Hi folks, in this video I’m going to show you step-by-step how to build yourself at home recycling all the things you can have at home or just buy very cheap things and adopt them to build yourself an HO generator for your soldering or welding station
It’s very simple basically what we only need are some things to plates. In this case I took 20 things to plates Steam cooker
Hi Dan, connect to steam rods to 10 of them
And other 10 rods to other 10 plates
Basically what we need to have 10 plates that are positive and then plates that are negative
The power supply for this project is very simple basically a microwave oven transformer converted into a much higher pair and low voltage
There is a tutorial on how to build yourself at transformer like this just check on my other TH-cam channel
Rulof maker
How to make a spot weather machine
We need to have the current and for this purpose, I suggest to install some di in a bridge rectifier configuration without capacitor works OK
Now we just have to submerge everything into sodium carbonate. If you want to have a much higher result, but it be more dangerous you can use some sodium hydroxide which is acid and argon just to do this because if there is an explosion, we would end up to have acid in all our skin.
The container to build the project is basically just flex gloss or acrylic container and it really suggested to use plastic and don’t use glass because if any breaks up, you will not get hurt if you use plastic parts
So this is a very simple tutorial the main thing to consider when you are building yourself the torch is using an ole made with copper I just give the shape to the nozzle using a small hammer and inserting inside a 0.6 mm needle

I have heard of it and was kinda wondering but I'm pretty sure I know what you are talking about
I almost spit out my oatmeal from laughing at the reference.
I've been a serious DIY'er for 65 years and also watch tons of TH-cam how-to videos. I have to say using the small wire brush on a drill to rapidly spin down a nut on a threaded rod is one of the most clever tricks I've ever seen (and I've seen a lot :). Thanks for the inspiration!
It's much easier with compressed air...
Dude this plus the zip tie spacers is genius.
Same. But not the experience.
7:21 WHAT THE 😳😳BRO LMAO IM DYING RIGHT NOW!! 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂 why this shot with the jar lol💀💀💀😂😂
LOL the Jar scene. Yeah don't want that exploding. Brutal lolol Wonder how many people will get the ref
many of us want's to delete this image from our heads
@@ArnasBlantaitis-tb7wvthat and a lot more...
That scene alone made me subscribe. Great sense of humor.
a lot i'd imagine.
The algorithm blessed me with finding this channel today!
The idea of the Steampunk radiator, the light bulb non-return valve and the vertical flow reducer are brilliant. Aesthetically unattainable, in the style we like so much. The empirical aspect of the flashback is very useful. I'm waiting for the glass test. Kind regards Rulof (reviewed several times with subtitles)
GRAZIE! senza farlo apposta è davvero stempunk!
safety is paramount when work with that mixture... but not here. it is a design that can make BOOM. he probably should separate the gases first in the reactor/generator, and feed them close to the torch via two hoses, separately, and having control of the mixture. his gas mixture is stoichiometric, so it ca travel back faster than you react, multiple flame arrest should be added on the hidrogen line. but not onnly etc, etc. hard plasic can act as solid if explosion is powerful enough, maybe 2 longitudinally joined PET bottles are more suitable. in term of surface area the metal wool would give him more surface, also inox plates is not so great for this process. imagine those plates flying through the air in all directions like ninja knives.
oh god .. glass jar flashback
I tried to make one with canning jars.
Big mistake!
It flashed back and blew up everything.
I'm so glad I had it under a large steel can when I tested it.
I remember watching your videos about 4 or 5 years ago and thought you quit making videos because I haven’t had any of your videos recommended in the last 3 years. I was super happy to see this video, you inspired me to make things when I was younger and I’m really glad you’re still making videos. Best of luck with this new Chanel!
Came back today to say thank you!! AND thank you for your hard work and wholesome videos and energy ❤❤❤
I M SO HAPPY THAT FINALLY I BING ENERGY ALSO IN ENLISH LANGUAGE! grazie from italy"!
