I ended up buying the controller! It’s been like a week since I on the controller and I’m having no issues. Heck I even bought three of them. I even experimented testing light or tad movement on both control sticks using the Nintendo Switch controller testing feature and it registers great! I’m also getting another GameCube Controller, the OEM kind just to be sure if the controls are accurate or different as well- and to play smash.
Stick sensitivity, cord length were things I've had a lot of issues with when it comes to 3rd party GC controllers and you understand why this is important and mentioned both when other videos never mentioned it. Thank you!
Asking out of curiosity since it looks like you have knowledge of the internals of controllers, do you know if the shell of the XYAB controller can fit an OEM internals, or if their shells can be mixed with OEM shells? I love the colors of the XYAB controllers and would love to mix them with my OEM shells that I already have, if possible.
@@TheEazyDI Only difference I noticed was they used philips-head screws instead of tri-wing. Plastic's gonna feel a little cheaper but overall re-using shells shouldn't be a problem. You could use the buttons and sticks (not stickboxes but the plastic/rubber sticks-covers) as replacements too if need be.

I've found the xyab 3rd party controllers are the best I have used outside of the OEM controller.
Thanks for the review and recommendation, exceptionally useful compared to the others.
The xyab controller is good and all but you can literally click the entire d-pad and the sticks are kinda stiff
5:44 that's my shopping philosophy!
You could probably use start as a buffer between inputs on the madcatz controller so there's time between button presses
I just ordered one for my orange spice GameCube! I don’t like beating on the orange spice oem one. Would rather keep it in good shape
Hi! Sorry for the late comment. Great video. I got a question. Is the pelican gamecube controller compatible with the wii?
Any GameCube controller will work on a Wii as long as your Wii is one of the older models that has the GameCube controller ports.

@@MelonPumpkinhead Thanks so much for the timely response :)
Macros aren't tournament legal. You could di out of situations like getting grabbed in an instant, etc.
I have controller brands from cirifer on Amazon those are amazing but they all got sold out they were that good
I once had a third party Nintendo 64 controller that broke in 3 days!
so does the controller still work for you?
@@ColdHeartedBull1 Don't use it as much anymore but still works. Would still reccommemd the Pelican controller over it though.
Do they work on switch (with adapters of course)
