Comparing one band to another is ridiculous unless you're referring to a cover band... Learn to appreciate Wilco as one of the greatest bands of American music rather than saying they're "like radiohead". They're Wilco.
they're like radiohead in the sense that Radiohead are a brit pop band with an avant-garde twist and Wilco are a folk band with an avant-garde twist. The comparision is going to be unavoidable. By the way Radiohead are way more interesting band, wilco are just an "ok band"
Weird when this was originally broadcast I saw it, and the live stream didn't edit out any songs here in the U.S.. Thanks for posting though, as I'd rather have something than nothing & this was/is a totally great performance!!!
Rolling Stone magazine has called My Morning Jacket the "American Radiohead." Whilst that comparison might be marginally more accurate, it's still off-base. I'm about to see Wilco and My Morning Jacket in a few hours with Bob Dylan of course, and I couldn't think of two better bands to accompany Mr. Dylan. What makes both of these bands impervious to comparison may not be easily defined, but I like to think it's their individual and original talents, and the people they inspire effectively.
The soundboard guy obviously hadn't heard of Wilco before, he's always too late to turn up Nels' guitar or Pat's and John's backing vocals in the mix. I would have expected Wilco to have their own sound guy ... maybe that's an extra mix for the TV broadcast.
+Your Careless Spark good point, it likely has to do with this being a TV broadcast. A lot of this mix seems different from actual Wilco. Tweedy's vocals are up very high.
This is the PAL Euro version when Broadcast in Europe I believe it was edited. The info on this is a tag along from the source not mine and I didn't stream it I ripped it down
Ive heard them called the US Radiohead, but I think radiohead's a bit more alternative and abstract, but both bands are amazing...wilco has more acoustic stuff
Too big a comparison. Wilco produced two great albums in '98 and '02 and have more or less lived off YHFs steadily growing reputation since then. Their newer albums are mildly or highly over-rated, while Radiohead's entire back-catalogue is absolutely awe-inspiring.
This was an amazing show. They played so well. I love the synth parts, they really shine through in this mix.
dear lord "one wing" and "side with the seeds" are amazing. who am i kidding, this entire set is outstanding!!
There is no other band that sounds like wilco
I love Wilco because they sound like a forever continuation of The Replacements - All Shook Down.
It is a crime that Radio Cure, Hummingbird and The Late Greats were not broadcasted.
this is GREAT! thank you for this!!
cant get enough of this band man not heard of the great wilco for long fucking loving them
Wilco was awesome! My memory has some foggy spots from the three days but it was hella fun! Cheers.

I agree Wilco is one of america's great bands of all time. To me they are the greatest. Tweedy is a legend
Who are Radiohead?

Both bands defy comparison. They are unique. Not to say they don't have influences but they are iconic... So they are very much alike in that respect
how does this not even have 8,000 views?
27 oktober 2016 Wilco live in Anciene Belgique. Heb kaarten. Kan bijna niet wachten!
enjoy! just saw them last month in the States
después de haber edcuchado varios discos por fin entiendo lo buena que es esta banda.
I was there in front row and it was AMAZING !!!
Glen is a BEAST!!!!!!

Saw this tour. It was great. Don't justify these people who don't understand with responses. you either hear it or you don't.
Wow! Nels Cline is on fire!
Nothing low about that 😎

Shut up and enjoy the genius band's music that is Wilco.
This mix isn't doing Mike's keyboard parts any favors either. Still love the songs.
Damn I wish I was there...
One Wing is so sick here

I'd say TV on the Radio is as close as you're gonna get to a US Radiohead.
maybe not musically directly like Radiohead in the US but more spiritually. as relevant as. etc.
Poorly edited footage, but the songs are great. Go Wilco.

Music for frail NPR listeners.
Comparing one band to another unless you're referring to another band is ridiculously

I agree with the ones who brought it up...the soundboard person sucks on this one!
not HD

Counterpoint: Radiohead sucks.
That's a matter of taste
Total rubbish........ sorry, I meant fucking brilliant!!
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Jay>Jeff
jay > nels
Pompous asshat who couldn't see past his massive ego or a great guitarist Nels?
Damn, that's a though choice, isn't it?
Seeds. Showstopper.
Literally. As in no one gives AF. Nels kinda made up for it at the end, but it’s a really boring song.
Glen is a BEAST!!!!!!
