Hero are a massive Indian brand, mostly small bikes but moving into the 400cc market and available soon in the UK. April to June 2024 they shipped over 1.3 MILLION motorcycles.. Dwarfing everyone but Honda but only by about 250k.
@SeanandEmily yep. Only about 40 years old. Ended their relationship with Honda some time ago to develop their own range. Obviously import protection, very low labour costs, disregard for climate matters etc have helped them, tvs, baja, triumph, royal enfield etc flourish. It's not just the Chinese on the march.
Apparently the collaboration ended in 2010 because the agreement was Honda wouldn't sell their own brand in India but then they did so they parted company. The bikes seem to be very reliable and take the abuse of Indian roads
Yes that's correct the G310 range are all made in india - they are great bikes and we have ridden them lots. In europe we get the G310R and the GS but not the RR which looks cool too.

Portugal left Goa in December 1961. The local language is Konkani which has a northern and southern dialect, which is Portuguese influenced (though not fully Portuguese). North Goa beaches are more touristy whilst the south is more seclusive. Have a look at Moses Saldana's channel. Enjoying your tour!
Interesting that there is sone Portuguese language influence, yeah we found out that the north beaches are busy in the next episode lol …..needless to say we moved on to the south 😁
Starting from Goa, down south of India you will definitely see a transition from the chaos to some peace, down south to Karnataka, kerala, tamilnadu it's more calm. Overall india is more diverse isn't it.😊

Loved seeing Goa through your vlogs-brings back memories! Goa’s vibe is all about “Susegad” (relaxed living), with shops closing from 2-4 PM, a nod to its Portuguese past. South Goa is a must-visit for its unspoiled charm, especially Benaulim and Colva. This season, you’ll find tourists from Russia, the UK, and beyond-just be sure to bargain with taxi drivers! Maharashtra, in contrast, is bustling with industry, and the highway you travelled is among India’s busiest. Goa, however, remains a serene, tourist-friendly gem. Great vlog-Merry Christmas and safe travels!

Hey Sean & Emily, Yes, in Goa the vibe is "Relax". Try getting anything done there - from plumbing/carpentry, etc. They will say, "Will send someone in sometime." "Sometime" meaning, whenever. In the local language, it's called "Susegad", they're quick to say it will be tomorrow b4 you get it. In Goa, the shops are closed from 2 - 4pm, which is reminiscent from the Portuguese days. That's why people who wish to unwind & don't have much leave go to Goa. Goa has changed over the past 10yrs, especially in the big cities, Panjim, Mapusa, Madgaon. If you have time, and truly wish to experience the typical old Goa vibe, head to South Goa - Benaulim, Colva, really beautiful, and still relatively unspoilt. This time of the year typically, Goa sees influx of foreigners from Russia, UK, Germany etc. They come to enjoy the beaches in Goa. Anyway, soak it all in, plz do bargain with tuktuk & taxi drivers, if you decide to use them. Being a foreigner, they will try to charge you an abominable amount!! Wishing both of you a Merry Christmas!! Ride safe & tc.

The best way to drive in India is just relax, be mindful and calm. Be in harmony with the cosmic universe. You guys are a really cute couple. Damn, I am buying this machine and will take my wife to these amazing places. Great going you guys. Love❤
This is great advice and one we are trying to heed 😊 Thanks very much, we are really enjoying our time in India and cant wait to share some more of the magical experiences we have had here. Wishing you all the best too 😊🙏
Places you must go to in Goa: Palolem: Butterfly Beach (Don't take bike go to Palolem by bike then go to butterfly beach by a boat) If you go to Baga then definetely go to this place called O Larive Beach Bar (hidden gem small trek to get to) If you plan to stay in India till March April then do visit Ladhak. Enjoy. Be safe. You have to get rid off the riding gears it's uber hot.
Here's a piece of information you might already know, but I thought it would be helpful to share: Many hotel booking platforms in India like Yatra, MakeMyTrip, EaseMyTrip, Agoda, and Goibibo offer the option to book a hotel for just INR 1 (approximately 0.01 Swiss Franc). This allows you to visit the hotel, check if it meets your expectations, and then pay the remaining amount if you decide to stay. If not, you can cancel the booking and explore other options.
