    Okay so I think additional 15 sec for campaign would be nice, including which Lord gives best bonuses/upkeep for that unit and maybe, I dunno, buildings? Other than that I thinks it's simple, but effective mini series!

      No lords give specific bonuses to Demi’s as well as there being no buildings that give anything specific to Demi’s as well. I believe most lords red line give a bonus to ward save and the tech tree has one or two upgrades. They do however benefit from a lot of knight and cav buildings

      Yeah, a short summary of how easy it is to get them, when you should go for them, and where they're the most useful.
      Like in this case, demigryphs are great against the slow, heavily armoured chaos for a late-game Empire campaign, but would be pretty bad against the swarmy low-armour VC.

    Actually this was perfect. It's nice to get an overview of what a unit is for and what versions to use when. Sometimes when you're just getting started you don't know what to send units against aside from if the tooltip says 'anti large' or 'armor piercing' and without really digging in, there's not much way for a newbie to learn the nuance you're able to give in 2 min. If there's any campaign or multiplayer references, maybe just a quick blurb on what LLs have especially good upgrades for a given unit, which LL can do without recruiting much of a unit because their buffs improve a different unit for the same roles, and which factions you definitely shouldn't (or should definitely should) bring the unit against in MP.

    Campaign content is always welcome. It's what most people play. Love watching multiplayer and dabble in it sometimes, but with so many different matchups it's incredibly overwhelming. Additionally, a lot of units that you wouldn't pick in multiplayer shine in campaign. So yes, more! :)

  • @MandaloreTheReclaimer
    @MandaloreTheReclaimer 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    2 Demigryphs and a warrior priest on horseback with his buffs is a near unstoppable force in multiplayer, you can also add karl franz into the mix for even more buffs, the alpha strike potential is incredible.

  • @brandonlopina7733
    @brandonlopina7733 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    This video was incredibly helpful. I usually play coop with a buddy and we were trying to figure out why one would take Demigryphs. Not that we thought they were bad but because of how campaign works it seemed that Reiksguard were basically good enough and you didn't really need Demigryphs.
    Other than a substantial speed increase we didn't find Demigryphs too incredibly important compared to just Reiksguard and Outriders.

    First off I think this is a great idea for a series of videos. Nice one! In answer to you're question, personally I don't see the need to mention their campaign use or multiplayer unless there's something particular for either scenario that would be worth mentioning. That's just my take though.

    Multiplayer demigryphs in 2 min + Campaign demigryphs in 2 minutes (or even 5) would also make some good videos. Honestly though, 10 min is the perfect bite sized chunk to get in everything you need to say on one get specific topic. But this is a good video.

    Not sure if you will read this since this isn't a "new" vid (still pretty new though) but here goes...
    I finally broke down and bought warhammer II during the anniversary sale recently. Then subsequently purchased all but four (paunch, warden/beast, wood elves, beastmen) dlc's and warhammer I.
    Have already logged 232 hrs. collectively between war I and war II and all of it has been single player.
    So for me any info helping me to suck less in single player would be greatly appreciated.
    That and I love your manner of speaking.
    You ARE the British Howard Cosell. Sorry if that name is older than your generation, or if you aren't British...
    But I can't recommend enough that anybody that doesn't know who Howard Cosell is give him a little listen. Whenever Zerkovich is discussing the strengths/weaknesses of units/armies I get a mental image of Cosell from when I watched the NFL in my youth. Well, that and the Japanese brothers in Better off Dead (movie)...

    Since these are broad overviews of specific units, I don’t know if either the campaign or multiplayer guide is strictly necessary, but given the choice a campaign overview is going to apply to more viewers because of the way the playerbase is divided.

    I only play campaign, but I feel like campaign offers the opportunity to experiment with all the units from a faction and play around quite a bit. I wouldn't mind hearing your thoughts on campaign at all, but I also think that there are more variables, so it seems like there's less broadly applicable insight to share there. Multiplayer is more narrowly focused, so it fits this format really well.
    Ah, here's an idea: these multiplayer focused videos seem to be perfect in terms of their accessibility, usefulness and (I assume) ease of production for you. I kind of think that should be preserved. For campaign, since there are more variables and it's a little fuzzier, I would rather a different format - a longer video that might encompass multiple or all units for a faction working together. Or perhaps it could be a video highlighting a sample stack that synergizes well with a campaign's Lord - that way, it would give an overview, a sample, and some details, without having to be comprehensive.
    Overall, I think you've hit on something good with these short focused videos, and if that makes production easier, I'd stick with it. Trying to add campaign info to this format might break the groove.

  • @IKBENEENPAARD

  • @MC-es3dy
    @MC-es3dy 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    the video is great, maybe up it to 3 minutes, and touch upon some must-know information between multiplayer and singleplayer if they're significant - spending the last minute splitting 30 seconds for each game mode.
    For example, bloated corpses are always efficient against high value units or blobs, but in multiplayer this may be more difficult to put off due to focus fire or cheap fast chaff to soak up the corpse. Still, it helps dictate a little what your opponent will need to do. In singleplayer they're a fair bit more effective because the AI will clump up, and they can be easily be raised from the dead. e.t.c.
    In the campaign advice you can briefly refer to campaign map mechanics that might be worth noting, or legendary lords that like those units and what buffs they can give (but only if they're good).
    In multiplayer you'll have to recognise that some units will be less effective due to your opponent being a smarter human, but it might also open up avenues of use that work against humans well.

  • @flamingopie
    @flamingopie 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Some units function better in evenly matched armies or vs AI, but I think the "does well vs this but not that, apply here for maximum effect but avoid there" works pretty well for both campaign and matched. Maybe just note when something is trash in one format but amazing in the other e.g. skaven weapon team spam

    I'd love a multiplayer focus with an example of build !

  • @Luke_Danger
    @Luke_Danger 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yeah, for campaign usage it's better to note them when they are particularly effective or useful - IE, noting when a unit is a particularly good one for armies that are going to be garrisoning (Asur basic Spearmen and Archers stand out here as thanks to Martial Prowess they can actually do really well when supporting a garrison) during the Vortex campaign or units that are particularly useful in sieges (offensively or defensively). We don't need to know "Sisters of Avelorn are awesome in Campaign, especially with Alarielle", but we might want to know if a certain unit is particularly useful in a siege battle rather than a field one, or if certain units should be avoided in campaign for armies that are going to be doing certain situations, or if they fill a particularly important niche that players might overlook just looking at their basic stats.

    I just played an empire campaign and was struggling against VC. I was not really happy how classic range empire stuck was doing, so i decided to try demigryphs. It turned out they freaking bulldoze the VC! After that i realize that VC didn't really have anything to deal with demigryphs except the blood knights, which is rarely recruited by AI, and almost all they good units are considered large which is perfect for demigryphs. You just need to stack all kinds of buffs from WP and empire unique weapons and the they would have insane stats. I really recommend to try this out if you play as empire.
    P.S. They also seems to have ridiculous auto resolve power. When chaos invasion started i was able to easily autoresolve 3 full stucks of chaos armies without casualties! I don't sure if even full stuck of steam tanks have that much auto resolve power, go figure...

If you're playing on lower difficulties you can build +- any build. I think(MY opinion) it isn't so important to talk about campaign, more important is MP, where you're playing not with the stupid, predictable Al(Zerkovich's doing great content but if it's about campaign I listen to more experienced(like Legend) people(not an isult to Zerkovich)).