Good video. Most torches you buy are brass which is a copper based alloy, and its for exactly that reason. The copper dissapates and conducts it away very effectively. Great build, i would love one of these in the shop. Its so much easier to refill water than buying gas canisters. Amazing build and thank you for all the tips on being successful with such a build
It'd spectacular thing that Hydrogen!!
Try searching Delvis11 ,he has tons of videos on hho production !!
I bought some 8 inch 314L plates and made my own generator. Think it was about 100 for the plates ... but they were designed to my liking !! Produced bout a litre a minute.
Like I said ,watch Delvis11, though channel name had a change ... go back through his vids about 11yrs and you'll see ,what I was telling this chap about a mouse ball as a check valve for flashback safety !!
P.s. never detonate a 5Litre jug of hho ... without ear protection ... ouch , ears still ringing 😂 😂
Absolutely brilliant build!!!!! Well done🎉
i'm a simple person. i see a new Rulof vid and i like it right away.
Absolutely fantastic! I'm truely impressed, I know it's more work than it looks to make something like this, especially out of scraps.
I'm surprised the horizontal electrodes work as well as they do.
I would've thought the bubbles would get in the way. I'd love to see a follow up in a year to see if the bubbles caused uneven wear.
OMG! When I saw the basement, I wanted more details about it than about the generator
Its for what’s coming. You’ll notice lots of people have them. Colin furst for instance.
It’s for when everything goes dark.

Dude, your channel is criminally underrated! Love your presentation-such that I might steal parts. 🤣✊🏻🖤
amazing. i have almost everything to make one right now. thanks Rulof. love your channel
You gave me a great idea with the copper nozzle , i was about quitting with my kaboom generator.
Very informative video. I might have to tinker on the subject. Thanks buddy .
That trick with the studding and the wire wheel! 🤯
you look like a mad scientist it's awesome.
i love your channel rulof, keep doing it, i'll make someday the tig spark as you did. greetings from argentina.
TH-cam lo hizo de nuevo y me trajo aquí, nuevo suscriptor✌🏻 you're very smart i wish you the best in all your projects and in your life man..
Such a cool project and has a mad scientist vibe as well. Even with the Muahhhaaa laugh! Love it!
merci pour cette merveilleuse idée
With every video I am surprised you survived your Project
I love your basement! That's so cool!
First video of yours I have seen and with the memories unlocked from the shot of you standing over the glass jar I will definitely be subscribing! Lmfao
Muy buen proyecto con una excelente realización!!
Voy a usar este proyecto para mi taller, es una gran herramienta, con todas las precauciones señalas, es muy bueno!! 👍 😊
Rulof is shooting for the starts with 50K likes..... that's a lot even for bigger channels.
Rulof! Thank you for the video, You use Sodium bicarbonate (Baking Soda) here, but Sodium carbonate (Washing Soda) is more conductive. I have seen people use Sodium hydroxide (Lye) for even better conductivity, though I would probably not use that, as i do enjoy splashing around in my projects.
Too Tru, sodium chloride also makes a considerable amount of chlorine gas aswell.
the glass jar scene earned you an extra like :) Funny af
The ending, how is no one talking about the ending. I laughed Rulof 😂😂😂
Dude, everytime i watch a Video.. My brain explodes. You will have a HUGE following one day. You are fucking Brilliant.
Well done. Nice design. Remember your ppe when doing flashbacks lol.
Your gag at 7:20. ☠
Excellent TH-cam. A question more on the content:
What was the steam cooker you dissembled? I would like to find that second hand to get the plates in one go. Thanks again for the great TH-cam!
😮great video ,we are all waiting merced class a fuel cell and motor teardown
Love see someone playing with ,one of the most abundant ,and more importantly ,extreme fun elements!!!!
If you wanted a check valve , you could have used some pvc fittings ,computer mouse ball ,and a spring !!