No we didn’t know about that but if we book a hotel there’s no way we will be cancelling at the last minute and risk not finding another one. Thanks for the info though 😎👍🏻
Great episode. Happy to see you're enjoying the trip better now. Also, it's good to see how carefully you are riding... dont see you in 4th too often 😉 . Is Sean just checking your indicators are off or is there some other reason you're pressing something there on the left? Enjoy Goa, its a beautiful fun state, with a different history from the rest of India, hence the culture, cuisine, architecture etc is all different. Unfortunately you cant try the amazing seafood there. Those are all coconut trees you see not palm trees. Have fun and safe riding. Cheers
Thank! Yeah this was a lovely relaxing ride with almost no beeping sounds 🤣 Still keeping it in lower gears in case we need to blast away from something and no point in riding fast with scenery like this. Yeah just a habit I have to make sure I'm not giving any false indication even though the bike does cancel it automatically eventually (don't even know I'm doing it half the time lol). Goa was super and we really enjoyed our time there. Thanks for watching 😎👍
@@SeanandEmily Thanks for your always prompt responses. I'm impressed you all manage to make the time to respond to everyone who comments while on the road. I fully understand the significant amount of time and effort that goes into just putting together the episode and you still have to eat, sleep , pack unpack and all the other fun stuff, so very commendable that you put in the extra time and effort to respond. I hope you somehow have time left over to unwind, relax and take in the sights and absorb the experience. I was just checking on your thumb action as I wasn't sure if it was some other BMW feature you were engaging.... I too have the habit of hitting the cancel indicator as the last thing I want is to tell someone around me I'm doing something I don't plan to do. Not that it's relevant to your rental but I have installed a Chigee AIO-5 dashcam on my bike, I figure if someone takes me down they're coming down with me as I will have evidence 😄 PS Have yourselves a Merry Christmas or should I say a Curry Christmas 🤣
It sure takes a lot of time and effort to run a channel so it’s nice when the likes of yourself appreciate it (lots just criticise and look for mistakes - sad really 🤣) That’s a good idea! Great to have evidence in case of the unthinkable. Haha thanks very much and we wish you all the best too 😊🙏🏻
@@SeanandEmily LOL... the easiest thing is to be an armchair critic. I look at exceptional channels I follow and think of the Oscars... there are so many categories, so much money and so many people involved but in your case it's the two of you, directing, writing the script(so to speak no pun intended 😀), editing (which must be a huge task), cinematography, production and so much more that happens in the background. I have done many 2 wheeled trips and know how much needs to be done without running a channel so I fully appreciate your efforts. So thanks for everything you folks do. Cheers
The official language of Goa is Konkani and there is a Konkani film I really loved called Nachom Ia Kumpasar. The music in that film is awesome. Your socialization into Goan culture is incomplete without Feni, Cabo and Paul John Whisky.
What a beautiful road, it looked fresher!! I was just wondering where all the rubbish was and the fine must deter potential litterers! Great to have air con in the hotel after a sticky ride. Yes, a clean room is a priority!
It really was a lovely way to enter Goa and it shows that it is possible not to have litter everywhere and just needs a change in attitude. So nice to step into a chilled room after a hot ride 😊
Oh no I just realised you will enter Kerala expecting amazing scenery but the whole highway is under construction and is going to be absolute hell for about 150km making your Maharashtra trip seem like a ride through paradise. Ofcourse it gets better and the inner routes are still amazing but the main highway will test you
I suggest you take a trip from Goa to Mangalore. During this trip you can visit karwar, Gokarna, murudeshwara, Kundapura, Udupi and finally to Mangalore. From mangalore you can move towards Madikere Coorg or to other parts of Kerala. You will see better places and better experiences of India in terms of sea food, culture and diversity. You can also visit dandeli if you like forest areas / greenery which is near by to Goa. In Goa I suggest you to visit butterfly beach, palolem beach , Agonda Fort. And other beaches like Baga which are good. The route suggested by me continues with the coastal belt of India towards south of Maharashtra to Karnataka and then to kerala.
Hi guys looks like your having a great adventure I was in India in the late 90s I know I seem to be following you after just been to nord kap looking for the next trip Can you tell me weather it’s easy to hire a bmw in India
Yeah it’s an adventure for sure!!! A big contrast from the Nord Kap tour 😁. This bike is not available to rent and was organised for us by BMW so can’t really help with that. Perhaps they do offer rentals -maybe ask BMW Mumbai. Otherwise I’ve seen many RE for rent.
