Huh finally.i waited from 8pm last night.
Tq for the review. You guys are actually the only "100% legit car reviewers in Malaysia" .The rest is like 50% reviewer 50% sales man.
I'll give an example, everyone from paultan etc just raves about the spec on paper of 250hp of the 2 liter turbo. As if all 250hp engine drives the same lol
U guys are the only one who mentions about the jerkiness and the non smoothness of the engine.
All in all. 5 star review Bo and Subash.

One small feedback, please opt for a good camera. Cant really see in those low contrast/dark areas. But the reviews you guys give are outstanding. Enjoyed everything you guys shared on the review. Understand where you guys coming from. If Proton just cut the BS about the difficulty to get Apple Carplay / Android Auto on its cars, I'd lean on the X90. But until Proton just get their game together implementing better on specs on the tech, I'm actually casting my vote on the Tiggo. Granted, the front seats feels small for me to be honest. But spec wise..Tiggo.
I am still pissed off with all the BS Proton tells the masses why they cant get AC/AA.

I got my T8 in early November. it's like you mentioned when driving in the city it's not smoother, but it's very enjoyable once you get on the highway😎 There are two reasons why I chose T8: 1st is Apple car-play, which is the minimum requirement for buying a car in 2023. Second, this price point gets the 2.0T engine. another thing is I drive it by myself most of the time, so I rarely use the third row of seats. your review is great and true 👍

Even the reviewers says they select X90 over the Tiggo and it’s a 2-0 score.. if you’re just looking at power, you bought the wrong car.. even a BYD will be better bet. That lousy Chery gearbox going to fall apart soon anyway and resale price is guaranteed to be extremely bad.. suck it up for 10years at least..

@@MC-zv3ri You do know that the geely CVT gearbox was Cherry's right?
BYD better bet with its suspension that's more spongy and will throw you sideway during cornering, not to mention its high burn rate battery. LMFAO.
There'a reason why chery exported 100K car (highest among the chinese brand) to worldwide every month, and not geely or even byd.

    • @MC-zv3ri
      @MC-zv3ri 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

That’s why geely dont use chery garbage CVT here in malaysia. Chery had to rely on export and focus on export because their local market don’t want them. Get your facts right and sad you bought or selling a crappy brand. Looks good on paper and people like you only talk about power like a child.. overall package, tiggo simply lost.. if you thin X90 is crap, then tiggo lost to some crap..

Thanks for the review, i just done my order x90 today. Was actually went to both Chery and Proton Showroom tested both car before decide which to purchase. In my opinion, T8 is way too small for the family car especially for the family who need the 3rd row, its very very uncomfortable compared to x90. (Even worst than alza or Veloz). Other than that, i have no complaint about the T8 pro. Here is my conclusion, if you have a small family (3-4.5) go for T7 pro (T8 pro if you need a bigger space), for big family (5-7), x90 is the better option. They both are very good for the value, good job proton and chery.

I'm old enough to remember the 1970s when Japanese cars were not only considered inferior to continental cars, but were also considered death traps. Cars such as the Datsun 120Y had panels so thin that as a child, I could easily push in the panel side with a finger. The quality of Japanese cars were so bad then that there was an urban myth that Japanese car panels were made from Milo tin! But they were much cheaper than continental cars and quickly overtook them as the vehicles of choice for Malaysians. Fast forward some decades, and Japanese cars are now considered much superior to continental cars in terms of engineering and reliability. And they have been the consistently top sales charts in the USA in terms of volume sold, reliability, safety, and resale value.
Korean cars in the 1990s were similarly as bad as the early Japanese cars, their only saving grace being their cheaper price. Yet, Korean cars now have evolved and are much superior, and seriously competing with Japanese cars in every aspect. China cars are similarly on the same product development period. However, I have noticed that they are evolving faster to better cars than Japanese and Korean cars were. I suspect this is due to them buying over Western manufacturers and adopting their technology and intellectual property, as well as the billion population in China which gives them a very lucrative market to sell to and experiment with.

collecting my T8P next week. for me the X90 just don't work as we're upgrading from a 2.5T CX-5. so the replacement has to look good and similarly powerful. and for a family of 5 with 11 years, 8 years & 6 months old kids, it's perfect. second row for the baby & eldest. 3rd row for the 8 years old boy. the other seat pushed down for cargo.
we don't need to carry many people but we just need utmost comfort & joy for everybody, including the driver, hence luxo barge MPVs are never an option 😉

@@Autophiles changing not due to fault of the car, but due to needing more space. it has some downsides though e.g. 'floaty' feeling on high speed sweeping corners on stock wheels and tyres (not just me complaining about this), fuel consumption is quite bad, rather slow gearbox and not enough ratio (my other car has 8 speed ZF though, so maybe i expected too much), ride also rather harsh even compared to a BMW F30 330i, interior space is usual mazda, a bit on the smaller side
but powerful and all wheel drive does have advantage in certain situations
anyway on the Tiggo 8 Pro, when i got the car, also felt that strong jerk when moving off, but with auto hold turned off, the car creeps forward and behave more like a conventional autobox
