In Poland, all children get a visit from St Nicolas on 6th Dec, who usually leaves small gifts in their shoes. We call him, Święty Mikołaj and that day is called Mikołajki.
Also prevalent in German culture. My grandmother "Oma" observed St. Nickolas day on the 6th and my brother and I would leave out a shoe and receive small gifts. A lovely tradition!
Also in Slovenia, Dec. 6th. But we also have "Christmass man" which is this american capitalistic Santa on Christmass, and we have "Grampa Cold" for new years which is communistic good old man bringing gifts.
@@elizabethv_royalsfan have no idea who Jack Frost is 🤭 I made a simple translation of Dedek Mraz; the word dedek means grandfather and the word mraz means cold.
Thank you Dr Taylor Marshall for all that you do to teach everyone about the faith! May you and your precious family have a beautiful Christmas! God bless you all!!
I was born of a Catholic traditional values. Always had that in my heart. Never converted,, but up until now I have gotten my feet wet again and started to see the wonders and miracles have shown me to believe of the one true Catholic church. Blessed are you for your knowledge and Merry Christmas to you and yours 🙏📿❤️🌲
This was a wonderful lesson! Each year when I design my Christmas letter (a web page), I choose a religious image. This year I chose some key saints of December. Your fireside backdrop was great. You should use it for the fall/winter season because it made me pay attention to you. Happy Advent and Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Thank you for everything Dr Taylor Marshall! I hope one day you can produce all these amazing teaching videos in Spanish. So much good would come to pass these teaching down to Latinos
I’m a professional Santa Claus actor. I share several things in common with St. Nicholas that I am considered to be a modern day St. Nicholas. I share the same Name, birthday (March 15th) and Balkan Tribe Descent. We are both strong defenders of children. However not many people realize that Nicholas has many nicknames such as “Nick, Claus and etc.” The last name “Claus” is a variant of Nicholas. The Latin word for Saint is basically Santa. So basically people has been calling Saint Nicholas by his Latin name Santa Claus. The only difference between St. Nicholas and I is I was born in a poor household and not rich. Plus I am not an ordained priest, deacon or bishop. No matter what, I live the same lifestyle to like St. Nicholas who follows the way of Christ. Lastly, I forgot to mention but I am a defender of the faith too.
@ True. I may not thrown bag of gold through windows because again I was not from a rich family except a poor family. However, whenever I do see a homeless person standing in the street corner, I would buy them something to eat and new clothes for they can stay warm. I can’t afford to buy a room for them at a hotel but at least those people that I buy food and clothing for are extremely grateful for the kind gesture that I do. A true Saint like myself can’t solve world problems all in one day, but I can set example for the world to see and hopefully people can wake up and follow my lead.
That's what I'm talking about. This is your humble and charitable GIFT brother. Don't lose site of it. It's a better way to build your following for your books.
Sir please protest against catholic persecution in Venezuela and Nigeria 5 Christian's was kill every day in this country's 😢 we Christian's need create a non secular strong catholic nation's ✝️☝️
I would tell your young kids that the Santa Claus is based on Saint Nicholas. Then tell them about St. Nicholas. You might apologize for the deception, and explain that it's a long-term custom and you followed the crowd, instead of acknowledging the truth that the parents are giving gifts to their children. I never told my 3 children there was a Santa Claus. I told them the presents were from their father and me. I did not want to continue the myth of Santa Claus because I believed in the falsehood of Hinduism for 12 years. And I did not want to present the myth of Santa Claus as if he was real. One caution: My youngest told a neighbor that Santa Claus was not real... when the neighbor was little enough to believe in Santa Claus. So you might want to advise your young kids not to debunk Santa Claus to their friends who still think he is real.
The historicity behind the story of St. Nicholas slapping Arian is hugely debated. It appears to be just a legend and given Jesus’ rebuke of Peter in the garden for drawing his sword in defence of Him, probably not a legend worth promoting or to be seen as a heroic act. St. Nicholas was reprimanded by the bishops and temporarily stripped of his episcopal rank for his outburst.
i m telling you dr marsall the Almighy Jesus is the word fr above the Holy spirit is with us in all what our work we r doing in our family works always thank them ..every our of our days .. the Holy spirit is not a dove...
I pray that those with talent to generate not only authentic looking clothing of St. Nicholas but once products are available create an online and department store business that markets wholesome books, objects and clothing that reestablishes the true meaning of Christmas. When I grew up, lovely nativity scenes decorated the many department stores on Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles. We must counteract all the moves of the Deep State and the Deep Church, market beauty and throw out all that is gaudy and a reminder of godless Christmas. Families need to go back to family meals and reading, playing, and praying together as family.
Thanks for this great comment! I really enjoy your videos. It would be great having the book Nicolaos in German! You can't figure out, how lost is faith here.

We don't celebrate 25 of Dec anymore way too much demonic references to that day, to even try to find God in that day .... and why do we deserve to give each other gifts... ? When Jesus had to come Die so that we maybe forgiven.... ? If i could only know that He was born on the day .... ! And did Jesus celebrate 25 Dec...? And if not then i cant aswell.
Yes, Jesus was born on December 25th. Taylor and other theologians have videos showing the evidence for that birthdate. There is nothing "demonic" about this Christian holiday.