World's biggest festival is happening in Goa 28,29,30,31 Dec... Its called SUNBURN festival..all the international DJ's, singers, actors come and perform...you are very that you are in Goa at this time.. please don't miss it out Goa is very small so it won't take long to reach the place. If you don't believe me just search on TH-cam how big of a festival it is.
Sounds great! I unfortunately this series is not live real time (would be impossible to make these on tour) thanks for the tips and hope you have a great time 😎👍🏻
Many tour Delhi and mumbai and think india is unbearably chaotic and intense. But southern part of India is calm but very less chaotic and with high literacy rate.
Hero and Honda had a partnership that started in 1984, forming Hero Honda. Together, they produced many successful motorcycles. However, this collaboration ended in 2010. Now, Hero MotoCorp operates independently, while Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) functions as a separate entity. Both companies have their own products and branding
I've seen more Coca-Cola signs in five minutes than I've seen in five years in the states. Lol. The 2 lane roads in India seem to have simple people like in the states. They're so polite and just wanting to make it from day to day. People can learn a lesson from this. 👍👍
Yeah it’s crazy! The think the Coca-Cola signs are really old but have lasted well! The shops painted in full coke colours actually look really cool! Yeah for sure the relaxed atmosphere of the countryside is a welcome change from the chaos of the cities. 😎👍🏻
Hero had a tie up with Honda in India for a long time, they have both gone their separate ways now and Hero have a marketing tie up with Harley Davidson in India now.Hero is incidentally the largest manufacturer of two wheelers in the world.
Hi sean and emily, That was a lovely ride in goa nice scenery and much less traffic, And you seem to be stopping in nice hotels, And good service that they insist on bringing up your heavy luggage. Don't know if you are back home for Christmas, But where ever you are I wish you both a lovely Christmas and good health and happiness for 2025, And look forward to more great videos in the new year. Best wishes from Roy in England 😊.
Hi Roy, it seems every hotel we stay at (good or bad) carry the luggage for you. We feel bad as it's heavy and when we try to help they almost get offended. Yeah we are back home now to a very cold and snowy Switzerland - quite a contrast to the india temperatures we got used to lol. All the best to you too Roy 😊
I remember about 20 years ago visiting my daughter and her family in Switzerland and being concerned about the 50CHF notes being dispensed from the auto bank . My daughter said not to worry because the Swiss like the folding stuff. Paying by card was unusual then.
The swiss never have a problem taking the money 😂 I once took chf1000 out of the ATM and it gave me 5 notes lol And nobody looks twice if you buy a loaf if bread with a chf200 note 😁 -although today most pay by card.
Yes that's the one! -although we realised it wasn't this house at all (in fact it was a complete different state lol) still the house did look familiar
Hey! Thanks very much! We do everything ourselves for the Channel but there are two of us to reply etc -today you have me (Sean) 🤣 …. Keeping up with comments is getting out of hand so will have to start ignoring the stupid ones 😁.
I was waiting for this. Getting addicted 😊. Please keep posting. Kind of remind me of TREADtheglobe (if you know) where they did the road trip in a van.
The credit card machines in most of India are designed to accept just Indian debit and credit cards. Now some of the 'higher end' (subjective 😄) businesses will accept all international cards as well. Goa being a tourist spot should have no problem accepting any international cards. I'd be shocked if they don't. My 2 cents.
Yeah you are correct 😁 only the bigger hotels accepted our cards -it was annoying as a lot of the hotels that didn’t accept foreign credit cards also didn’t accept pre payment in booking .com
Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh are also amazingly beautiful. Recommended for Emily, neat and clean states. Many more are also adding up
Hi, your might not working is because you might not have told your issuing company that you are going to use them in India. Just call them and ask them to unlock the block in India
Hi, we thought this at first but it turns out places need a different card reader for foreign cards. So only bigger hotels had these. Fortunately our cash cards work in the ATM so we could use cash. 😎👍🏻

6:00 well, although if the amount is in multiple of 500 then the machine will give you all 500 notes but if you want some change you can withdraw something like 5300 which will give a 200 and a 100 rupee note
Riding in the sun and wearing black colored gears, what did you think was gonna happen? Lose the jacket, keep elbow guards and gloves, but wear cotton clothes like everybody else. It's very light and cooler.
We left Switzerland that was 0 degrees it’s gna feel got regardless 🤣, bad advice not to wear the gear -jacket is fully vented so it lets a lot of air in when moving.

