I had a similar issue when playing this with that map tracker. You have to turn on some options in the map tracker that are off by default. Such as the twice arrow mitigate. Also the pocket chicken gives you item if returned to the lady and the big goron in the city that sells the knife is in the pool for some reason.

Removing redundant items you have in both games and being able to use items from one game in the other would be epic.
they've been around for a while like SMZ3 (super metroid and 3rd zelda: a link to the past) has existed since at least mid 2019. just not in more complex games

I still think the loading zone between games (in other words the link between worlds) should be in lost woods. Not only does it fit thematically, it’s also not as poorly connected to the rest of the world as you‘d think; while mask shop is as close as you can be if you have the prelude of light, if you don’t have it then the lost woods are THE crossroads of areas, connecting Kokiri Forest with Goron City which is connected with Death Mountain Crater as adult Link and Zora River which is connected with Lake Hylia as child Link.
It's beautiful how this is a randomizer but by requiring You to play both this almost turns in a 100% run

Oh he will, i did, honestly, water temple is the easiest temple to me now, but uh, great bay temple still gives me some chills for how boring and repetitive it gets.
@@BrightPrimes The water temple is easily one of the best dungeons in Ocarina of Time. People just hate it because they miss one key and don't know where to find it. For me it used to be in the middle pillar room below the floating block. After I remembered that, I absolutely loved everything about the dungeon.
The magnitude of copeum in this run is hilarious

As someone who grew up repeatedly playing both games on the Collector Edition. I can’t imagine having to run back and forth through both games like this. 😭 props to you for being devoted to this.
My disk was too scratched up to play Ocarina of Time 😭
@@therealevilmudbug 😔 my disc messes up on Majoras Mask a bit. Enough that there are spots in the Ocean that drops frames really badly. Particularly walking out to where Lulu and the giant turtle are.

@@phantompop3192That's just an issue with the GCN version of Majora's Mask in general, it has all sorts of little things like that due to poor emulation
Never in my life have I seen so much swedish rage come from one man due to stray fairies. Honestly, favorite video ever.
48:14 honestly my only advice I could give for this dungeon: follow the mini fairies.
They go in a sequence that actually solves the puzzle for you. And since they always respawn at the 3 day cycle. They essentially become bread crumbs for great bay
imagine Linkus trying a 100% randomizer run glitch free but if he does a glitch he has to start over with new seed

For future reference, if you want to do the alien invasion without inverted Song of Time, you can use the bunny hood to run around the farm faster. Epona's also an option, but riding Epona while fighting the aliens is very tedious and difficult, so Inverted Song of time or Bunny Hood are your best options. Or both if you enjoy overkill.
Combining two games like this is such a cool idea
So much backend to getting all this to work too, props to the randomizer devs and anyone else who worked on it!

I love the little bonks that pop up when Link rolls or runs into something! (As well as all the other texts.) I felt that part in the vortex room... LOL Glad someone else also enjoys the Beaver Race! Ahahaha Also the little "compilations"/quick clip part with the gerudo theme was sick!
The Giants mask on og mm is VERY OP, it probably would have made the fight easier than with arrows.
As someone who owns The Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time pt 1 manga, i can confirm that after getting the master sword, he is later put into a fight against Volvagia, and gets hit when having a flashback to when they were his own pet dragon. The fight ends with Link being forced to kill him by cutting his head off. Volvagia's final word was Link's name.
After you playing this I had a thought of a fun musical challenge. Imagine you have a playlist of music from all the 3d games. The goal is to then make that music play as quickly as possible maybe even before the song ends. Seems fun. Would love to see you do something similar or music based.
To get chateau Romani (more of it) you need to have the cow mask (Romani mask if I remember it's name correctly) and it has to be worn while it's 10 pm in front of the bar in east clocktown across from the stock pot inn. The drink costs 200 rupees and unfortunately you can't get it until 10 pm because the bar opens to members only which the mask is a proof of membership.
Funny how he said he was gonna skip like all of great bay temple, but it seems like even with a few sequence breaks, he still completed like 80% of the temple, looked like he was just missing one green valve at the end.

bro you inspired me to try my first mm/oot randomizer and watching your video was so helpful cuz you showed me some checks i never knew existed which actually helped a ton because light arrows were locked behind 50 skultullas
i really loved this series, thank you so much for uploading it! the sheer amount of persistence + game knowledge needed to see this run all the way through to the end (let alone with such a brutal seed!) was absolutely delightful to watch. tysm :)
Multiworld is already used for games where multiple players have their games "Linked"... as in Player 1 might not get a boomerang until Player 3 finds it and so forth.
I've seen people call this a "multigame randomizer"
its know as a 'crossover randomizer'. at least thats what the SMZ3(super metroid + a link to the past) randomizer is called.

1:29:08 The mask salesman was holding on to the mask. In order to make sure it would be stolen. So that way, the evil spirit that is linked to the mask that curses it would be able to be Banished out of it. He is just the holder of the masks and he helps to cleanse them and make them useful for that of others.
I’ve been really getting into watching Linkus videos recently. I don’t have a lot of content creators that I can watch both paying attention or in the background, but Linkus does such a good job of creating quality content that can be enjoyed either way

i started a seed. played 4h, and had to reset windows for issues the next morning. forgot to back it. so here i am starting again. btw yes im a diehard. 100% majoras and ocarina when i was younger. but i had to google some of the sidequest steps i forgot because i was streaming so i didnt want it to take too long. also helped watching you and zfg every day for a few months

I think the OOT hast ice arrow in the tracker, its all in one symbol, you can see the elementar arrow is red/yellow and the bottom half is grey.

Fun tips for the aliens. If you use the song of inverted time they move at half speed, and the dog will point to the nearest one, and the bunny hood gives you more than enough speed to keep up with the aliens for an easy win

It would be cool if they combined the items that appear in both, so for example finding the mirror shield would unlock both versions.
You could even extend this to heart pieces and maybe rupees if you wanted, and also the Goron/Zora mask for lulz.
It would be good to have the option, at least. Randomizers are always fun to have crazy options even if most people don't use them.
Also, it would be really nice if all the items stated which game they are for, even if they only appear in one game.

Funfact: You can reach the location of fire arrows in oot with the normal hookshoot. You have to sit on Epona and use the scarecrow. I do not consider it as a glitch. More like a trick? Found this when i was a child.
