Ria Busby they actually offer classes where you can get your dog trained like a police dog! My mom was gonna do it with our dobie! We never ended up doing it but I think it’s pretty cool!
Terriers in general are super smart but they can be agreessive. Ceaser got mauled by a yellow lab too. Some dogs are just not pets. I raised a pit from a pup and she was an angel to every human but hated dogs. Hated them! Wasn't a big fan of our cat either but loved kids and people. Miss her.

Hands down my favorite breed!!! I've had many over the years, most were somebody else's dog they couldn't keep for one reason or another. I've had all kinds of breeds over the years, but I always find myself with a Pitbull. My Rottweiler and Shepard were the most protective, but nothing touches the loyalty of a pitbull. They will without a doubt lay down their life for there owner without any hesitation!!! If I have company over and someone gets Loud, my current Red Nose will show up to make sure everything is ok. If I'm walking him and someone gets to close and acts a fool, he's right there to eliminate the threat. Years ago my 80lb female saved my life. A Neighbors highly aggressive Large male Rottweiler got out. Not knowing this we went on a walk, when all of a sudden this 130lb snarling Rottweiler charged us. In seconds he was was 10ft from me, and the next thing I knew she had puffed up and gone in to protect mode. He got to about 7ft before he thought better about attacking us. She actually backed his butt back in to his yard allowing us to get home. Needless to say, she got a Pack of hotdogs and treats that night. She lived to about 18years old before she passed in her sleep at the foot of my bed one night. I have 2 rescued pits now, Redman the red nose, and Poots the all the black female. Both are house dogs and have never been a issue. You could leave the gate open and tell them stay and neither will walk out the gate. They seem to know there's nothing better than where they live, so why leave!!!! They really do get a Bad Rap by people that have no idea how good these dogs really are. A person can take any breed and make a monster, the breed has nothing to do with it!!!! The shelters are full of pitbulls, so adopt one today!!!!
Love this comment advocate man we need people to raise as much awareness as possible about this amazing breed pits are way more docile than people think big goofballs until it comes time to protect they can flip the switch when it's necessary to but 90% of the time they are cuddlebugs who just want to be pet and hugged and loved. Then the colors were excepted as "tri" by hobby breeders and labeled "rare" to sell for more. Some are even showing up in shelters for adoption. I own 2 now and have produced a few over the pass 15 years.
Nice looking dog but it's a cross there is no such thing as tri color or gray or merle pitbull the breed has a standard in color and weight do your research please people before the internet you had to buy books on this breed and gamedog magazines the tri color comes from a cross with a dog breed named blue lacey and the merle color comes from the cattalohua leopard dog and blue comes from the Staffordshire terrier and a blue paul terrier which no longer exist

That’s like saying that Mexican people commit more crimes but adding Puerto Rican’s, Colombians, Guatemala, and Venezuela. Pitbulls were TRAINED to be attack dogs. If you ever own a pit you know they are the softest cuddliest dogs. They don’t sleep at the foot of the bed. They sleep right next to you. I have a pit-lab and being so affectionate isn’t a lab trait.
@Jason Diaz it's TRUE. I even chained him to a tire and rim and put him in a full body harness. I come home and see the chain over the fence and the tire and rim hanging halfway up the fence. I was horrified that I was gonna see him hanging on the other side. He escaped a very well fitting full body harness. He could get out of thos at will. He somehow was smart enough to know that If he let his front arms limp he could escape. He could open doors and fences. He would hold a treat on his nose until you said OKAY. You could even try and fake him out with words that sounded like it. He was an escape artist and strong AF from carrying around a tire. Brilliant dog... a little crazy though

@@iamstan90 thank you , he was a special kid . he was conceived the week my dad passed , and born the week of my birthday , and was gifted to me by a friend who also lost his dad to cancer . i knew 4 generations of his family . was never a pit person really , prior , but fell in love with his grandmother . when he was 3.5 , he was exposed to leptospirosis , and fought kidney failure for 3 years , at a huge financial cost . id have done anything for him . he was my kid . couple cheesy video's from years ago on my page , if youd want to see him . was a majestic, big , tri color . i still have his girlfriend and daughter .

Some people don’t understand that pits that attack and maul people are TAUGHT/TRAINED to do that. Pitbulls aren’t born vicious or aggressive, they are just like any other dog.
Actually this is false!!! The majority that attack are by ill educated owners. From CDC the majority are from non fixed/ chained dogs and or poor containment and poorly socialization. If it was stickley a breed problem due to owners training to fight, then we wouldn't have fatalities by Labs, Goldens and many other breeds. Dogs attack and kill, and when they do it is the owner's fault 99.9% of the time.

Pit bulls just want to have fun!!!!! They want love and cuddle but when their INSTINCTS of PROTECTING come in then all fun and games are over. They needs lots of attention and good ones like training all day everyday because of their energy levels. Other then that that dog did amazing!!!!

Some people don’t understand that pits that attack and maul people are TAUGHT/TRAINED to do that. Pitbulls aren’t born vicious or aggressive, they are just like any other dog.
Actually this is false!!! The majority that attack are by ill educated owners. From CDC the majority are from non fixed/ chained dogs and or poor containment and poorly socialization. If it was stickley a breed problem due to owners training to fight, then we wouldn't have fatalities by Labs, Goldens and many other breeds. Dogs attack and kill, and when they do it is the owner's fault 99.9% of the time.
