My Granddaughters half siblings were both adopted by a loving Christian family!! My granddaughter was nearly killed by her mother at 13 months old. Then my son got custody of her. I raised her for 7 and a half years.
My husband was adopted and he had a habit of always wanting the first bite of pie, or quiche, or whatever, to be the point of the piece of pie. Always. Then we met his birth father and half sister. Same. It was hilarious when we noticed it.
I was adopted at six days. At 35 I found I had a younger full sister. We share so many traits and interests. On of those traits is a knot in the cartilage inside the rim of the top of one ear only. Mine is on the right and hers is on the left. Between us we have three sons. Each son has the single knot, on his aunt’s side ear. It has been fun seeing all of the big and little shared traits we have discovered over the last three decades.
So cool, Leeanne! That is so awesome! I totally get it! It's amazing how many characteristics I share with my sibs -- mannerisms, humor, likes, dislikes. I'm glad you've had a positive outcome with your reunion. Thanks for sharing!
What a true blessing. SO glad I found your families. Love the videos and look forward to catching up on your stories. Good Lord does some amazing things in our lives and the families stories are meant to be shared, not just for your families good but for the good of others as well. With gratitude....
Great idea! Our mother and sister do not want their pictures shown, as they value their privacy, but I like the idea of showing pics of our grandfathers. Ryan definitely takes after one of them, and Devon takes after the other. If our father is okay with it, we'd love to show a picture of him. Devon looks just like him!
My older brother does the smell test thing too. I never understood it, but it's just a little quirky thing a lot of people do. I'm glad you all are doing things together! Yes, you are all very blessed!
Ryan, thanks for sharing this story of the first outing all the siblings and your Dad and Stepmother had together. Glad that you both have this property to enjoy together and have a nice and quite place to reminisce about your childhood and grow close together as brothers. Hopefully you will have many more videos shot in the famous Buckwheat field and build many more happy memories with your families there. Adoptions are a wonderful thing but can be very painful for adoptive parents when they fail for one reason or another. It is great to hear of Devon's successful adoption story and then him being able to reunite with his natural family later in life.
I remember the crying in the field of buckwheat video. I think it was one of the first ones I watched. I shared it with my husband. We both found it very touching and a heartwarming story. I'm so happy ya'll are doing so well. By the way. I love buckwheat. I threw out a 5-pound bag of it in my garden. The bees love it.
Hey Jenna! Thank you so much for the kind words! We have two more adoption videos coming soon. Get that avocado tree named! We discovered the bees love the buckwheat! Thanks again!
I love watching your channel. You boys have sure come a long way since you met. When you are doing videos together I've noticed several timed you are standing or sitting the same way. You say certain words that if I wasn't looking right at the tv I can't tell which one of you is saying it. What a blessing your entire family has received.
Fantastic video Ryan, I love y’all’s story, I was adopted too but a little different than y’all’s story! I’m so happy y’all took a vacation together, good memories! We also found a brother we didn’t know we had and he was 60 at the time we all met the first time!
Hi, thank you for tuning in! I’m not sure how adoption registries work with regards to nephews but I would maybe start my investigation there. Depending upon age, you can also do 23andMe and see if there are any matches. Best of luck to you!
Meeting my biological father didn't turn out that good for me as it turned out he was an alcoholic but I enjoy watching your videos and so glad to see it turned out so good for all of you.
Sorry it didn't work for you, Big hugs. He may have gone that way bcuz he missed you. Hopefully your adopted family were loving and you have someone to love and be loved by. 🥀🌹♥️🌹🥀
My grandaughters siblings were taken by the state at birth. Her sister is 14 months younger than her and their brother is 13 months younger than the sister. They all have different dads and it took 7 dna tests to find her sisters dad.
I'm not adopted, but I just think it's so awesome that y'all found each other and that you have a life together now! Can't wait for the next "crying in the buckwheat field. LOL
You guys story is so powerful ! Ever since I found your first video i been sharing it and telling your story! Thanks for sharing and understanding how much you are able to help others with truly the most life altering things one can go through. I think you all are wonderful. AND yes you guys have so many of the same mannerism and characteristics that are very easy to see when you talk side by side. I'm so happy for you guys!
Y’all can’t get passed genetics 😂. My sister who was adopted out and we reunited with- we matched hands, eyes, feet, mannerisms… it’s been fun! I’m loving the relationship y’all have and wanted to say thank you for sharing your story♥️
It looks like a hail storm from Texas! I don't know about others but I'd like to hear what happened to your sister and how many total grand kids there are and whether you or Devon have kids or are married. Just curious about how the entire family has been over the last years since the adoption.
Hey, thanks for the comment! Yep that hail was just outside of Brady TX. We can get more into it in another video, but each sibling has 2 kids, so 6 grandkids total and we all live relatively close, talk and hang out regularly. It’s amazing!
Thanks for asking. We plant buckwheat every year for three reasons: as a summer cover crop to keep the weeds at bay, as browsing food for the deer and as a soil builder. This year was a flop for us on the buckwheat. We will mow or burn the grass/weeds this fall as we plant winter wheat -- our normal fall crop. Thanks again.
I never really thought anything of it. It just made sense to me when they told me. They had told my sister when she turned 18 so I guess that helped, but honestly I was just excited! I used to tell my mom how cool it would be to have a brother and I’m sure that didn’t feel good. I can understand the hesitation in explaining that to a teenager (a very immature one at that). Thanks for the question!

Unbelievable. She was very fortunate to have you!

Ha! That would be awesome, Keke! Thanks for watching!

Best adoption reunion ever. 🤗 Hugs, 💖 Love, and 🦋 Butterfly Blessings to your entire family.🤗💖🦋
Thank you so very much, Jennie! It's been an amazing experience!
You should do a video on Devan (if he is married and or has kids). Show all your siblings and both sets of grandparents pictures.

I definitely think that nature Is real thing
For sure!

My older brother does the smell test thing too. I never understood it, but it's just a little quirky thing a lot of people do. I'm glad you all are doing things together! Yes, you are all very blessed!
So glad to hear someone else out there does this! Thanks for sharing and for the comments!

Amazing! We have a few pictures of Devon and our mother’s father standing near each other with the same stance. It’s really cool!
Love your story, would you post a picture of you all? Would love to see you siblings.
We’ll see. Our sister isn’t a big fan of all things social media :). Thanks for watching!
@@OurNewLand Thank you, totally understand. Apologies for asking. Presumumous of me.

@@OurNewLand yes we are in Oklahoma and he’s in California but we talk often and he comes to see us a couple times a year
I am trying to figure out how to find my nephew. Not sure where to start. Any helpful ideas would be appreciated. Glad I found this channel!

You're going to mow it? I'm not sure I understand why the buckwheat isn't reaped 1st.

Any chance y’all would be able to interview mom and dad on camera? Are the parents still friends?
They are still friends, but I doubt we will get them on camera. Maybe our father, but our mother is a bit camera shy. Thanks again for watching!
Maybe they will do the interview without their faces showing?
In a field of buckwheat....put that on a t-shirt 😂
Truly amazing and touching video
Thanks so much! I love it! Maybe Devon will get it for Xmas…
😂😂 a good cry is always good for the soul! It was your turn 😢😢
Haha, I agree! Thanks for watching and for the comment!
How do you feel about not being told about your brother?
I never really thought anything of it. It just made sense to me when they told me. They had told my sister when she turned 18 so I guess that helped, but honestly I was just excited!
