Kool video, that trailer would have me batty on the loading and unloading. The mower cuts great at that speed, the weekend is almost here so have a good one and thank you!
It's a beast of a mower. Whitetail deer are giving birth here right now, so we have to be very, very careful when we use it. In fact, before the cutting shown in the video, we carefully walked every inch of the cut zone to make sure there wasn't a fawn bedded down. Thanks for watching!
@@OurNewLand Oh wow! Good plan walking the area. Kind of amazing there's gonna be fawns everywhere. We caught a few on camera last spring... looking forward to more this year!
Hey guys. Been a while. Glad to see everything coming along for you. We have the swisher 44 inch as well. Ours isn't as heavy as yours. More of a finish mower. Yours is a stronger built machine. They run well though. We also have a DR tow behind brush mower. The land looks great and the progress is wonderful to see. Take care.
Thank you! We did some shopping around but ultimately went with Swisher due to their customer service as they were very responsive and helpful. Hope you’re doing well!
Sincerely a great looking mower and without a doubt that will be a huge help on your property good job!! We are in the same dilemma in consideration to purchasing a trailer as we rent a lot from U-Haul and honestly…. Yeah no need to explain! Lol Many blessings to you
It works really well. We were able to drive faster than we expected, which really cut down (pun) on the time we spent mowing. We have to pause on the cutting for now, as there are too many fawns bedded down on the property. Thanks again for visiting our channel!
I was just out cutting tonight, just grasses and weeds in a pretty flat field. Motor got REAL LOUD all of a sudden…. discovered 1 pipe completely broke off the flange, and both pipes had cracks on both sides. Not happy considering I haven’t ran it 15 hours.
Oh man, that stinks! We haven't had any issues with ours so far, but I'll go check for cracks. Please let us know what Swisher says if you call them on it. Good luck!
@@OurNewLand I got in touch with them today. Evidently Kawasaki (they make the exhaust too) knew there was a problem because a new muffler has a bracket. They will replace the muffler assembly under warranty. I’m in the turf business and everything I have has a Kawasaki on it…the vtwins all have braces, don’t know why this didn’t.
Thanks! We’ll be sure to highlight it more in future videos. We’ll be clearing our second good plot pretty soon so we’ll try and capture it. So far so good!
They do not like unlevel surfaces AT ALL. Don’t try backing up on unlevel surfaces because it will dig in if you’re cutting low. Lowering the unit is a pain in the ass with the handle setup they use. The backend needs a discharge like the front has because material gets packed up in the back corner, both back corners should’ve been radiused up instead of boxed and square.
It was either this, or a tractor. This was $30k less than the tractor, so that sealed the deal! But, oh, would we like to have a tractor. Someday.... Thanks for watching!
Hi Gavin, it’s about 10.5’ overall. I’ll be sure and measure it exactly when I’m out there next. Be sure and watch that other Swisher video where you see my frustrations with loading it on a trailer.
Hey Dan. It's the 14.5hp, model # RC14544CPKA. I think the "CPKA" signifies where it was purchased from. We reached out to Swisher directly to order it. The machine is a beast, though both tires have slow leaks. Thanks for watching.
@@OurNewLand Thanks for the reply! Looks like you got it just in time - seems to be out of stock now. I may go for the 11.5 pull-start version. Should still do a good job. (PS, I've never found pneumatic small equipment tires like those that don't leak.) Enjoy!
save your money, time, and effort. Don't buy a swisher tow behind. No info on how to do your own repairs (and you will be doing them) for example a belt replacement. Spend your money on upgrading your tractor and/or mower deck.
Hey Joe. Thanks for the info. I've heard the same thing about belt replacements on the Swishers. We'll make sure to make a video of us changing it out. Take care.
I have to agree - I’ve had one for 6 years and the belt breaks constantly. Repairing and replacing is an incredible pain. Plus there is no good solution for mounting the handle on an atv or similar.
Elite! Shimmy and Shimmying are under appreciated words!
Thanks for watching! The mower has been great. We used it yesterday to help prepare two food plots.

Thanks for watching! I hope you guys have a great weekend!
This is the ticket! I hadn't seen one before! We have a couple acres of field that this would be brilliant!
We didn’t know these existed either! So far we’re very happy with it!
I really need one of those Swisher mowers! Thanks for showcasing it. I am always interested to see implements that can be used with an ATV. Thanks
So glad we found it. I had no idea they existed!
looks amazing and happy it is working out for you guys take care and have a great day
Thank you! You have a great day as well!
This is really great, that thing is awesome. Great to hear about Swisher, I will keep them in mind on future projects. Thanks for sharing this!

That’s nice! Going to help keep that all under control! Great video! New friend here 😊
Thanks for watching!
Sounds like this is just what you need to keep the brush under control.
It's going to help a ton! Thanks for watching.

Owning a good trailer is high our WANTS list, but pretty far down our CAN AFFORD list. Take care, brother!
@@OurNewLand I hear ya!! Blessings to you as well my brother!
I saw this in the back of Mother Earth News and then BAM, you guys are reviewing one!😄 05:26 Now you know you were having a blast!🤣
Ha! The mower is awesome! Thanks for watching.
That's a huge mower host thanks for sharing big thumbs up. New friend here host from Polar Bear
Welcome to our channel! Thanks for watching.
looks like it works pretty good .. i may have to look into one of these

That swisher mower looks sweet! I have been curious how well they operate and their capability

Yes, designed to be pulled behind an ATV. It uses a ball hitch. So easy to use! The only downside is your burning fuel 2X - the ATV and the mower.
I am not a fan of uhaul.
I am a fan of this bush hog type mower. That’ll be super handy.
Handles that tall stuff pretty well. Nice.
The mower worked like a charm! As for U-Haul, I'm right there with you. No bueno.
What is the total length from the swisher hitch to the back of the mower? Planning for trailer size with utv. Thanks!

So it doesn't come with a battery already?
You will need to by a U1 battery for it. Thanks for watching!
Is that the 11.5 or 14.5hp? Happen to have the model #?

Should have just lifted it over the side….
