I faced my first obvious cheater yesterday, a prestiged 100 Dwight who was speeding around, Insta healing everyone, blinding me from nothing and sabotaging hooks and basically everything a hacker can do, he committed to, I just played the game normally and had fun as dredge but it’s so disappointing, I shook my head at him lmao I knew right away something was fishy.
Fun fact: if you play dredge and a hacker tries to blind you and you can't do nothing about it, teleport to a locked locker and stay there so you're safe. They can't open it, only you can do it. I did this with 2 hackers with infinite flashbangs. They said "this killer is zzzzzzz"

Spot-recruiting a survivor as a bird dog midgame is one of the coolest things i've seen in dbd yet. Love it even more that you ended up having to kill him. Wonder if he ever fully understood what was happening.😆
I know this is old.. But this is bringing back some memories of facing a TON of lagg switchers in DBD.. I eventually got good at taking them down lol. I found out a few things that made it easier to tell where the person was when they where lagg switching... As semi proud as I am about learning how to take those players out.. Its sad that I even got to that point due to the amount of people who where using lagg switch at the time. ( Honestly in general I would rather face a lagg switcher than the other types of hacks I have encountered in this game.. They can actually be dealt with.. While other types of hacks really did make it impossible to kill said cheater/hacker. )

he was lagswitching, he runs in one direction, cuts the internet access to dbd, then goes roaming around the map and interacts with something and turns the connection back on, that will teleport him to the location where he interacted with something
this dude assuming many things , he just assume that's all he does cleansing totems to prevent noed , bla bla bla if he's a cheater other than clumsy user he could just tp to hatch within 1 sec so cringe to watch someone just keep assuming things without proof
@Pedro Actually an exploit is taking something that is inherent to the game itself, and using it in an unintentional manner, lag switching is cheating due to you using outside sources that are not inherent to the game to gain an advantage

I was the Yui in this game playing via console on crossplay for survivor bonuses. Love playing w/ PC friends but this is precisely why I only really play on console nowadays (though they are lagswitching there now too.) One of my PSN friends sent me this link and here I was thinking there was no way I was in Coconut's lobby considering all I know how to do is hold forward and flashbang. Was wondering why the hell no gens were getting this done this game. Hilarious. Great on you for not taking any of this serious!

I remember once my Sister and I were playing against a Trickster and there was this Dwight on our team who was wearing an exclusive that *nobody* can get anymore (Some yellow shirt I can't remember the name of) One of our members got sacrifices and my Sister and I were slugged but the Dwight had been increasing his speed just by a little bit it was still very noticeable (The Trickster later on went to say it felt like he had walls on as well as the Dwight was easily able to anticipate where he was going) The Dwight picked us up and a little while after that I managed to trap him in some bushes after he cleansed a totem. I waited until the Trickster arrived and let him down and hook the Dwight and we all made fun of him at the hook. The Trickster happily let us go after.
I once had a similar experience with a hacker. It was on Ormomd and I was playing as Pyramid head. I think the other three were his friends, but if they weren’t, they didn’t care and did all they could to bother me when I had one of them downed. But I got him downed and tormented. He started crawling even faster than I could walk, but he would stop to taunt me with a potential grab before moving. But one of his taunts let me get too close and I sent him to a cage, so he couldn’t free himself. He disconnected seconds afterwards and I killed the rest.

So after a long game of trying to figure out how to kill them, the lagswitcher just dc'd. Never felt so proud. Don't worry, the other survivor was rightfully given hatch.

Similar story, but not a cheater, just someone who spent 100% of the game urban evasion and not unhooking. I have kindred and aftercare (cause I likes them) and they had been injured only once and I healed them, so I had vision of them. It was like 3 gens left and 2 of us survivors. I found killer and pointed / come here and lead killer to him. Felt so good. I do NOT work with killers, but I will when it comes to that kind of survivor. I've only done something like that maybe 4 times and I've played DbD since like month 3.
I just got into DBD a little while ago. First match was a teleporting Ghost Face that killed all of us (of course). But the match didn't actually count so that's something I guess.
I've ran into this "MrsJiWoonHak" and have reported them for the same thing. It's sad that cheaters can just buy new accounts and continue to do the same thing repeatedly, even under the same names.
I was looking on the net for some cd keys to buy and then found one site where you could buy a lag switch for 3 cents. You can also buy a full account upgrade just for 5 bucks (every legacy item, all characters unlocked with all cosmetics etc.)
Dwight did all he could for us, what a hero. His death was not tragedy, but ultimately mercy from the cruel match the cheater had forced him into
