Geelongs missing link has been a genuine ruckman throughout their unbelievable run over the last ten years. King and Ottens crucial to the Cats success prior. Easy team to support though for the faithful though for an eon
I gotta disagree. Blake was an ok ruck and they won 1 with him. It's the midfield that has failed them. Selwood has been very over rated and they have never had speed on the outside.
Spot on and the worst part for Cats fans is that everyone knows Rhys Stanley isn't good enough in the ruck and yet they persist with him and fail in September again and again
@@gbtrat don't blame the ruck. Blame the overrated midfield and Chris Scott for bringing in older players into an already aged team. You don't need a great ruckman to win a premiership, just look at the bulldogs in 2016 or the Hawks 3peat sides.

He's no good and he gets cleaned up in final and final and to quote the great Malcolm Blight we get carried away as a team. And de Koenig was drafted as a ruckman and yeah he's great in defense but when the hell are we going to upgrade at the most obvious weakness

Imagine if they didn't resign Ratagaleigha (or however you spell it), instead they trade him and Stanley, possibly delist Higgins and find that missing piece. Chris Scott seems as though he builds friendships with players and then he can't get rid of them. Scott is the club's biggest problem.
The Launceston game highlights the incompetence of AFL umpires. There was a ball up and a competent umpire would have conferred with the emergency umpire.
Aker doesn't care, he does what he wants to. Dunno about tarnishing his legacy, the best goalkickers can always be called out for being selfish. He was a gun, I'd have a prime Aker on a wing in my best side of all time. Dunno if I'd want to coach him though, seems like that was full of challenges.
