I love the simple gardens with two or three types of bushes and trees done in a uniform pattern in odd numbers. Then I get emails from plant sellers and fall in love with everything and end up with 76 different plants and eyeing off the neighbour's garden to expand into. 😂
Lol! Yep, been there done that! I’m going to redo my front landscaping this year for that simple reason.

Great great idea!! If you could also consider doing videos on plant finds and buys in local big box stores. For example Costco starting at the end of March has really good plant sales. Went there today 4/22/24 and they had new stock. The green velvet boxwoods and compact hollys are only $21-$24 for the gallon size planter container. The thuja giants $24, azaleas $19, sky pencils $24 etc.

The 90's movies references really speak to me, love it. Boxwoods and hydrangeas are a classic look for almost any house and I've definitely implemented the look at my own house. Thanks to your videos, I've also focused on texture and have a new found love for incorporating grasses that really take things up a notch. Thank you!

That design software you use looks killer! I'd love to have that for a day, just to fool around with, try out ideas, etc. I'd still have a pro like you come out and do the install, but I'd like to get all the dumb and crazy ideas out of my system first.

Layering is one of my favorite like tricks I use to make a bed pop. It's so simple yet many of us don't know about it, including myself. I just discovered it a few months ago and now I use it all the time. :)

This is my second year of landscaping and I am learning so much more about prices that it is very difficult to give the exact price. These applications that you use are paid per month or per year. I have a client who wants me to design a small garden.
Pricing comes with asking those who have the experience. You install enough jobs at the wrong price and you learn pretty quick what not to charge.

I started a small landscaping biz in 2020 in michigan. Just bought realtime landscape pro this season. I love the photo editor app ! Its so easy to use for a newbie. Michigan is an interesting place to do landscape

Thank you for reminding gardeners to bring the landscaping out away from their homes! Landscaping should invite you in and draw you around the property. Also, white in the plantings is highly underrated for it calming effect. Great video ❤

Got a small house a Hugh shed on a lot and a half with a lot of weeds. Stripped the weeds and racked off the weed seed blanket. Was about a total volume equal to 12 of those community trash containers or 48 of those street trash containers. Basically 10 years of collected weeds and dirt build up of in unattended wild yard growth. That was the first year. Second year was grass. Cool grasses in the back with wind breaks from the shed, house, and alley with one side open to a west wind. The front yard was warm grass, Bermuda, buffalo, and St Augusta’s. The also learned that you do not have to plant only grass. (This is my first yard). Third year (now) I have started a couple of gardens put in a walkway this last winter and started a water thingy. So to the point I like some of the ideas you have but really thankful to watching your planing process. I don’t have that type of software but will be looking for some. For now grid sheets and a fat pencil with an eraser seems to be this evenings project. Thanks MH ps thanks for all the fish

Love your channel and learned so much. This year tackling my backyard. Already have 4 trees that are 20 years old. Have 2 hellebore gardens with about 20 in each. There are already some hydrangeas and a few other small plants. Now to use your idea of repetition and add some green shrubs, hostas and coneflowers, maybe some small ferns around hellebores. I love your videos
