Thats the type of park I would just hangout at for the day and chill…..Reminds me of Sea world Orlando kind of vibe Great vlog also.. Keep them coming 👍😁💪🏾
I like your style of content! I watch a few theme park TH-camrs. You have a genuineness that is refreshing. Your editing is good. Hope you go big. I hope to make it to Michigan's Adventure this year. Cedar Point is my home park.
I appreciate it! I have a followup video coming up this week, I wound up getting on all the other coasters I missed. Definitely worth a visit as long as you have realistic expectations!
I think you’re the ones I mentioned at 9:01 if I’m not mistaken! Saw you recording a quick thing for your video. Definitely get back to try Timbers and Wildcat, they’re both running great this year. I’ll have a video covering that later today or tomorrow!
@@MidcourseDiscourse Ah, I think I remember seeing you now. We did go back the next Saturday and got plenty of Timbers and Wildcat in. Timbers felt a lot smoother to me.Cheers!
Thanks! I shoot on a Sony FX30, primarily with the Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 lens, occasionally my Sony 70-200mm f4. There are some shots that I took on a digital camcorder I grabbed on eBay, I believe it’s the Samsung SC-MX20.
Yeah Wolverine Wildcat is definitely a weird name. Its just two different animal names put together, they should have named it “Wolverine” OR “Wildcat”. I feel like the original name was supposed to be just “Wildcat”, but they wanted to theme it to Michigan somehow so they just randomly threw in “Wolverine” for the UofM wolverine’s. Or maybe they originally wanted to name it “wolverine” but didnt want to get sued by Marvel so they added the “Wildcat”
4 years? Wow man... I mean, at least try and hit your home park a couple times a season. I might be saying this as someone who has Cedar Point as his home park, and Kings Island home #2, but I also really like the smaller parks. We go to Waldameer every year, Knobels every couple, and would love to get up to Michigan's Adventure someday. I mean.... Shivering Timbers alone would be worth the trip. I remember the SLC as Mind Eraser. The whole Geauga Lake closing thing was more than just CF buying it to close it. Six Flags built that park up way too big, WAY too fast. Little Aurora, Ohio didnt have anything near the infrastructure to support that. Geauga Lake was a Michigan's Adventure type park. It was a great park, and i really miss it. Then Six Flags thought they could compete with Cedar Point with it. The park was actualle amazing. Six Flags management however, was not. If Six Flags never bought Geauga Lake, it would still be there. Being that lower tier park, possibly maybe even a Sea World park. Idk. Sorry, this was sure a long rant that went off in the weeds. Sorry, but im gonna post it anyways.
No that’s absolutely fair - I do love the park. The last several years there’s been other factors like finishing up school out of state, only being able to go to one or two parks in a season (I’d usually prioritize Cedar Point over MiAdv). I’ve already gone twice this season and I’m planning on going a lot more before the year is over. Definitely make a trip, the park seems to be on top of things this year (Timbers and Wildcat are running great, I have a video on that later this week). But yeah, Geauga Lake is super interesting to me, it genuinely looked like a top 3 park in the world at the time. It’s too bad how poor planning led to its demise. At the very least I think it’s cool that little pieces of it can be experienced at other parks in the country.
I live 6 hours away but I try to hit this park up twice a year. Early season ops are kind of painful, they never seem to have both trains on the track on Timbers until July. Speaking of, did you happen to see if they had both trains on? You will have to come back as WWC's retrack made it the 2nd best ride in the park. They only had that first part after the turnaround retracked last year and that part delivered immensely like a little Mystic Timbers.
I didn’t see if the second was on the track, but I’d assume it was because the train was parked at the base of the lift. I’m definitely excited to get to the park again tomorrow to hopefully give WWC a try!
Cedar Fair/Six Flags needs to either put some good money into this park, or just sell it off. It's a shame that they haven't gotten a new roller coaster, in many, many years. They will never be competition for Cedar Point, so I don't see the harm in them putting some effort into making this a better park.
Exactly, MiAdv is not even remotely comparable to Cedar Point. Even if they built three solid coasters, it wouldn’t be stopping anyone from visiting Ohio.
I mean, it is a shame that there isn't really any large scale capital going into the park, but I highly doubt CP has anything to do with it. You're far enough away that, for lack of a better term, you don't matter. Let's be honest, Kings Island is closer, and has gotten way more. I do think that CF should have at least thrown you guys a family coaster. Maybe one more thrill coaster in 20 years. Thing us, those parks have their niche, and they must operate profitable for the parent company, or they would either do something like add a ride, or sell the park. Those small parks are important too though, and the people in charge, keeping people coming back year after year, with nothing new and exciting, should get a raise.
@Spike-sk7ql I'm in Ohio, and I want to go to Michigan Adventures, but I'm not sure is Shivering Timbers is enough to get me there. Everything else seems so lackluster. It will be interesting to see what the Cedar Fair/Six Flags merger will bring, to this park. Maybe, it will bring some much needed attention. Or, it may be sold off. We'll see.
@@MidcourseDiscourseLol You understand me!! I’ve always said adding more rides at Michigans adventure wouldn’t take away from cedar point or kings island visitors lol.
A little bit, the nice thing is I just set the camera on a bench or trash can, so it’s not as prominent as a tripod. Then if I’m sitting on a bench, (I hope) it just looks like I’m on the phone or something 😂 I try not to think too hard about how it looks, and try to find slightly less busy areas.

Awesome video! Love the style. It sucks that so many coasters aren't open, but that's just part of the gamble and part of being an enthusiast 😆
Totally, I’m excited to get back tomorrow to see if the others are open!
