If you want this to be super sturdy, i've used through and through M8 bolts with washers from the inside of the roof on my car on the pillars with locking nuts and fully sealed with seam sealer. I went through two custom roof racks and never had a single flex even with me jumping on it. Most people won't like making holes like those on their roof but if you want this to never fail even if you put another car on top of it you should consider it.
@@JRCadventures revit not good design with wind and as well as weight if u hve 50kg. But also depends the functionability of ur rack....great presentation cheers

Hey John, thats a great way to do it and fully agree its probably the best. Takes alot more time, but means you are doing it the right way.
Do you remember the measurement of the mounting brackets that fit onto the backbone?
Unreal!
The wind noise is too loud on the Highway.
I haven’t found it to be bad at all
I like it
Thanks
On the hilux looks quite ok. I saw an MuX today and it looked terrible, like it was way too high off the top and like a cow on stilts
Yeah I've seen some that are terrible. But im happy with how this sits
Is this a full video for this? And an update on how it’s been since initial install.
I should do a full YT video on it and my thoughts. Stay tuned!
Don’t use pop rivets the work lose rust your vehicle and whole rack blows off
They are alloy pos so they won't rust.
No they dont, mine are 10 years old and not 1 problem!
lol cross bars are running north/south…. Cross bars are supposed to run east/west….
How’s the wind noice over 70mph?
Hey Andy - I honestly haven't noticed it. It's been the reverse for me. I notice it when Im going under 20k. Very odd
No noise on the highway 😂😂😂
I actually haven't gotten any yet.
Do you know the measurement of how tall it sits from your roof?
Hey Clay - its about 8cm added to the height. Have to really be careful when going into shopping centres.
@@JRCadventures perfect thanks
Rivet is not as good quality in strength and integrity specially thats aluminum revit
I guess we will soon see :L

Hey Luke - yes it does. Mine came with the kit when I purchased it
@@JRCadventures legend. Where did you get ur kit from?
@@lukehallo8256 - I got mine direct from the Rhino rack website
