Dr krubel, I am happy for Senait but I see "red flags"/pitfalls in the presentation. You need to interview Senait and ask her all the necessary questions in same way you do in your podcasts . Very important information is not included in the presentation. 1. How is Senait supporting herself financially? Unless your father is Alamuddi, the cost of living in big cities in Sweden is very high, we are not even mentioning the shortage of affordable student housing even if you are a swedish citizen etc. 2. Sweds think in general, " we are giving an african/asian person an opportunity so that he/she uses the skills IN HIS/HER COUNTRY but the person who comes here thinks it will lead to an employment and hence permanent residence in Sweden. TWO DIFFERENT THINGS! May be the person thinks it will be easy to ask asylum here or in Norway after coming to Sweden using student scholarship. 3. " I go to college and work part time at a store, "? That is american thing, NOT THE SAME HERE. They have thousands, if not millions who speak fluent swedish and english for almost all kind of jobs. You need to THINK THROUGH before risking what you have, before taking loans from a relative, before selling your house etc, don´t assume things.
