. If you're a guitar player, the shape looks like a "therefore" sign. Cheers!
