The sudden panic at the high tonnage contact immediately after jokingly mourning the broken fabricator reminds me of when I was playing Space Engineers with some friends. We were laughing and joking around while letting some uranium ore refine when suddenly the captain started screaming in incoherent terror because a Reaver battleship spawned nearby and was making a beeline toward our little cargo freighter XD
An experience I can directly relate to. Odly terrifying enemy to deal with because they do not care about coming back alive.
I developed special weighted impactor torpedoes on top of my regular fragmentation ones specifically because of their tendency to keep going on a ballistic trajectory. Obviously the fragmentation torpedos would make minced meat of almost any reaver ship but they would just keep going on a ramming course on whatever they were planning on shooting, so I had to make what is essentially a big solid chunk of metal to specially knock the now drifting wreck off course after it's destruction to make sure it would not impact the base. Most other NPC ships usually approached slower and not directly so usually the lower impulse of the initial torpedo barrage is always enough to knock them off course

trying to sorta summarize what the alien was saying it seems to imply its the last of its kind the natives of europa who advanced until they devloped wormhole technology and left europa unable to achive convential space flight or even to escape the europan iceshell without dying.
this alien was the last one left maintaing the gateway bewteen europa and the europans new home as a consuqence it caused the massive radiation waves in barotrauma by defeating the last europan and closing the portal europa is now safe for humanity to colonize in mass though at the cost of a potential method of ftl travel.
though the europans words of respect to humanity as its dies or perhaps even just reinters the europans new home show they view humanities ablity to traiditionally explore space as a far greater gift.

Actually, they are the last of their kind because of the “song” that corrupted their race. He has been trapped for millennia, wishing for death, for freedom from the song. The boss fight is essentially him begging you to kill him, but the song compelling him to defend himself

I just understood what they meant by "For us there is no stars only home" and when the realization that it was referring to how eldritch gods can be considered galactic godly beings in some manners god did i start to enjoy that phrase a lot more yet again

So long story short Jupiter's great red spot is a place that houses the jove which is responsible for the jovian radiation and the ancients worshipped the jove but then held them captive so once you kill the jove Jupiter's red spot collapses thus freeing the ancients as they thank you and tell you that the sky are open as in go our storys at it's end but yours is beginning then they send you back to the beginning of the game and it acts like a new game+ i think I've never gotten that far

11:07 what i believe what it says is refering to the aincents their kind is ending, but they dont know how long the human race will survive and the bridge to escape eroupa to a past time is collapsing followed by the "for us there is no stars, only home" implies that the aincents are an interstellar or even intergalactic race that are now dying out, possibly due to the very thing that deleted or severed the outside space around jupiter. Then theres "but for you the skies are open" thats making me rethink this entire theory reply in comments what you think. it says

The line that black out after the "The bridge is collapsing." reads the following...... "but you can still make it back across". What i think this line implies that its actually the "time loop", Between past and future. This universe we encounter him and his time has come to an end but other universe we do not know which the line "Our song has been sung, but the number of verses in yours we do not know" might means...
I don't remember the words verbatim but ther s actually more to the transmission at the end talking about the radiation clearing up and the red spot on Jupiter seeming to calm down. There's even talks with the doctor (who they killed which is probably why those segments were cut) talking about us going to the center of Europa and losing contact, speaking of the time loop and seeing us again while the other stations are confused by the line they pray wherever we are that we are safe as they will regard our actions as heroic
