Just bought one of these awnings from one of your distributors. Would the 2000 series mounting brackets from Front runner work with this? I have a Front runner slimeline 2 rack but their batwing brackets space the awning up higher than I'd like. It's going on a Lexus GX460 with the rear barn door so no issues with clearance in the rear.
Thanks for the detail setup Paul, will this fit a Gen4 4runner, I’m concerned about the awning interfering with the rear hatch when open on the 4runner
270 awnings will generally interfere with SUVs that have liftgates. Especially 4Runners with a spoiler on the liftgate. WE would suggest the 180* awnings or you will have to elevate the mounting brackets for the 270 above the spoiler which tends to look out of place. Hope that helps!
Hi there, you are correct, weather damage is not covered under warranty. It's always suggested that awnings are staked or secured when there is potential for wind. Rogue gusts cannot be forecasted so it's best to secure freestanding awnings when there is wind. Did you purchase this awning from Equipt, or one of our dealers? Most parts are serviceable and we stock most needed parts for repair. Reach out for assistance, no reason to throw away an awning that can be repaired! sales@equipt1.com

@@Equipt1thanks, I think the Swift is probably my best option.
We're all big fans of the Swift, one of the easiest awnings to set up on the market.@@kbird529
My 270 snapped first use form a not so strong gust of wind. Apparently warranty doesn’t cover so $1000 going in the bin
