there were 3 songs for me... First was in 2002, I was 11. In my country karaoke machines were very common pretty much everywhere at that time. I just was chilling around the corner because I was waiting for my mom. Then someone played a live performance of Mariah's "Love takes time" live 1993 Thanksgiving special and that was it. I was like captivated by the beauty of her tone and her range, and mesmerized by her Natural beauty.... I was really amazed and kept asking myself like "Who is she???!"😲, I couldn't believe how someone can have so beautiful voice and gorgeous face at the same time?!...

I love how Mariah manipulates the textures of her voice to fit with the background vocals and especially when she changed notes to do DEEP here!!! This is definitely my favourite performance of the song!!!
You should check out her performance of If It's Over at SNL it's magnificent because it's arrangement is so different than the Grammy's and her background vocalists were looking shook at her climax😂in anticipation!! Not sure if you've seen it before.

THANK YOU! That If It's Over is definitely next on my list for her, ironically I settled on that it was either going to be that or the Oprah performance of it but I knew for a fact it'd be that song, that album/era holds a Really special place for me, and that song's 1 of them. I think I've only seen/heard the Unplugged live performance of it & that LEGENDARY Grammy performance, so yea you just sealed the deal that it'll be SNL. Back to what you said too, I agree like 200% cause that's part of the magic of her & other singers I love, singers who are passionate about those background notes & harmonies & inflections etc. Thanks for Sharing!

I love that that's what got you, that's my mom's favorite Mariah song too (and it's for the lyrics too), I'll definitely consider it, but I gotta warn you that since I already did a Can't Let Go that might be a Patreon exclusive, that's what Im gonna start doing for songs I already have up publically, privately I'll do like all the versions lol, but Im still thinking about it, I liked the Top Of the Pops one I have up, but I've heard her do it better though so I might go ahead & do the SNL one & make the top of the pop's one a exclusive, we gon see lol, but that's 1 of my most favorite songs in the world, & I don't think I've seen that performance so I will definitely consider it & I'll give you a shout out if I do it.
