Sister Vivian and Sis Scholar....you both are a blessing. I have been enjoying this channel since I found it. I will be moving soon, what agency are you saying we should register with it?
Thank you 🥰, there are agencies in the UK that give out locum jobs to those already in the UK. So when you get your pin you can register with one of these agencies and pick extra shifts in other homes or hospitals when they are short staffed. These type of shifts also pay higher than the normal hourly rate. Some pay as high £30 to £40 per hour
@@ScholasticaUgboka I am considering going for a private job because of the pay. I have 2 offer from NHS which am still considering. So on the Cygnet page, I read that I won't be work with other with other agencies or trust except I take permission. Don't know what to do
@@esiwuadesanusi5374 some employers add that in their contract but that does not mean they will prevent you from taking agency shifts. It means they want to be informed if you plan to work in other places but just to be clear, you could send them an email now telling them your plans so you can get their response. Most agencies require at least 6 months work experience in the UK and References from your employer anyway

Thank you sis for this video, really insightful. Kindly advise a sis biko, am to be in the UK next month on student visa but just discovered am 3months gone😫 please what am I to do immediately I got to Cardiff Wales, when am I to register for antenatal and whatsnot. Thanks
Congratulations, when you go and register with a GP, inform them of your status. They will refer you to your community midwife and they will contact you.
Ouestion am nervous I started the process before I got pregnant I have pass my cbt and interview however deployment date is Feb 21 am due April 21, 2022. I have got family a place to stay my husbandnis coming along with me plus saving. How do I approach this situation. 🤔
Hi, congratulations first of all. If you are coming in February and due in April you might not get to resume work before you give birth and the stress of getting a GP, going into labour without proper antenatal planning, it might also be hard to get an airline that will bring you. Most of them have a limit. Probably 35 weeks or so, I'm not sure but do your findings well before you embark on this journey. If it's going to be too stressful on you then deliver your baby before travelling
hi i have a question my joining date is 23rd January and my due date is 28th May. I am already in uk for one year. But i am bit worried about my osce exam tham am i able to pass in this limited time. even though i have not informed at my hospital
Congratulations, you can pass your OSCE with enough preparations but try not to put too much stress on yourself. you should inform your employer now so they can tell you what your maternity benefits would be after you have your baby.
Pls does this SMP apply to all NHS trust or does it depend on a particular NHS policy Like I knew someone that work with NHS ,she started work in June 2021,and her expected date of delivery is May 2022 and the trust is saying she is not still eligible, but by calculation according to wat u said ,she has even worked 33wks,and still have 15weeks before her due date What can she do pls?
It might be possible if everything goes smoothly for you but in my opinion I think it’s better to have your baby before travelling so you will have support at home. If you have your baby here when you dont have enough savings for your maternity leave and you don’t have family over here things might be difficult
@@janeben751 yes, but it has to be just 10 days within the entire period. Those 10 shifts are called keeping in touch shifts and you have to be working with the agency before your pregnancy

Yes care homes pay for maternity leave too but the pay is not much unlike in the NHS. The govt allowance is only for those that don’t qualify for the maternity pay from their employer

You are not supposed to work during your maternity leave, if you start work that is not keeping in touch shifts then your maternity pay will stop
