  • Award winning golf professional Keith Bennett visits The Kingdom at TaylorMade Golf in Carlsbad California and I am able to increase his yardage with driver by 43 yards!
If you are somewhat skeptical about club fitting then this weeks #tourtrucktuesday upload will blow your mind as to the importance of optimizing the technology available to you as a golfer.
In 2023 Keith was named one of Golf Digest’s “Best Young Coaches in America” so getting to meet him in person and dial in his Stealth 2 driver was great fun.
Driving distance is so important in todays game so why wouldn't you take the time to obtain a good Club Fitting? If the best players and teachers are doing it then so should you.

@@trottiegolf I know you could! I have struggled with my driver. It was either hot or cold no in-between. Played the other day with a friend and his daughter at his club. His daughter uses a Sim 2 max and tried all the new drivers and stuck with it. She plays competitively and can get what’s best for her game. Noticed my friend had a new driver, same as his daughters but with a stiff Ventus blue, her’s is regular flex Ventus Blue. On the range I noticed how well he was hitting it. I tried it and then tried to steal it! I bypassed a fitting, went home an ordered a duplicate. Boy has my game changed and I never looked back. His daughter who is 17 shot a 75 that day. With that sim 2 max driver and three wood she hit every par 5 in two! When we play together now, we look like poster children for Sim 2 max.

This is such a good video. My driver thought process is the exact same so watching this was nice. Low drives that peel right and never seeing the ball left made me think I can’t do it, but if I just go after it, the worse it gets is straight!

No matter your skill level it’s so beneficial to get fitted. I needed new clubs, and while I suck at golf I figured I’d get fitted since I was getting clubs either way. Complete game changer. Found I was using the wrong shaft flex, wrong grips, and needed to change the lie angle to 2 up on irons. I still can’t drive, chip, or putt, but I hit my irons so much better now.

Alot of similarities between this guy and Will Kropp in the launch, what you told them to work on, the low safe cute, they did not trust themselves or their equipment fully because they did not fully understand it and what they needed to do and they both gained length and struggled to miss left.

Trottie, with his driver attack angle being relatively level, would he benefit from having a little more shoulder tilt at address to encourage hitting up on the ball? I do think ball position, tee height and path are all important factors as well. Could be the camera angle, but his shoulders at setup with driver seemed too level with only a slight tilt from his right hand being lower on the club similar to using an iron. Any thoughts?

I really really need to get a full bag fitting. I’m playing the wrong iron’s, wrong shaft flex, and wrong length. I know I can get more yards with a newer driver and less spinning shaft. I have hit newer drivers consistently farther than mine and as straight. My hybrid has the wrong flex shaft as well. Love my 3 wood! Lol. My grips are too small. With all that nonsense, I’m still playing very good golf. But I wonder how much better it could be with the correct fit.
