Curious what your top 10 Spiele non-winning nominees are?
Great list! Thank you for sharing your thoughts. One little thing I noticed is that when you talk about Kingdomino, the graphic showing the name says “Kindomino” rather than “Kingdomino”.
Dominion would have to be my #1, but my top 10 would probably include Tikal and Torres rather than Camel Up and El Grande.
Kingdom Builder is the first game I played with you.
Tzolkin is still holding strong in our collection which is amazing for being over 10 years old
Living Forest is an underrated award gem.

Kingdom Builder respect, finally
I bought a second copy of Kingdomino. Now, 4 players can build a 7x7 grid. I drew a line across one set of tile edges with a marker, top and bottom. If a table is really small, 4 players can still play 5x5.

El Grande is an area majority game *not* an area control game

@@dandurkin9735 It's not really. It mis-characterizes the game play. Multiple players can occupy the same province. If a player wants to be present in a province, they don't have to eliminate the other players present. The decision-making is all about how much influence you want to have in each territory, and how to reduce the influence of other players. It set the standard for area majority games.
