Sorry to hear that you were not able to get the new van. We had a similar problem some years ago when we ordered a new swift. The problem turned out that the caravan hadn’t actually been made. The fault was entirely the fault of the company we bought it through Barons at the time. Probably similar to you. I wouldn’t go to easy on stuart longtons. They are the broker for finance and the caravan manufacturer. This is why we buy from dealerships and pay the price. They of course make a lot of money. Anyway keep smiling. If it fallls through you have a lovely van anyway.

Agree with the other comment about getting a personal loan...cheaper APR (use the likes of Experian /Money Saving Expert/ Credit Karma etc to get the best rate and chances of being accepted before you apply) and you fill in the application online so your details are correct avoiding subsequent unforeseen problems you encountered and no finance registered against the caravan if any money is still owed when you trade it in or sell it privately. Really hope you get sorted. .

These finance companies have you over a barrel but from what you say it looks like SL are doing their best to keep your business. At the end of the day it was SL that entered your personal details on the agreement. If it all goes through I think you need to blag some freebies for your inconvenience and sticking with them all this time - plus the amount of free publicity you give them.
