Xerascaping (spelling?) should take hold all over the Southern U.S. at least, just to save money for water costs!

All three are beautiful, but who has that kind of money anymore? Pls provide ideas for single parent homes on single parent budget.
As far as backyard renovations, these are some good options but I will try and show some more options for those single moms and dads soon.❤️
Shoot, we're on double income single kid with no pets in central Indiana (low cost of living) and I couldn't imagine being able to spend that kind of money without financing.
@@Triflixfilms I understand BUT refinancing is truly a great alternative. Puts $ in the account and only a couple hundred on the mortgage. YOLO!
@@BobbyKDesigns Respectfully, I grew up with split house holds. One set of parents was in debt that refinanced cars and house to pay for home remodeling and the other set of parents lived in their means and saved up enough to hire it out (or do it themselves if they wanted it sooner). Anecdotally I've learned the more loans people have and live beyond their means, the more stressed trying to 'keep up with the Jones'. If you want something bad enough you'll save up for it.
Now when it comes to needs, that's a different story. Sometimes rent/leasing/medical/college is too high and a mortgage/car payment/med/school loan is actually cheaper or needed.
The people that sold us our house bought it for $75k in 2015 and sold it for $150k in 2022. $135k went to their mortgage, credit card debts, home repair loans and clothing store lines of credit. They were divorcing and now have $7000 each, that's barely enough for car down payment anymore.
YOLO and keeping up with the Jones is destroying a lot of people's lives.
I would like to more landscaping not hardscaping like decks and pavers.

@@BobbyKDesigns Number One is probably My Personal favorite, But doing work for My Clients would push me towards number two, So i would work more with the flagstone walkway and the sod and Small trees and a flowerbed to try to keep costs down. Thanks Brother!
Bobby, I like all these backyard design ideas, simple on a budget. #3 is my favorite, linear shape and cool neutral colors, with the lighter patio pad border that ties in well with the house colors.

What is decomposed granite? Is it like granite countertop scrap? (I'm personally fond of utilizing scrap granite)
No. It’s crushed rock.
I got a question, My front yard slopes up and to get to the backyard that same slope is level for a few feet and then slopes down to the backyard. I'm just learning about transitions so I had the idea of making a doorway with a 5 by 8 gazebo. What do you think?
I’m not sure. Difficult to give advice without seeing the space.
In your community did you have to get permits to lay pavers or/and pergola even though they don't attach to home?
Anything above 2’ for retaining walls, any structure (fireplace, gazebo, etc), any driveway. Other than that, no pavers for hardscaping that I can think of off the top of my head.
I looked up the budget friendly pavers am I reading the price correctly?

No. Budget friendly should be $25-$30 per sq ft depending on where you live.
No wrong. I haven't seen any pavers cost that much per sqft. Budget friendly can probably get $8 per sqft.

Cost per square foot on most pavers will range from $4.50-$7.50. *JUST the pavers
Nobody has the same bid... you can't say this is what it'll cost cause pavers down south is different price then pavers Midwest or west. Prices different in every area which affects cost everywhere.
They absolutely can be different based on the skill of the company installing, the location, and the materials selected. That’s why I have a range and shared what these specific projects cost.