Sorry I've watched a lot of delvis11 vids . He made his own scrubber ,with built in check valve ... very repeatable ,safe and inspiring !!
Keep up the cool experiments!!
you can see in some frames i mado one maade with metal loads on top. grazt idea using a ball mouse!
@@rulof-is-how-to-make you're welcome good sir !!!
I know you know ... even perspex can shatter like a grenade!! Specially the thicker stuff !!
And Hydrogen been as is ... carrying so much potential energy .....
Try Fill a carton ,say five litre ,sealed and detonate with a electric igniter from a safe distance !!
In a very open area .... just to make sure you don't blow someone's greenhouse glass out ,from shockeave 😂 😂😂 😂
Serious power of Hydrogen, handle with care
@@rulof-is-how-to-makei have lots of electronic waste; the E-waste yes?
Wondering..... can E-ball mouse be used with any tube type it plugs properly? 19:14
Oh and just A heads Up ...... not all ball types are good. I tried a more organic specialty GERMAN ball type but i ran onto problems right away with the GER ball getting loose, trapped and just creating a mess with hair line cracks
Technically you could use a steel ball bearing alone , aslong as its surface is true.
And it rested in a silicone seal of sorts, to keep the gas Inside and pressure constant.
Plus the exit port is large enough for the release gases ... and the spring load was string enough for holding the relief ball tight .
Check hho for life , around 12 yrs back in video feed ... he has a demo of said device ...
Erm yeah , hho tends to seep through some materials ... so heck what you use
As usual, u r always impressive along with creative ideas;
Absolutely awesome!
Well done :) When i tried this i couldn't control the foaming, that led to water in the gas tube and made it more prone to unpredictable flashback. I think I had too much contamination in mine. yours seemed to bubble very clean. It is genuinely scarey running one of these. I popped the top of my bubbler many times and it was NOT a fun kind of bang.
Instead of using salt, use potassium hydroxide. Fairly easy to come across and doesn't bubble
Good setup with recycled materials
So interesting what I can find on TH-cam nowadays
Thank you for your video it was great! ❤❤❤
Brooooo I can’t believe you did the jar guy hahahahahah that totally caught me off guard.
One man one jar 😂
Glorious! Subscribed
Questo progetto molto interessante, mi ha ispirato molto
Fantastic as usual, your english is great. Please consider lowering the background music a little bit more while speaking.
As I am sure everyone is listening to every word.
One I missed was the type of glue you use for the small bottle necks.
Thank You
thanks for the advice! you arnt the firt person to say me this today!
Genio amigo te felicito eres y tienes predisposicion dr enseñar y lo de la soldafora de plasma lo estoy armando haciendo transformador y lo del hidrogeno tambien es buena idea poder hacer soplete y cocina bro thank
This is awesome.
Super! Thank you very much!
I love this! What type of flame does this make?
I was expecting a neutral flame because Hydrogen and Oxygen get split and then put back together. The color looks like it is a reducing flame but with the silver solder it looks like an oxidizing flame. It is not the copper burning because that would make a green flame. I'm trying to think of how I could use one of these. From the way it melts glass, I can see it being used as a cutting torch or glass melting torch.
My guess is that not all the oxygen and hydrogen being produced gets to the torch at the same time because the water absorbs some of the oxygen. Once saturated it releases oxygen like bubbles in soda water which is probably why you have to restart it every once in a while.
thanks mate, helped a lot
menikmati prosesnya
Just make it with separate oxygen and hydrogen collection, that should fix your flashback problem. Maybe a water collector on the output tubes like they use in air compressors would get rid of remaining condensation.
love the 1 guy 1 jar referance ! haha
This is the first time I've seen your new channel in my feed, immediately subscribed. Will you also be revisiting your DIY ruby project? I would love to see what type of quality you can get with a longer growing time and stable feed rate.
