    The best thing about this is that all of us as viewers take his words in this video to be the truth, just because _we_ can’t be bothered to do research on our own either.
    If Lemmino made up every single thing in this video, none of us would even know or notice it without extensive research ourselves. And yet almost no one in the comment sections even considers it a possibility - we just go along with everything he says.

      An article linked on that site, called “False Authority” is a good read as well and may go to show how we all are not willing to fully fact check the information in front of us, even when purporting that the audience should be skeptical of authoritative assertions, lest there is proper incentive. Made clear by my willingness to scroll by other articles linked because I don’t want to spend my time fact-checking those things, which I think is okay. It’s when one takes the ‘facts’ they come across with links(or not) for truth without finding sources for the info, their sources and so on until you witness undeniable evidence, a primary source for yourself, or scientific proof that is a fault. Trust yourself and no one else. We are often sly creatures that garner credibility(for our own social comfort) and slip in misinformation when the time is right.

    The best thing is that we cannot actually prove this video right unless we literally make what he did. It could perfectly be another hoax.

    • @armynyus9123
      @armynyus9123 5 ปีที่แล้ว +321

      I'm at a point where I realize that proving something right is not possibly at all, since there is no objective 'right' . So yes, we could try prove his video is wrong - but we cannot prove that it is right. The process of proving something wrong is called falsification and it works by bringing statements into contradiction with other statements and/or measurements.
      And this is what the Internet is really good for, since a falsification does not require any credibility by the falsifier. You can read it, check the given sources and there you go.
      Accepting that changed my worldview to a great extent, e.g. about history and such things.

    • @Megasterik
      @Megasterik 5 ปีที่แล้ว +24

      @@oom-3262 The simple logic is that if the hoax presented in the video are actual hoaxes then the video cannot be a hoax and if the video a is hoax, then the hoax presented in it cannot be a hoax since video can only be a hoax if it's content are not a hoax given that the video's premise was about the hoax. If person A says that person B is lying then person C saying "person A could be lying as well" doesn't make sense because logically, only one of them can be lying despite even if either of their sentences holds some truth in them. Hence, saying "another hoax" doesn't make sense.
      Video can't be a hoax if it hold truth in it although the parts of the video which are hoax will surely be a hoax.
      1) If you say a hoax could contain truth in it but still remains a hoax: If Snopes actually did an article as a hoax, will you say the article is a hoax or Snopes as a whole is a hoax even if Snopes have other truthful articles?
      2) If you say a hoax could contain truth in it and because of that truth, it cannot be a hoax: The hoax shown in the video did hold some truth in it, the anagram in the name "LISA BIRGIT HOLST" was an anagram for "THIS IS A BIG TROLL" could be considered as a truth in the hoax itself and the hoax shouldn't actually be considered as a hoax. Coincidentally, it would make the video a hoax in a manner and in this case as well, "another hoax" would be illogical.

      Rai Rashmi now i’m not challenging what you are saying but i’m just asking or clarifying.
      In the phylum ‘arthropoda’ there are 4 sub divisions. I’ll only discuss two here, Chelicerate governing spiders or arachnids among others.
      The other being hexapoda governing insects among others.
      So is it incorrect to say: Whilst Spiders and Insects are both considered arthropods an insect is not an arachnid and vice versa?
      Edit: so essentially he did not have to correct himself here. As he is not false in proclaiming spiders are arthropods

For the last few years by a few people I got used as a scapegoat for their psychological issues in a fallout, so I donned a mask of everything they were claiming to be to function as a living mirror for them to troll them as they then were like "LOOK I TOLD YOU SO!" about it and their own lies, not realizing they were just essentially looking in a mirror and I was uno reversing them. Circular reporting in a different sense. Thank you for this splendid cosmic giggle today.

    • @richardmorris8902
      @richardmorris8902 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@enclave2k1 Of course. I'm a journalist..........
      I could. As I said before, there's a lot of examples out there. But given the already argumentative way you just replied; I'd have to assume you disagree that news has devolved into propagandistic, rhetoric-filled nonsense that is largely circularly researched and has lost any interest in what the "truth" may be. If that's the case, then nothing I say will change your mind. I don't claim to know "the truth". I even admit to the "rabbit hole nature" of investigating this stuff.
      I CAN, however, claim that "the news doesn't report on all the facts and let the reader or viewer draw their own conclusions". Instead, opting to repeat what someone on twitter said or what a website posted or whatever the "narrative du jour" might be. It's pretty obvious with even the basest of google searches. I would absolutely LOVE to bring these things to light.....
      However, I really don't think any examples I give would accepted by you as evidence and you simply replied as a way to get in to it with me. You want me to give examples so you can make remarks implying you know so much more than anyone else and how silly I am to doubt the press. Your reply comes across this way.......as someone who's just trying to be argumentative and if so, I'm not taking your bait. If it's not the case, then you need to work on your communication skills because, frankly, you come across like a prick.
      If you really care about examples, then simply start researching the headlines you read. Start looking at sources. Do some research, actual research (as in checking out what is being said on BOTH sides and investigating the info each side has). It's not my place to tell you how to think.
      And BTW, did the thought ever cross your mind that I left examples off because I want him to cover what he wants? That I recognize that a news story I find interesting may not be the same one HE does? Again, likely not. You don't strike me as particularly contemplative.
      In any case, say what you will. I'm done. Enjoy your bliss and the source you get it from.