Wishing you all the best too 😊🙏
Welcome to south vibe 🌴
Thanks! 🍻
Goa is not part of south india
@ said south vibe not south India, there’s only one Bharat ( India )
You should definitely go to Kerala. Munnar, alaphuzha, idukki. You should definitely visit this places. And ooty and Kodiakanal in Tamilnadu
Sounds great! 😎👍🏻
Awesome video ❤❤ waiting for next one
Thanks! Working on it now 😀
How was your experience with the 1250GS in the hot weather? Was the engine heat bearable or not noticeable or troubling?
Fantastic as always! 😎👍🏻 we don’t notice things like that -it is after all a motorcycle
Places you must go to in Goa:
Palolem: Butterfly Beach (Don't take bike go to Palolem by bike then go to butterfly beach by a boat)
If you go to Baga then definetely go to this place called O Larive Beach Bar (hidden gem small trek to get to)
If you plan to stay in India till March April then do visit Ladhak.
Enjoy. Be safe. You have to get rid off the riding gears it's uber hot.
Getting rid of riding gear is terrible advice -just because it’s hot doesn’t mean you won’t lose your skin in an accident.
Not that it's relevant to your rental but I have installed a Chigee AIO-5 dashcam on my bike, I figure if someone takes me down they're coming down with me as I will have evidence 😄
PS Have yourselves a Merry Christmas or should I say a Curry Christmas 🤣
It sure takes a lot of time and effort to run a channel so it’s nice when the likes of yourself appreciate it (lots just criticise and look for mistakes - sad really 🤣)
That’s a good idea! Great to have evidence in case of the unthinkable. Haha thanks very much and we wish you all
the best too 😊🙏🏻
@@SeanandEmily LOL... the easiest thing is to be an armchair critic.
Thanks for the recommendations!
13:10 made my day.. :P
😁 there’s always at least one head bop in each series 🤣
Godspeed🎉
Thanks 🙏
What a beautiful road, it looked fresher!! I was just wondering where all the rubbish was and the fine must deter potential litterers! Great to have air con in the hotel after a sticky ride. Yes, a clean room is a priority!
It really was a lovely way to enter Goa and it shows that it is possible not to have litter everywhere and just needs a change in attitude. So nice to step into a chilled room after a hot ride 😊
@SeanandEmily exactly! You'd think they'd prefer litter free! Yes, I can just imagine the relief from that heat!
Oh no I just realised you will enter Kerala expecting amazing scenery but the whole highway is under construction and is going to be absolute hell for about 150km making your Maharashtra trip seem like a ride through paradise. Ofcourse it gets better and the inner routes are still amazing but the main highway will test you
It's all part of the adventure 🤣
Thanks for your great suggestions 😎👍
Hi guys looks like your having a great adventure I was in India in the late 90s
I know I seem to be following you after just been to nord kap looking for the next trip
Can you tell me weather it’s easy to hire a bmw in India
I unfortunately this series is not live real time (would be impossible to make these on tour) thanks for the tips and hope you have a great time 😎👍🏻
Should definitely come to south Goa, Betul Cabo De Rama
Heading that way next!
Namste guys welcome to prayagraj mahakumbh in January month and enjoy world biggest mahakumbh festival
Namaste 🙏🏻 unfortunately we won’t be here for the festival but we wish you a fantastic mahakumbh 😊👍🏻
Many tour Delhi and mumbai and think india is unbearably chaotic and intense. But southern part of India is calm but very less chaotic and with high literacy rate.
Not Delhi and Mumbai but Paharganj and Dharavi only.
Always good to see as much possible and not just go to the same places as everyone else 👍🏻
even north indian cities rural area are quite
That tuck on the helmet 😂😂😂 but you were right sean😂
🤣
Hero and Honda had a partnership that started in 1984, forming Hero Honda. Together, they produced many successful motorcycles. However, this collaboration ended in 2010.
Now, Hero MotoCorp operates independently, while Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) functions as a separate entity. Both companies have their own products and branding
Interesting, didn't know that! Thanks for sharing!
So u people reached Goa 🎉. The Royal Enfield cafe is somewhere in goa.
We sure did! 😎
Merry Christmas from Ireland 🇮🇪 take care now 👍👍👍
Thanks! All the best to you too!
Hero had a tie up with Honda in India for a long time, they have both gone their separate ways now and Hero have a marketing tie up with Harley Davidson in India now.Hero is incidentally the largest manufacturer of two wheelers in the world.