As you turn the generator on switch by switch you laugh like a mad scientist! That's the best part. Lol☮️
1 maker 1 jar XD
hahahahh so amazing! Happy that I found your channel!
Great work
Great content.
Very cool.
Looks super cool I need to make one for my lab are you doing well
7:22 OMG the reference hahahah
You are madly genius!, lol!….
Amazing build! However you should use a different electrolyte. Salt water releases a deadly gass when put through electrolysis! I can't remember what gas but that is the reason military submarines dont use electrolysis to regenerate oxygen during long term dives. I hope you are ok and read this message before anything bad happens.
That's awesome!
Am i mistaken or are you liberating O2 as well? Where's it going
bro i have a question, i watch videos ro the topíc, with silver ,people get electricity and can separate oxygen,, so you can't catch it and increase pressure to regulate like aceline and oxigen get a better solder flamer? grettings from costa rica
Excellent
I have actually used oxy+hydrogen flame to do repairs commercially specifically for special conduits/tanks for acid, fun times.
If you manage to also connect and the air from electrolysis to combine them together you will have tremendous heat but more explosive mixture in there !☺️
you are the best !!!
Ok, besides interesting project, one man, one jar, and you have my sub 😂
In celsius, ti prego 😅
Sei un grande
I lobe the basement!
Rulof made this in a cave using scraps!
Fantastic video thanks sooooo much what is the music rhat starts at 13:50
A question, is it possible if i m to use a plain steel plate (without holes) stacked n arranged in-between like you did BUT instead hv them mounted sideways in the water container (instead of straight up like you did) thus/to allows for free flowing of hidrogen bubbles up (sideways of the arranged plates)😮?
Of course, I cn always drill some holes around the plate surface if needed;
great idea! it could work!
Cool video. You might want to tweak your intro volume, it's 2-3 times louder than the rest of the video
cool video, but combined gas HHO generators are very dangerous
second, are you using a microwave oven transformer as part of the power supply?!
Should a different salt be used as to not make chlorine gas?
Oh God no... Not the jar 😂
Thats hot enough to make calcium carbide. Pretty neat
Couldn't you add some form or air intake in the torch head to bring a bit more O2 in the mix, as that flame could be far more efficient.
Some copper wool inside the torch handle will quench the flashback by cooling the flame inside.
How did you make your basement? It looks like it was dug with the house sitting on top of it.
Did he really just make a one man one jar joke…?😂😂
If you add an air compressor (I believe an aquarium one is enough), wouldn't it improve the mixture? and with that a more powerful torch?
Could you test?
plase ceck the video at the end! is in italian but is weel undestandeble!
Lol, I've seen that jar video somewhere. 🤔😂
I am in love with your shop but for the love of lockjaw, I worry about that ladder
Can you make a hydrogen heater for heating?
This would be useful in my country, Syria, because there is no means of heating
50000 likes is crazy af dude
Admit it, that cellars seen a lot of d and d games ;)
How did you manage the collection of gas when you weren't actively using the torch to put the devices is on
a good concept. not new, but good. the only problem is the steel plates as electrodes. they WILL oxidise away with time, and very soon, since the plates are thin and have a large surface area. to prevent this problem, a non oxidising electrode should be used, like graphite. it will be hard to source thin graphite plates, but they will hold against the oxidation. there was no point in using distilled water, after adding salt to it.
I do see where your coming from but graphite will turn into a powder as the gas forms. In the industry they use MMO plates or mixed metal oxide plates.
So you'll be making chlorine gas as well as the hho gas using salt as the electrolyte, try bicarb soda instead
Oh use copper or brass wool instead of stainless wool inside as a flashback arrestor. Works soo much better
Cool
There is one solution i was already thinking for this problem , get a mini air pump and have it on going into the gas maker at the top so it just mixes with the hho before going to the torch tip hole, it should turn it from a imploding gas to expl has, no risk of flash back , and flashback arrestors do exist aswell
