Ideally you'd want to get both anyways. The best Mahito team requires Hanami. You use Hanami to debuff enemy damage to literal 0, and you spam Mahito supers that deal 15% guaranteed dmg to the enemy. That way you can cheese any tower enemy that isn't immune to debuffs.
He is still worth, but if his banner on global doesn't have the pity transfer yet, it might be better to just skip him and just go all out for zone yuji, de gojo, sukuna