Awesome thanks for the information, maybe Hero can help Harley Davidson become more reliable 😉
Wow came my areaaaa corjuem to aldona let's gooo❤
👍🏻
Go to South Goa . You will love it.
We do! ……after a very overcrowded North Goa beach experience 🤣
Visit reis magos fort just at same place u stayed..i stay next to this hotel
Thanks we will check it out
❤❤❤
😎👍🏻
Hope Emily is having a good time in Coorg
We are both having a great time exploring 🇮🇳🥰🧡
@@SeanandEmily Envy you guys.. happy travels across South IN 🥰
The payment is mainly through UPI payment system.Hence, mostly no one carries cash now..
Yeah we know but it makes it difficult for tourists who need to use cash
I remember about 20 years ago visiting my daughter and her family in Switzerland and being concerned about the 50CHF notes being dispensed from the auto bank . My daughter said not to worry because the Swiss like the folding stuff.
Paying by card was unusual then.
The swiss never have a problem taking the money 😂 I once took chf1000 out of the ATM and it gave me 5 notes lol And nobody looks twice if you buy a loaf if bread with a chf200 note 😁 -although today most pay by card.
Nice......
Glad you enjoyed it! 😊
Was it 'Curry & Cyanide - The Jolly Joseph case'...
Yes that's the one! -although we realised it wasn't this house at all (in fact it was a complete different state lol) still the house did look familiar
Hey guys!! Love your work...i had a curious question. Do you guys really comment or just hired someone?
Hey! Thanks very much! We do everything ourselves for the Channel but there are two of us to reply etc -today you have me (Sean) 🤣 …. Keeping up with comments is getting out of hand so will have to start ignoring the stupid ones 😁.
@@SeanandEmily I'm so glad to hear that Sean. By the way have you tried the seafood there... I'm sure you guys would love it
Actually we are vegan 😁 but thanks for the tips! 😎👍🏻
Do you need food suggestions in goa?
We are no longer in India but thanks very much for your help 😊
Jolly Joseph Cyanide case It's from kerala and that house was painted with the same color that's why you got confused 😕
Ah yes! I couldn't remember where it was!
I was waiting for this. Getting addicted 😊. Please keep posting. Kind of remind me of TREADtheglobe (if you know) where they did the road trip in a van.
Lots more to come! Thanks for watching 🧡🇮🇳
Campa Cola 🥤 indian brand cola soda or bisleri spyci or Gluco Cola or kalimark cola soda.
😎👍
Hi,Did you planning to explore Kerala in this trip
We visit Kerala later on in the series, but due to time couldn’t stay as long as we wanted to. 👍🏻
do visit munnar if possible ❤
Thanks for the recommendation!
Would you consider visiting elora caves 😅
They look INCREDIBLE!
Nice
Thanks
you should visit arambol in n goa
👍🏻
Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh are also amazingly beautiful. Recommended for Emily, neat and clean states. Many more are also adding up
Thanks for the tips!
Whats the plan after india?
Spain 🥰🌍
Hey rider
How r u
i hope you enjoy indian traffic
Hey! Yeah it’s exciting for sure 😁
As a 1.4+ bn. Population country, you will find much more trafic / public on urban roads, also you will find heavy trafic on each and every National as well as State highways.
Because of large population, even my cities population is over 700+ k, my city is 81st largest city in India.
They are big cities for sure! 😎💪
Come to Shillong Meghalaya
👍🏻🇮🇳🧡
Portuguese left Goa 14yrs after India got Independence they left in December 1961..!!
Ok 👍🏻
6:00 well, although if the amount is in multiple of 500 then the machine will give you all 500 notes but if you want some change you can withdraw something like 5300 which will give a 200 and a 100 rupee note
Yeah but that only helps us once .. 😂🤣 Thanks though
Previously Hero and Honda used to operate as one bike company, and it was known as Hero Honda. But later Hero and Honda separated
Interesting history and a really successful bike!
try going to Wayanad , u will love it more
Thanks for the tip, we might have to check it out for next time!
Visit Lonavala hill station Maharashtra near Pune
Thanks for the tip 😎
Riding in the sun and wearing black colored gears, what did you think was gonna happen?
Lose the jacket, keep elbow guards and gloves, but wear cotton clothes like everybody else. It's very light and cooler.
We left Switzerland that was 0 degrees it’s gna feel got regardless 🤣, bad advice not to wear the gear -jacket is fully vented so it lets a lot of air in when moving.
